4 points... well, what's left of one. Someone painted over the serial decal, but I flaked off the paint and I believe it is 9337. It has a ton of issues - especially the transmission. Here's how it looked when I got it Thursday. This morning I removed all the homemade add-ons then degreased and power washed.

4 pointsPut a Jim Kemp stack on my newly acquired '73 16 Automatic. Got a nice mellow sound to it. And you can actually carry on a conversation while it's running a not have to shout to be heard.

4 pointsTime for the unveiling of a 1973 16hp Automatic Got a great sounding stack from Jim Kemp, even revved up it's a tolerable sound without ear protection. The PO gave me a lot of extras A complete decal set Headlight bucket and lens Standard piston, head gasket, condenser, points, axle seal Had the hydraulic lift rebuilt by Wheelhorseman The tractor manual and parts list. He wasn't really a Wheel Horse guy so he kinda lost interest in it. The 16hp runs good with no smoke or noises. It's got a new carb and all new filters and oils. Transmission works good and will spin the tires in both directions. Some freshing up by some new paint and those decals, it's going to make a real nice worker.

4 pointssince there is a lot of trading going on in here and I have gotten in on someof it, here’s one for you. Kohler KT17(yes, series 1), ran when I took it off the horse it was in. Only thing I want to keep is the coil & PTO clutch since I have another and want it as a spare. Since I can’t run it for you, here is the deal. Size 2XL WHCC show shirt. Thats it and it’s yours. I don’t need it and don’t want to have to move it when we relocate next year(hopefully). Traded to 953nut. Thanks Richard 👍

4 pointsYou're darn right Richie. I told Nancy that it was going back to Florida and she corrected me by saying it's never been in Florida.

4 pointsI’ve come to a point where my ideas, abilities, resources and working environment have met up with reality. So after a couple painted parts got bumped, fell over and got scratched, I said the heck with it. Back together she goes. I have Chip Foose dreams and a bum’s budget. So she will have patina, primer and paint. It will be put back together, hopefully running and moving without incident. This will be her shakedown run and I will hopefully have time to fix anything that comes up. That’s where I’m at today. Carry on

3 pointsWhen you loose enough of them, and then go look'n for that one you now need, you'll find enough others to build another custom and get inspired! BUT you need to get finished the project which needed the part you were searching for in the first place which is now the only part you CAN"T find. It's quite a conundrum.

3 pointsWhere we plan to move I have a bunch of woods on a sloping bank that runs along a canal that will be at the back of the property. Hope to do something similar with a trail to walk/ cruise on. Lot of clearing to do but will be fun to work on with the right equipment.
-
3 pointsI know you did. But I have to play along with the picture requirements.

3 pointsBuilt one once with thoughts of parking it in the living room for a easy chair. First thing off left a water mark on the hood from a adult beverage. Then let the grandkids climb on it. Said to heck with it and hooked up a plow and stuck it in the dirt.Heck we all know a guy who built a trailer queen once for the sole purpose of sticking it in the dirt! Soldier on Ritchie and don't sweat the scratches & boogered up fasteners..... adds character. You can always name the paint runs and point out your favorites. I covered up a few of mine with Lowell's magnetic business cards!

3 pointsGood Morning all, Cant wait till big show... my son and I are in after missing several years (3???). On way home yesterday I get a text about a rusty tractor on side of road from a friend. No details of course, so I hooked up trailer and took dog for a ride. Isnt she beautiful! Briggs power and all! Lots of love needed but it didnt go to scrapper.... Tony

3 pointsExactly why there are no trailer queens here. Too much babysitting and tip-toeing around it not to scratch the paint. Plus I suck at painting because of having no patience to sit and watch the paint dry. I'm still in the denial stage where everything seems possible and could probably use a big slap from reality. But dream'n is part of the fun too I guess. So many ideas, so little time = so many partially started projects.

2 points@squonk Have you forgotten the lunch for hauling the big 16 hp Kohler ? @953 nut Are you driving a 18 wheeler to the show ? You are going to have to build a new barn for all the pieces and parts you are collecting.

2 pointsWell, I did some further research. I post my result here so perhaps I help someone else with it. Apparently the clutch in the 211-5 (and other types also) is a 'friction cone clutch'. See image below. The part I am looking for is the friction material (nr. 3) that I can wrap around the male part of the cone clutch... The search continues..... EDIT: Apparantly in the past friction materials (for clutches for example) where manufactured with asbestos.. Don't panic... I am still alive...

2 pointsI like the looks of that with just a motor, steering wheel, seat and a Rat Fink Shifter!

2 pointsLots of good trading going on in here. I drove down the road and acquired a set of wheels. I'll be buying an extra lunch at the show!

2 pointsTHAT is a cool pic Eric! Nice to see that little horse working hard. I’m hoping to get to some yard work today and tomorrow with Kelli and the kids. Will definitely involve the horses and probably some off topic GT’s (). You guys have a beautiful spot out there and the improvements are making it even sweeter

2 pointsI painted 18 wheels today with rustoleum red primer. Original plan was to power a MTD differential with a drill and spin the wheel, but it was much easier to spin it by hand. I made 'special" mounts for the wheels that let me flip the wheel over and just paint the entire thing at one go . Got some good piccs of the process. Finish coat will be Rustoleum Canvas White. A perfect match to my original paint that is lighter than almond .[As far as I can tell, that is]

2 pointsI like my 1974 C160 hydro over all the tractors I have. It will push or pull anything I ask it to. But if my 314-8 had electric lift it would be my second favorite. But I still prefer hydro. As far as durability 44 years is pretty darn durable by any body's standards. It's all about maintenance, maintenance, maintenance.
-
2 pointsI have also heard an unsubstantiated rumor that those little clamps can prevent a hose from leaking at a fitting. Don't know if it is true, just something I heard.
-
2 points@WHX17 I bought new razors. I’ll shave the nubbies off the tires. Had road rash before so the “pull the sled down the road” thing is out of the question. In the words of Boy George, “ Do you really want to hurt me?” Shoot, all the paint might blow off it on the way up.

2 pointsI had a HF lift. Mounted a oak door on it to make it wider. Just took up too much room when not using it so I sold it. I have a hydraulic lift table that I can pick up a tractor if I take the belt guard and foot stirrups off. It's nice because If I need to stop working on a tractor I can roll it out of the way.

1 pointYou would never get it hot enough for solder with the lines full of oil, not to mention the fire hazard! Regular plumbers solder wouldn't hold up anyway. Need to pull the block, drain it and use silver solder (AKA Hard Solder).
-
1 pointI know Dick I just want to get there and see stuff in person and fond.....nevermind. ......... AMC is watching... It's like going to a gun show where you want to......nevermind tell you when I see you!

1 pointMission accomplished blade is actually better on the C-160 as far as up and down clearance of course hydraulic is easier but I will take it.
