This forum is great! Sparky went out of his way to bring this tractor to Caleb for his birthday. We changed the battery, put in some freash fuel, wipes it down, and it started right up. It needs a good soap and water cleaning, and a little polishing and this tractor is ready to enjoy as is! Caleb was ready to start making “Comanche”, as he has named him, look great. Comanche was the name of General Custers horse that was the lone survivor of the battle. Since this tractor is an original survivor, Caleb felt it was a fitting name! It was fun for Caleb to take it in His first GT parade! Thanks to all who made this happen

These Wisconsin boys can get the job done in a hurry! I picked up a roller for the transmission and tires, gave the rest to Jim and @Achto, @WHX20 and @PeacemakerJack had it stripped down and in a cart in a matter of minutes, what a crew.

It all started when I went to one of @WHX20's plow days and took one of his round hoods out for a spin,and thats when I was hooked.Then when we saw that 854 for sale I really wanted to have it Then dad said it was in NJ my heart sank to my feetbut dad said he'd look into shiping it and getting the money for it.So that gave me some hope of getting it Well then @WHX20 offered to ttake us to the BS in PA since his wife didn't want to go this year and @ACHTO didn't want to go at first.Since April we had wanted someone to take that 854 to the show two days before we left for the show @Sparky decided to take it to the show for me.Saved us time and money,thank you @Sparky!!!! He delivered it and it was great we only had to do a little clean up on the outside with gas,put a little bit of oil and gas in it and put a new battery in it and it started right up

...when it comes to the big show? You gotta pace yourself. If today was any indicator... there's gonna be some stiff competition for them bus stop benches tomorrow.

I picked up these 2 barn fresh 1960 suburbans. I will be able to make one good solid runner and have some extra parts. The one with the patina will be the one I fix. Serial number 38718

Picked up a not so secret birthday present in New Jersey. Now for eggs pancakes and sausage and then back on the road!

Little bit more painting tonight. Yes people, that's my honey painting with a headlamp because it's after Dark. Dedicated? A bit off center? Well, she does hang around with me. On purpose.

Well just you wait @JPWH it'll transform from a nice tractor to a clean tractor soon

Guess I'm going to have to sleep with one eye open when we meet up with @Achto, @WHX20 and @PeacemakerJack at Portage Wisconsin show.

That made it really great getting to meet everyone. A lot of us wouldn’t have crossed pathes if not for those. I know I walked by a lot of people that I wondered if they were on here or not. Thanks again @Vinylguy Terry for all tou have done. I know it made my trip worth it. 👍

We had a ton of fun trading the cards today... Do I have your card? Who are you again? Don’t I already have your card? “The Royal lady of the deck” Jim trading for three people and so he really had his hands full!!! This was a great idea Terry. Thanks for adding another cool dimension to the BS 2018!

We made it to the Big Show and have had a blast so far. I have met so many people in two days. Wanted to take in all I could. I see now why it’s more than just the tractor that draws so many here. Beautiful scenery, lots of Wheelhorses and good food and fellowship. Skittles ran great all weekend except for water shorting out a relay and my lights coming on by themselves. Have to invest in some dielectric grease. Don’t know when I will make it back but I will be back. Hopefully with more money and trailer space. 😁

So happy for you! I really like my 854, that's one tractor I'll keep to the bitter end.

Terry, the trading card program you came up with is outstanding. I think we will all agree that these cards have helped us spend more time getting to know each other and will be a lasting memory of the 2018 Big Show. @Vinylguy is the best!

What a great day at the Big Show! @Coulter Caleb said @AMC RULES and I had to get our Red Square Limited Edition Trading cards and get trading immediately! He’s winning with the most cards traded so far! And we’re wishing him a Happy Birthday today too! Thank you @PeacemakerJack - it was great to meet you and talk with you at the Big Show!

We're coming to get you! We used to be in a pit crew but got tossed for drinking and swearing too much not to mention our farts smelt like limburger cheese!

Just got back home after leaving the Big Show around 2:30 was literally stuck on I-81 for 1.5 hours at the last exit for Martinsburg WV, was good meeting fellas in person today, Jeff.

I pay too much on stuff at flea markets with this rig.

Finally! Still have 2 1/2 hours to go but at least we are in the correct state .

Just pulled into Chambersburg for some breakfast, pretty much uneventful except a little rain following me to my first Big Show won't be long I'll be there, Jeff.

I have exchanged about half of my cards and have gotten to put a bunch of faces with names that I’ve known via the forum. This was a great idea and the cards are too notch quality. Thanks for coming up with such a cool idea. I felt like I was back in sixth grade again running around and trading with the guys!

Had a great day today with Caleb, Jim, Dan, and many new face to face acquaintances. It was great to meet so many of my friends in person that I have “known” via the forum for several years now. Caleb got the opportunity to drive Skittles for awhile today—thanks Richie, he really enjoyed it. Caleb also helped Stevebo on cleaning up a pair of old fenders. Finally Caleb has some seat time balancing the teeter totter! Lots of fun stuff at the BS today. Can’t wait for tomorrow

Well Sparky, my honey and I have talked it over and we think this Saturday might be pushing it just a tiny bit. A little. But in all seriousness, we are actually aiming to get this tractor ready for July 21st for the Owls Head transportation truck and tractor show. Barring unforeseen circumstances and stupidity we should be able to do that. Tonight's performance is a repeat of the past several nights. Clean. Wire brush. Prime. Paint. You know. Super extreme exciting stuff like that.
