The real dream would be... to wake up and discover a millennial interested in anything other than their smart phone.

**Update** 953 nut was right! I put the Raider in a heated shed and pulled rear end drain plug out for the night. Nothing dripped out. This morning there was a catch pan full of what looked like a melted milk shake. Filled with kerosene and diesel to flush out. I used an auger engine and v-belt to spin the rear end at an idle for an hour. Drained and repeated 4 times. Shifts like it's supposed to now! Kohler will be tackled this weekend ๐ŸŽ‰๐Ÿ˜€. Thank you for the advice

to add to Lanes advice, buy a few of those plastic shoulder washers and keep them in your spare parts bin. These are the first to wear. They do not cost much so combine them into another order if you are ordering other repair parts.

Some of you may remember this little tractor, I traded it to my old neighbor last year after the ice storm for a couple chainsaws. Anyway he is selling his house and didn't have a need for it anymore, so he called me up the other night wanting to know if I'd be interested in buying the tractor back from him. Went and picked it up last night, glad to have her back home. Going to mount my 25 gallon sprayer on the back and put her to work. On a side note I'm figuring out I should've bought a bigger shop, this one is filling up fast

Man, what a great idea! I usually set up some 4" x 4" timbers to raise the deck off the ground so I can work on it comfortably, but I have to physically lift the decks onto it, which is going to really hurt some day. I don't know why I never thought of using a hand cart. Thanks for the tip!

Saw that on CL...Unfortunately, it is in our great State... Perhaps a southern member from RS will sneak north of the border and free us Michiganders from the desecration... We could leave the gate open for you... I can not do it... I am on a strict one horse diet and besides...my eyes are still color blinded from the picture and I am unable to function...(even though it is - or was - one of my C-105's black hood cousins)...

They are HEAVY!!! Power washer and scraper like the above comments works well...I use my hand cart to tip them on the side and then lay down upside down to clean while they are still on the cart...Cart acts like a lever to make it east to move / flip the deck over... But, isn't this in the kids' / grandkids' job description? Offer "Free" rides AFTER "we" clean the deck, change the oil, , (fill in the blank with any other WH maintenance chore)...

As some of you are aware, a few weeks ago I picked up a couple of basket case 8hp Horses, a B80 and a 8hp 4 speed. Now that the 8hp 4 speed is running well, I figured it was time to look at the B80. I got it into my workshop and started the initial exam. Everything is covered in peeling red barn paint. All the control cables are rust frozen. The fuel line is dry rotted. The transmission is lubricated with ice. The wiring is...questionable. The engine is not seized. The metal is mostly straight, though there is some rust. Tonight I managed to do the initial exam, loosen up the throttle cable and governor linkage, remove the fuel tank, and remove a critter nest from behind the dash. So far I see nothing but...potential?

This will be a fairly slow build as Iโ€™m doing it weekends in between work/family time . I managed to pick up a free 10x6 shed from the garden next door as his passed away and his children wanted it gone . So Iโ€™ve taken it apart and now to repair and beautify it so the boss donโ€™t moan . If you guys have any suggestions on fixtures or fittings that may be useful inside please let me know . The base will be going in over the next two weekends . Here are a few pics of when I picked it up and after Iโ€™d given it a coat of treatment (last picture is the new colour).

I just got a new to me truck yesterday. I traded my 2004 Silverado on a 2014 Toyota Tundra and the payments are only $100 more including a 48 month bumper to bumper warranty! It was serviced regularly at the Toyota dealership and all recommended service was done since new. I am the second owner.

The deck stays on all year so I park my truck on the lawn, put ramps on the tailgate, drive up and park it near the top. tie it off so it won't come down then sharpen the blades, use the pressure washer to clean it and give it a shot of grease while up there so I don't have to bend over. @Tankman and I were posting the same thing at the same time.

Did it HAVE to be round? I mean could you have used a square one? A rectangular one? I have no idea why that struck me funny. Of course I'm only 5......

I tried the weaved kitchen drawer liners they do work but do seem to catch the dirt as well, the HF General boxes I got a couple years back came with drawer liners, but at work they use 1/4 and 1/2" foam and lay the tools on the 1/2" trace them then cut out to have each tool it's own specific spot when done the 1/4" is a base layer and the 1/2" shows what tools may be missing, Jeff.

@elcamino/wheelhorse, just 2" semi funtional. Got the air cleaner high enough to be up inside the cowl. Not sealed off though. Need to do this stuff tastefully in my opinion, but I'm super old school as you can tell

As much as I do enjoy a milk shake that's not the proper time and place for one. Nice job with the multi-rinse.

I have 2 or 3 275 gal oil tanks that I intend to use. One for a sandblaster, another for a molasses rust removal tank and if I'm careful for an electrolysis tank. But, BIG tanks take LOTS of liquids. Not so bad on the electrolysis side but more so on the molasses side. Or other chelating chemicals A wooden frame and some heavy poly (with some protection!) might better suit your needs if your barrel is not big enough.

Well, it didn't go as I hoped today. Here are what things sold for. Suburban with Clinton...$450 Suburban with Briggs transplant....$300 Lauson...$27.50 I bought the lauson, but neither of the suburbans. I talked to the guy that bought the one with the Clinton...i felt better after I did. He was the best friend of the guy who's estate was being sold after he died. He had known him for over 60 years. I explained to him what I learned from you guys on here and he was very thankful. Thanks for all the help and hopefully next time I'll come out on top. Tyson

The HF liners don't peel up , I bought a used Snap on tool box that the PO had some kind of white looking liner that was a mess. Every time I took something out of the drawer the liner moved. I put that stuff in the round trash can.

Thanks. I do have the other light and an original switch. I actually made the stand or pipe portion and got the lights from Ron Greco. I also have a nos muffler for it to redirect the beat away from the light on that side. I got it for $250 and feel like I did pretty well. I started looking for an original hood, but what are the chances of finding one with original paint that would match?!

Do you think you could get that dang tractor out of the way so we can see the "art" better
