Those do look excellent. Was this done with changing the fillaments for the different colors? Looks very tricky to pull off.

On these, the head and wheel were printed in the Enzo red, and the base probably in gray. Then the wheel, hub, and base were painted.

Saved a bunch of time in prep and painting for the horse head, and the color on the horse head is more than skin deep! A true 4 color unit could print the black and white as well. Silver...thats another filament that just doesnt look as good as the paint. There might be a metallic out there that looks right, but not that ive found yet. Im also printing in abs rather than pla which makes those colors harder to find.

I recall adding it to my redsquare album recently...did it place it on the storefront too? LOL I probably did.   Credit where credit is due!

Tell her big thanks for all the cool unique items and paint schemes to showcase!

She always challenges my skills!

First attempt at a model of some of the heavy equipment I work on. Has severe warping on one piece, about 1/4 inch. Looking at perhaps switching to a friendlier filament than ABS. PETG is about the same temp parameters with less warping.

Looks great !

I love to print PLA because of it‘s extreme less warping.

It is my favorite Material.

I printed also Lamp holder for my KTM in PLA and after give them a thin surface of Clear coat they last also in Summer.

👍

I’m building a lowered 300 series wheelhorse. So far it’s a combination of 3 scrap tractors.
the frame, trans and tins are from a GT2500 anniversary special given to me by a neighbor with a trashed Briggs. The Kohler M12 is from a junkyard 312 that was roached. The parts tractor I’m using for the build was another older 312. I’ve got the k301 in the garage. The trans was toast. Both axles wallowed out keyways and 1 axle actually broken.
Anyway! I needed a project and a toy to putt around the neighborhood. I couldn’t find any other posts on how to do the whole thing. I’m trying to keep it cheap using stuff I have on hand and looking as “stock but cooler” as possible. So here we go.
I’ll update this as I go along.
