Saw this listed the other day on Craigslist by a fellow member on here and knew I had to have it...He listed this one as well as another I picked up for a friend of mine. Hands down a good guy to do business with and a great stout machine, can’t wait to put it to work!!!!

We had lots of fun. I loved watching the girl throwing food to the "fishies" and she giggled a time or two, as well. I loved watching this girl interact with these fishies.

I picked this little gem up from @Terry M a little over 3 years ago knowing it would be for my kids when they were ready. After reading @dclarke's post about his grandkids ranger i thought this project needed to hit the table again and finish it up. I used full floorboards from an Electro 12 and to make it fit i used a fender pan from an 856 donor to cover the wheels so no little limbs could be run over or caught. I also raised the fender pan 1 inch to make it all fit and cut out the pan a little for shifter clearance When i got this tractor it didnt have an engine, so i put in a kohler k141 industrial motor, i didnt want a blue engine so i wire wheeled all the paint off and cleared the tins, fabricated a new gas tank support. Im pretty happy how it turned out and it drives great. Here is my son age 3 pulling me in my double tub wagon, it was a fun afternoon.

Bottled drinking water, fuel for the generator, oil for the generator, canned groceries. Check the chainsaw. Check the generator. Too late to grab a window shaker AC unit if you don't have one. Capture rain water in wheelbarrows and five gallon buckets or store water in a bathtub to pour in the toilet tank if you are on well water. A bottle of bleach at a few drops per gallon of collected water is good for non-potable water. Everything else is optional. Last year without power for 9 days, I found out I can take a bath in 3 red Dixie cups of collected rain water and 5 paper towels. Good luck and be safe! Edit add: Flashlights... I have a collection. I had a Harbor Freight free flashlight in my hand or in my mouth during the nights. Both hands free and focused lighting is a good thing.

So I have been looking for a few months to purchae a clean Kubota B series. Timing was not right one or two others. I found this one about 3.5 hours from me in cl for VT. 1995 Kubota B20 worh loader and backhoe. I also purchased a 2011 PJ trailer 8’x18’ dual axle with very little use. This was previously owned by an 86 year old man who purchased it only a few years old. He passed and the family out it up for sale. my boy Brennan and I drove up to VT last night and found a motel room. Woke up and met seller, loaded it up and got home mid afternoon. Spent a bunch of time cleaning both.

Make sure the regulator is well grounded. A regulator that has a bad ground can produce over 20 VDC when the grounds connection is broken.

Just the nature of the Eaton 1100s. I have them in 312s,417s, and a 520 and they all act differently. Like Jeff said, the manual states they should all be warmed up before use. Some of mine require a 5-10 minute warm up before the lift will work and some lift immediately. I chained them all to a tree and they are all strong enough to dig holes.

No the SG reg will work just fine . I believe Richard @953 nut has a nifty wiring diagram for doing that conversion. My 1067 had this done by a PO years ago so I just left it as is when I restoed her and it works good. BTW those original 70 amp switches are still available and fairly cheap if you want to stay original. Some pics of my conversion. Custom made battery cables courtesy of @Achto

All good advice above. I'll just add, If you get tired shaking a tank full of gravel and solvent, block your spare tractor then jack up one rear wheel and bungee the tank to the wheel. Let your tumbler do the work while you watch a football game.

On thing you can try with the engine not running. Check the voltage across the battery lugs. Not the cables on the lugs. Now move the red test lead to the DC+ terminal on the regulator. Should get the same reading. If the voltage is different the wiring the charge current uses to get to the battery is compromised. Garry

Trina spent some time this afternoon more of the disassembly on the donor chassis. I'm going to end up using the frame and transmission from this. She took apart the front suspension so we could clean it up and paint it.

The tractor I use for ploughing, my C-121 aka Black Horse, has an electric lift for the rear hitch. Unfortunately it is either up or down, so no control over depth of plough. So a depth/land wheel has been on the cards for a while. Yesterday had a scrat round the workshop and came up with some box section, wheel off a walk behind mower and some threaded bar. Wheel attached to box section. There is actually two lengths of box section. One a good fit inside the other. Makes things a bit stronger. Also left over length. The arm needs a pivot point. So more box section, the piece of threaded bar and a couple of nuts. The nuts were turned down to fit inside the box section, cut to set the wheel approx' 7" out and using the threaded bar to locate them. Then nuts and bar held in place with split dowels. Ignore the two nuts showing on the box section. They are attached to it and will be removed. The assembly was the fitted into the plough. Not welded in yet but it's a tight fit. That will be done when I'm happy with things. After a bit of moving the arm and wheel back and forth, and up and down, I settled on the pivot point. Couple of washers and locking nuts, and bar cut down. End of bar to tidy up later. Zero depth. 7" depth. I'll not be ploughing any deeper or not ever. Next thing is to work out and make an adjuster mechanism. I've a rough idea but need to obtain some bits.

