Posting Problems

As of yesterday afternoon, I have been unable to post to most of the threads on Red Square.    This includes the Whatizit Do Over thread I started yesterday morning and Steve's 2019 Big Show Buy,Sell thread and Herders and Tractorheads posts about posting problems.

Karl is aware of the problem and has been working on a fix.

I have been posting  a TEST on some post in an effort to determine why this is happening on some threads and not others.

Eric, @ebinmaine  I get notifications that you have responded, but I can not post a response on the Whatizit thread.       Please post this on the thread for me so Cas, Dave and others know there is a problem posting.

Other members are having problems and Karl is working on a fix.

@nylyon Karl I got a notification while ON Redsquare that Ed had "mentioned" me here in this thread but did NOT get an email stating that new content had been posted.

Let me know what I can do to help.

You don't have email notifications set for mentions, if you wish to have an email sent when someone mentions you, you need to enable your preferences for that.

I didn't know that was a thing!!!

I'd have never found that...

I changed the settings there.

 

 

I'm on a medium screen smart phone 99% of the time so my web experience is a bit limited.

 

FYI... Although I didn't get an email when Ed posted... I DID when you posted.

You wouldn't have gotten an email when Ed posted unless you subscribe for forum notification.  When Ed posted, you hadn't subscribed to the thread, and you don't have email for @mentions enabled.

I had email notifications enabled for "following" Non tractor related discussion as a whole.

I've been getting an email for every new thread posted to that section, along with several others.

 

I was notified when Ed STARTED the thread but not when he posted the second time which is what included the " mention" and that's okay. I shouldn't have seen that one.

 

I do now have the "mention" notification as email.

I didn't realize that I hadn't posted to the thread yet so I couldn't have been notified because I wasn't following it then.

But tortured us with the preoccupation of contemplation.

I guess I better shout out to Cas @formariz and Dave @Mows4three  also.   If I can't resolve the problem posting to the Whatizit Do Over thread, I'll start a new thread with more clues and eventually the answer.

WAGON... Is what she's been thinking right from the get-go.

The chain that hooks to the wagon.

I've known these as Trace chains but found defined  yesterday as heel chains.

 

Definitely looking forward to seeing the exact placement of your particular chain.
