    Used as a kill relay on 1981 B-Series tractors with magneto ignition. The battery style ignition switch controls the relay to ground the magneto ignition.
    Starting in 1986 used in the low-oil starter circuit for single-cylinder Kohler engines.
     
    106833 3-terminal relay replaced by a 5 terminal substitute in production because of a parts shortage.
    These were replaced by SA121378 service assembly which was replaced by 99-5365 kit.
    The 99-5365 kit contained a 48-4700 relay which has been replaced by 116397 relay.
    116397 relay used on 1990 312-8 for the low oil starter circuit and 1990 520-H as a starter relay.

    For 1N4002 diode, the maximum current carrying capacity is 1A it withstand peaks up to 30A. Hence we can use this in circuits that are designed for less than 1A.  The reverse current is 5uA which is negligible. It can withstand reverse voltage peak up to 100V.

    The female terminal can be released from it's plastic holder by collapsing the locking tab using a tool such as a 3/32" cotter pin that is opened up. Stick the cotter pin in behind the terminal where the male terminal would enter while holding the wire. That will bend the tab down. Leave the cotter pin there and the wire and terminal should pull out of the plastic holder.
    Use the blade of a knife to bent the tab back up and reinsert into the plastic holder. Don't flip it over. It will only lock in with the tab facing the same direction.
