Ed and Ryan for the Cool photos! Looks like you guys had some fun as well today. The food at your house Ed looks amazing!!! The remainder of my day was spent eating, relaxing, and talking with the friends and family members that I don’t get to see as often. Mike, Paul, and I—the three amigos (who grew up more like brothers than cousins!) About 7pm, loaded up and headed home. Caleb had been begging me to get some fireworks that we could shoot off at home. I relented the other day and bought some basic stuff. We had a very good time at around 9:30 setting those off and enjoying the light show. It was a very fun Independence Day here in Omro...thanks for taking the journey with me and my family.

So i picked up this 1054 over a year ago. Finally decided to get busy on it. Pulled the hubs off, i knew it had a bad wheel bearing. Plan was to put an 8 pinion differential in it. Found part of the spider gear differential broken. Got it pretty much cleaned up, 8 pinion cleaned and waiting. Next up cut the snap ring grooves into the axles.

Had a great time at the parade showing off a Big Horse and a little horse to about 5-10,000 people or more. It was awesome to share this experience with my kids. I’m so thankful to live in a country where we have the freedom to enjoy events like this!

Hopefully by @WHX20, or by that time WHX25's meet and greet. It's a Corvair steering wheel looks cool probably gonna stay.

Why not go for both? Besides... how do you think @WHX20 Jim got to #20 and counting? By watching the next one get snatched up by someone else?

For some reason, I thought this show was this weekend. Glad you posted @Shynon to get me straight on it. Unfortunately it lands right on top of the Iola Car Show which has been a family tradition for about 27 years for Dad and I. We only attend that one day and so, depending on work, I may be able to go Friday to one and Saturday to the other. Garden tractor Daze is an awesome GT event for sure. It is so cool to have a show dedicated to the mini tractors instead of piggybacked on to a full sized tractor show. I could see this one continuing to grow as more and more people hear about and experience it. So many rare machines and lots of the popular brands. Plus it is an excuse to get together with the tractor buddies and hang out!

The biggest problem with the "Nut Roasters" was that they were too lite in the front. I think you have solved that problem!

No sneak photos yet but it will be a round hood with a 52 CI engine. That's all I'm saying for now. Let your imaginations wonder lol

@gwest_ca , @953 nut , here are are some pics with measurements to get Garry pointed in right direction. As side note, the awefuld prior owner repairs I cut out seemed to be done for a failure mechanism that did not occur. The real issue is that the thin metal for the half inch clutch rod the run through had given way. Anyway, here are some measurement pics as requested.

@gwest_ca @Aldon I have a 551 frame. If you just want the trans mount I can cut it off for easier shipping. No Charge! Had a 551 tractor slip off the winch hooks while lowering it down from the shed loft. Of coarse there was a guy on his way to buy it so had to do some quick piecing together so the guy could pick up a tractor. Anyway, still have the frame if you're interested, lift handle too

They worked great and were useful all at the same time, funny how work can be fun when a tractor and attachment is involved

Yeah, we finally got to it today out of all the other times we could have done it I wonder why, @PeacemakerJack any ideas?

New front shoes on my C165. I like the looks of the 18x8.50-8 turf tires much better than the 16x6.50-8 ags. She looks more like the C195 I had before.

Love that decal—so classic! We were having so much fun that we decided to level out a spot in the lawn that had been driving “momma” mad for about 8 years... We plowed it with the CC100 and the Brinly 10” then took the digger and broke up the clods... Then it was time to use the TroyBuilt Bronco rototiller...next up—more leveling then Comanche with the old David Bradley drag It’s fun when you get to work with your toys and boys!

Caleb got to use his new “digger” set from @AMC RULES today on GhostRider to dig up the old strawberry bed... He was having some fun with it no doubt! It was pretty weedy to begin with but he did a good job of working it down. Doesn’t look quite as cool on the beast as it does on the little 854 but it works awesome! Caleb looks like a man on a mission but make no mistake—he is enjoying it!

I have a longstanding belief that the quickest way to find the lowest gas price in any given location is to fill your tank; without question the next station you pass will have a lower price! Same thing seems to work for .

When ever I take a tranny apart I always cut new full length key ways into the axles. It allows you to use a longer key that covers more surface area (more is better). Along with this I also drill & tap the hub for a second set screw. A pic of the ones that I did last winter for my Raider 12. Some thing else that I tried on this build was saving my old hubs by cutting a new key way 90 degrees to the old one. So far it has held up great. Been pulling a mold board plow with this tractor every chance that I get.

I'll be setting up Wednesday and back Thursday with second load of tractors. Will save room on row for everyone. Best not forget Tom's K91! Bring auto's for chain piling! Yes Lowell let us know If you are coming I need a long threaded knurled hood knob. I would guess @joebob is going to be there and I thought Jason @CasualObserver said he was coming? From the calendar

No I wasn’t but things happen AND I have started back on the house. I have to get it back to a roller though so it’s easier to move 😁

Finally found your Skittles build... what an amazing transformation from what I saw at the show! Warning... your notifications will have a lot of likes coming soon...

Richie wasn’t gonna have any more tractor projects until after the move... and I was only hauling Putt Putt home from the show. Karen is a sweet lady, she deserves your loving attention in house and tractor projects equally!

My cosmetically challenged 418-C runs great and is a great worker, but it needed some help in the looks department. I pulled the sheet metal and did a quick paint job and added a set of @Vinylguy patriotic decals, love it. Found some RED skateboard grip strip for the running boards.

It will be even easier to move if the engine is running and the steering is functional!

Yep, I'll be there. Heading over first thing Friday morning though. If all goes well I'll expect to be there about 8-9. Pretty sure the rest of the family is heading over with loads on Wed and Thurs. Be sure to bring some buying money too!..... Andrew the owner of Kitson Auctioneering is doing an auction again. His 15% commission is donated to the benefit of the Portage World War II muesum. so if you want to consign anything for sale, track him down when you get there. The auction is scheduled to be Saturday at NOON. @tractorchick and/or family is usually there too with the Lawn and Garden Tractor magazine booth.

Happy 4th of July folks, after all the day’s festivities, I got some garage time. Brought a picture of the 857 engine wiring diagram out to the shop and double checked the way it was wired up when I tore it down, tossed a splash of gas in the tank and to my surprise it actually fired up! Good inspiration to finish up putting it back together and have another runner for the kids. Jada isn’t very fond of loud noise, so with that monster muffler I’ll probably find her riding it the most.

I celebrated the 4th of July by applying a set of Terry's patriotic decals to my 418-C.

Downtown Omro riding on a Case 930 picking up pizza! Eating pizza in the staging area—our annual tradition! Note Cousin Paul in the green (this is his first 4th home in better than a decade—he was stationed across the world with the US Navy most years). It is an honor to call him my cousin and a blessing from God to have him home safely with us to celebrate Independence Day! Zach loving the pizza and the freshly painted trailer! I mean no offense to my many buddies all across the country but unfortunately there are very few parades left that have tractors like here in the Midwest. Choose your favorite color of AG tractor and it is probably here! The corvette club is getting ready to line up... More to come...
