I just (12/27)  received my fall edition of the WHCC newsletter and read about an action coming up on 11/23/19 Toms Brook Va. Obviously I missed this by over a month but my question is did anyone attend this auction? I don’t recall seeing anything here on Red Square about this ?

I did not know the guy or anything about the auction. I searched all over the web trying to find any information about this and nothing came up. Perhaps because it’s over? Maybe it was a topic of discussion here and I missed it but 30 tractors,signage and memorabilia I would think would be a large post on the worlds best Wheel Horse site!!! Someone please help, I’m going to loose sleep over this 😜

How come people from the WHCC knew about this but never posted it here? I’m confused, if there was enough signage and memorabilia I would have probably gone for a road trip. As I’m sure others here would have?

Very few of club members are here ...why I don't  know but don't loose sleep over Don as you been in this hobby long enough to know easy come easy go. I do see your fret tho as XLT @ZXT (he's really a Ford guy ) mentioned I've  seen WH stuff, mainly D250 stuff, going for scrap price at auctions.

Must not have been a well advertised auction for our VA brethren not to notice?

Yep, that's what he called me. There's a member here (also in Texas, but in El Paso) named XLT, so he probably got them mixed up. 

 

If anything I'd have to be called SLT... Because Dodge.

Jim, we had a talk about this between the Blue guys, and actually Karl should be the one to explain it.  Some of us did not really see an issue (because we are all trying to save the horses)...but this site is not here to promote other's sales by posting links.  Maybe @Sparky-(Admin) can pop in here and say it better.  I left what you posted because the auction had already happened.  That guy had amassed a ton of Wheel Horse stuff.  Just stating that there is an auction in Va. and then let all do their own searching, may be one way to get by with it.  I understand both sides of this as it pertains to this site, but it does seem like shooting yourself in the foot.

   Another way to let people know is to get Karl's permission and state the issue like he says.  @nylyon

Yup, got my newsletter Thursday and was disappointed to learn that I too had missed it.  I’m always up for a little road trip in ole VA.  If I had known about it, I would have been there!
