I think i may have found a solution to my color issue..found a site that had various brands cataloged by hexadecimal color codes!

 

Enzo Red maybe? Like a Ferrari!

Do you get a certain amount of color distortion from stock to finished product? Or is there no difference :confusion-scratchheadyellow:

Practically no difference, the finish can vary flat to shiny depending on temp etc.

Might try a round 0 or round 1 i find that works best,and found this set at Michaels today with some rounds,flats,and liners at a good size.

I know the feeling!   I also find myself switching between colors. Ill do one color and there's always something I got a little of that color on that I didn't want to, so after 30 min or so I go back with a different color and fix those mistakes, then I switch to another color etc. etc. I do this about three times just looking for any mistakes, spots where a bristle got outta hand or my hand just missed the mark, still NOT perfect but after about 3x i call it good.

Know what you mean... and what looks terrible in a close up photo often looks FINE on the machine!

 

My wife's words keep echoing in my head, maybe she's right?  " Honey, it's JUST A LAWNMOWER! "  ;)  Little does she know what that 'lawnmower' really is!

And @ebinmaine Paint Dept gets a spot on the store wall! And she's still not satisfied with that much perfection, so well update that photo as she updates the Goyles!

I didnt expect it so soon but here she had added a couple different washes to give em some definition! A dark wash to accentuate lines and folds, and a grey wash on the base boulder.

left to right

Bright signal red(like the keychains a few of you have received)

Another orangy scarlet very close to the first

Unfortunately ive sold or otherwise disposed of most stuff, but i think i can dig through and label each pic i have. Gettin ready to run an enzo red keyfob.

      I’m building a lowered 300 series wheelhorse. So far it’s a combination of 3 scrap tractors. 
      the frame, trans and tins are from a GT2500 anniversary special given to me by a neighbor with a trashed Briggs. The Kohler M12 is from a junkyard 312 that was roached. The parts tractor I’m using for the build was another older 312. I’ve got the k301 in the garage. The trans was toast. Both axles wallowed out keyways and 1 axle actually broken. 
      Anyway! I needed a project and a toy to putt around the neighborhood. I couldn’t find any other posts on how to do the whole thing. I’m trying to keep it cheap using stuff I have on hand and looking as “stock but cooler” as possible. So here we go. 
      I’ll update this as I go along.