WVHillbilly520H, your correct, mine is a 93 and I went to garage to check, sure enough they're 10.50.

@Terry M it is loosely based on the techy tank support i made it mount to the starter holes and one head bolt stud. No special science here just took a couple hours trying to fabricate something clean and functional.

Did I mention you need "replacement" coverage? Lol

    # update First of all... Thanks to everyone for the well wishes! Structure settlement went easy. Holy crap, the contents loss not easy! Lol... it's a back and forth battle with the insurance company. *Note to everyone* Get "replacement" coverage on your contents on homeowners policy. That is one thing that's made this easier.

My Eaton on the 418A was painfully slow waiting for the lift to work. Changed to Synthetic Mobil 1 10w-30 no material improvement. She was taken off winter snow blowing duty because it took so long to pick up the snowblower to move her outside to warm up and not fill the shop with exhaust fumes. Has plenty of power and is a bit faster in the summer to pick up the mower deck but i can drive outside deck down so it isn't an issue. Use Sunstrands for winter plowing and blowing...Lift works immediately year round....

Many 520s do this and one of mine is no exception. Winter is worse and the colder the worser. My go to snow mover. Sometimes takes a good minute and a half when you can hear the charge pump kick in and begins to whine. No problems during the summer. I switched to Mobile 1 10w-30 syn & NAPA filter and it helped. Next change I'm going to try 5w and see if it makes a difference. This tractor has a peculiar whine to the hydro where my others 1100s don't. No loss of tire spinning power tho. Agreed Jeff ....you wouldn't think so but it seems like they are individual units with a mind of their own. All three of mine act different even tho same oil/filter and linkage setups. I believe it has something to do with how they were treated in a past life or broke in.

Some of the Eaton 1100 are slower than others, but the operator's manual suggests that "the tractor be started up and transaxle allowed to warm up before using" some others on here have swapped over to synthetic 10w30 or even HyTran fluid vs standard dino oils, also I'm a firm believer in the O.E. Toro filters but Napa/Wix is top of most other hydro owners' list, also be sure that you have the correct level of oil in the transaxle, if you have recently drained and refilled and didn't "burp" it while refilling it could be low only check level when COLD before starting, I like to start tractor during refilling and run the lift ram through several cycles to help burp it, if I have missed anything I'm sure others will chime in...oh if you haven't already hitch it up to a tree or something solid after you get it warmed up to see if you can get the tires to break traction, if so the pump IS NOT weak, Jeff.

By the way Dan @Achto that Gen light on at the last show was due to a loose connection on the back SG post. Star washers weren't enough to keep it tight.

Let me start with the obvious question, you have removed the snap ring, right? After removing the snap ring you should use a file to take all the rust and accumulated stuff off the shaft. I have found a pair of pickle forks works well to remove the brake drum.

Years ago when restoring my 1961 model 701 I had the same problem with the pin stuck in the steering wheel and shaft. Using a 100 ton shop press it took 7 tons of pressure before the pin broke and the shaft was pushed through the steering wheel. There was no damage to the shaft or steering wheel I just had to replace the pin. Don't give up looking for a RJ-58 steering wheel as somebody must have one for sale being they are quite common. Usually a lot of times when I buy a machine or see a machine I want, I call right away plan time and day to get it. No messaging or bs back and forth. 9 times outta 10 I know what I’m getting before I get there. Definitely not a afraid to travel either. Sometimes I’ll even offer more if I know it’s that good of a deal like the 160 was. Overall the 160 isn’t a bad machine, good running 16. But as seller stated the hydro controls needed attention which they do. And AMC rules that song sure fits this thread

My honey took a few minutes today to clean up the wheels that were on the farm tractor hand-built custom project. I had taken those off to swap the ags on to it so I could roll it around. I used my HF manual tire changer to remove the junk tires and then she cleaned them all up and sprayed the two outsides Navajo white. These will have a set of 23 x 10.5 turfs with chains and be mounted on to the 1267.

The pit is built with two galvanized steel joining rings for culvert drainage pipe. The smaller ring is 36 inches in diameter. The larger ring is 48 inches. I’m going to fill the void between them with old brick and gravel (topped off with gravel). The outside of the pit will always stay “cool”. The floor of the pit is two sheets of galvanized ducting steel riveted together and cut round. Will look like this when done ...
