Got the 2 stage hooked up on the C160. I tried to put it on the C195 but the frame is to long. This C160 had this setup on it last winter by the previous owner. Mounted the D series plow blade on the C195 along with a wieght box. Loader has chains on it just incase I need to move snow banks.

If you believe the forecasters in the northeast you’d think we are in for another ice age, at one point I’d heard over 2’ of snow. Now claiming 4”-8”. Either way I haven’t plowed once this season. Very late for no snow around here. Just put the blade on yesterday. Changed the oil and hung the suitcase weights out back. I can’t wait to try my new tru-power ags I the snow. I had deestones on last year and it pushed fine without chains, I think these will grip even better.

We have something coming tonight..snow, then some freezing rain into Sunday morning. Fired up my plow machine today and buzzed around the yard a few times to be sure it’s ready for tomorrow’s event! All was good!

I am sure there are ways to come up with an electric lift...but for snow plowing a hydro is the way to go. Once you try one you will never go back to a gear drive for snowplowing. The high speed reverse and quick directional change plus the fast blade lifting make it a whole bunch better.

The first time my wife saw snow (she was born and raised in Miami FL) she told her sister that we had a foot of snow because it was deep enough to cover her foot!

I'm ready here in North East Ohio as well I just added a little weight to both sides of the c141 with some scraps I had laying around. I left the bolts a little long in case I have to add a little more. Got about 2 in on the drive now

Hmmmm. You involved the Binford name. This must be something really profound. This can't be gasoline powered. I'd say diesel, but you're just too danged excited about it. Electric would be a pain because of the umbilical cord. Solar is just fraught full of inconveniences. Water power is plain silly. I got it. But I won't tell anyone. This is just between me and you. Was sitting around the shop this morning bored with nothing to do, when the phone rang for a tow. If any of you know anything about the towing industry, you know that there is never a routine call and every job is a new experience. Today's job was to haul this old wrecker from where it has been parked since 1984 out to the owner's farm north of town. Kinda broke mine and a lot of the people in towns hearts to see it leave, while some may consider it an eyesore, most of us saw it as a landmark in town. It belonged to a guy here that had a salvage yard and also did a lot of junk metal art, and had a lot of it displayed at the yard where this truck was sitting. But the city had other ideas and told the owner he had to move it or bring the tags up to date on it. That dinosaur and this truck were two of the major landmarks the locals would give people not familiar with the area looking for the intersection of SH15 and SH46

Most electric lifts are painfully slow compared to a hydro. I have a linear actuator on my sweepster and it makes Heinz Ketchup look fast.

That 141 frame is as big as the 520 with the exception of the one inch spindles. Easy upgrade...

Just about ALL 12" garden tractor rear wheels are the same bolt pattern....you just have to be aware of the different "set back" spacing on wheels you want to use.

Cleaned up SOME mess, did a couple automotive jobs, Frank is back in his home from the back unheated barn. Me thinks some belt guard work should take place... there’s a little gap that needs mendin’.

Rule of my garage. Check,recheck and check again. Drive around the yard a few times. Storm hits. You get a flat, some bolt comes off on the plow, piece of dirt gets into the fuel system or a belt shreds.

Mine are ready to go. I will have to get some pictures when I finally get out of work tomorrow.

Me and the Custom 702 got about 2 hours of seat time earlier today and probably gonna get round 2 of seat time in about another hour or so!!! Love some seat time, best therapy out there in my book.

Honestly if they're holding air and don't go flat I would still use them! To me that's worth it's weight in gold !

Running at 1800RPMs tells me that the generator is a 4 pole gen.1800 RPMs would = a frequency of 60Hz from a 4 pole gen, this is the frequency used for electricity in the US. Europe prefers to run at a frequency of 50Hz which would again change the engine speed. If the generator was a 2 pole then the engine speed would have been set to 3600RPMs to achieve 60Hz. Nuff schooling. Issue that you will most likely have- 1 The PTO end of the engine will most likely have a tapered shaft instead of a strait keyed shaft. 2 No thrust bearing for a mechanical PTO clutch. 3 Governor setting 1 Taper to keyed shaft adapters can be purchased, about $60on Ebay 2 Switch to electric PTO clutch. 3 Figure out your gov settings .

More preping and painting

Son got the 520 Wheel-a-Matic with the snowblower out and ready along with the Kubota BX2230 w/FEL and back blade . First time one of the Horses has been touched since last March. Don’t have a current pic but here’s one while it was patiently waiting. Will get some current pics tomorrow. Maybe some action shots or video depending how accurate the weatherman is .

I prefer to guess the amount. That way when I exaggerate a bit i don't feel like I'm stretching the truth. At least I don't know if I am. LOL

The front trailer hitch is bolted to the frame and that has to come off if I'm going to take off the front mule drive. It's the one downside to the hitch. But since I'm moving trailers and a boat all the time I've just left the mule in place.

I'm in the Finger Lakes region of NY and they're calling for 12-20" of snow for us. I wouldn't mind some seat time, but we don't need 20" of snow. With single degree temperatures and high winds.

City/county government is one of the most toxic levels of government... I’d find somewhere else highly visible to park it and then tell em that if they want to check the tags they can do so at the risk of trespassing. Then you put this up:

Glad you enjoyed it. You know sometimes I get irritated at work being the only operator we've got. The boss and his son are both licensed tow ops as well, but they maybe have 2 yrs experience between the two of them, so I end up with 99% of the towing work. But then I get sent on jobs like this and it makes it worthwhile, it was almost like an honor to get the job of moving Jim's old truck out to the farm, that old wrecker was his pride and joy years ago. I have had numerous phone calls and Facebook messages from some of the locals this evening sharing stories of Jim coming to their rescue in that old truck, or how when they were younger they would go riding along with him to a tow. Maybe I'm crazy and jumping out of the frying pan into the fire, but I'm gonna keep working on Troy and try to get him to sell me the old truck, it just breaks my heart to see it sit out there in the pasture and rot away. It would take A LOT of work, but I would like to get it and fix it back to its former glory and drive it in parades and such,

Always, always always BACK UP A RAMP. @rmaynard can tell you why! The fuel pump should be checked out too. The pump is higher than the tank and if the check valves are leaking by it can be hard for it to pull a good prime. Nice buy!
