So that will give added size, more capacity with the ABS prints, I can put more on at one time, and an addituonal printer to keep busy:)

So given that the length of the diagonal is going to be 12 x 1.414, I realize that's with very very thin things..... How long will you be able to print in a practical nature?

On my 8x8 i managed to print the headlight bezel diagonally. 2x15, 3x14,4x13 should be about max rectangulars for given width.

With the B17 as an example, i should be able to print that  in an 18" wingspan(150%) increase of 50% in size.

Sooo if we lengthened the base from 4" to 12"

In scale that would be 8" tall about 3-4" wide! Would actually be a bit taller i think.

That would be massive!

Definately Collosal! On the new printer could stretch that length a couple inches more so peobably 9 or almost 10 inches tall!

IMHO... On the big scale version, I would narrow up some spots like where the wheel is.

Can only go so narrow with the wheel to keep it past the lines if the base.  Could possibly provide a gap there around the wheel like the one between the head and wheel and sink the wheel flush to the base. Or just carve a circular inset into the sides of the base.

Yes absolutely. 

 

@Oldskool has had a fleeting glimpse of the alleged project. 

Perhaps he could verify it's existence but I wouldn't want to pressure him too awful much.
