11 pointsI have been looking for a small vintage drill press for a while now. I found this sweet one at the local flea market this morning. It was restored and works really nice.

9 pointsI sold this last fall. 1975 C-120 Auto. The buyer called and asked if I wanted it back. I couldn't say no. He put about 4-5 hours on it. The war dept. told him him he had to chose between a motorcycle or the WH.

9 pointsLook, I was offered the job of helping to moderate this forum. I can't differentiate moderating my friends and members I don't know. You have to be all the same to me. So I'm going to do my job to the best of my ability. The home spun pics seem to outnumber the show pics so I moved it back. But I will tell you this, wagging a finger and stomping a foot at me will get you nowhere. rmaynard you comments are right on with the bold type and capital letters. I don't like being yelled at either. I have corrected an action I took that I felt was justified because I jumped the the gun somewhat. My apologies for that. If we can't let this be the end of it the we'll close the thread entirely.

9 pointsMy son loves the new Massey 16, he calls it the Massey furryskin! He got a new hat from the Easter bunny and wanted me to take pics with the tractor... and of course I love to do that! Also I picked this pedal combine for his birthday on Thursday.

8 pointsMy barn find rat 1075 , I got for my birthday last year. @Amcwheel85 I call dibs on your suburban if for any reason you need to get rid of it ! I'm glad you scored that one , because if I were a couple states closer that one would've been mine . Even after given all the clues to what and where I found it still took a couple of days for you to get it (I mean stole it) .

7 pointsI live south of Cleveland where the madness happened today. I saw the video of the wacko gunning down the old man for no reason. I watched the video that the shooter did explaining his actions. There is a mental health issue here not a gun issue. How do you solve mental health issues? At this time the shooter is still out there and seems remorseless. I pray for the old man and his family. Its going to take a good guy with a gun in order to stop a bad guy with a gun. Too bad the old timer wasn't carrying.

7 pointsBy the use the bold print, all caps, and large font size, it looks like you are yelling at me. I didn't move your thread, so don't take your frustration out on me. You asked a question and I gave what I thought was a logical answer since the first two images were from a show.

6 pointsEaster haul here, saw this on CL a few daya ago and when I went to spend easter with my sis this was only 10 minutes from her. Wasn't exactly as good as shape as I hoped but the price was right. The tranny is jammed into two gears which was an easy fix if the dog point wasn't twisted off

6 pointsWell guys the pollen is killing me , the wife is very cranky with back pain ,all the pictures of the horses has helped my spirits a bunch. Happy Easter to everyone.

6 pointsI put on one of those in line hand primer pumps they work pretty good. Like this. Just make sure you get the right size for your fuel line. http://www.ebay.com/itm/like/182005970824?lpid=82&chn=ps&ul_noapp=true

6 pointsWorked on another piece of my puzzle. Making the parts for the differential was more of a challenge than I expected. I didn't have any of the original parts and I forgot to ask for pics from my friend in Indiana so I set forward with a concept but no pattern. The tension arm was fairly easy but the arm for releasing tension on the belt took a couple tries to get right. Getting enough motion to release belt tension was not as big of an issue as having enough motion in the opposite direction was. The L shaped bracket will be attached to the steering with linkage that I have to make yet. The finger on the L bracket hits the tension arm to release belt tension when turning. With the Left side done hopefully the right side will go easier. Also got some new shoes for the old girl.

5 pointsI did a sketch but couldn't make head nor tail of it, so motion control described in word and picture. I have used a 'heal toe' rocker type system before but didn't find it very instinctive, so as I have two feet I thought I'd use them both. Right foot for me (and imagine most) means forward, and the harder you press the faster you go. So this means left foot backwards and harder again means faster. The important thing is to be able to release the pedals and be in 'neutral'. So.... this is what I came up with at the pedal end. The pedal pivots in two 'bushes' under the footrest and comes through the hole, at the other end of the pedal bar, a clamping rod connects to two springs with adjusters that in turn go through the two little receivers on the loaders frame. When this is set up the springs neutralise each other holding the pedal in the middle of its travel. On the clamping rod, at the end nearest the transmission l made a receiver for a front bike brake cable (in the top right of the picture) this takes the pedal movement to the transmission. Using cables obviously does away with the need for complex linkages which would possibly bind or be jerky. This last picture shows the new cross bar welded up to the subframe to bear the weight of the operator, four tabs welded up and the footrests bolted down to them. Please ecuse the crude 'bushes' I don't have a lathe, so I just drilled out nuts to do the job. The system of springs works very well countering each other to return the pedals and the transmission to 'neutral'. Hope that's clear'ish, tomorrow I'll show the cable clamps and what goes on at the transmission end of the control.... till then loader fans.

5 pointsMy 16 year old daughter wants to plant a garden this year, so I am going ahead and tackling the "hard" part. This is virgin ground and has never been turned a although there were 3 garden boxes that sat there at one time and had premium top soil in them. When I removed the boxes,I tilled the soil back into the existing ground. The bottom plow isnt a Wheel Horse plow but looks like it may have come off a walk-behind tractor. I should have shortened the tongue a lot more than I did and probably will in the near future. I had to make some adjustments in order to get the depth right but I got it in the ballpark. The little RJs front end was a little light but I am impressed with the 4hp Clinton. I am going to disc it Monday and try to till it afterwards if weather permits. I picked up a very nice set of Brinly discs at the salvage yard my Dad and I went to Friday for 60 bucks. I dont think they have been used more than a few times.

5 pointsAwesome tractors guys! Keep them coming. Between looking at these tractors and watching my kids with there baskets this day is starting out great!
-
5 pointsDepending on year C175 may have a series 1 or Series 2 KT 17. The series 1 has a weak lubrication system and many of them threw rods. Series 2 are excellent engines. Series 1 can be OK If you keep them topped up with oil (maybe a bit overfull) and avoid running on steep grades 24300 and higher spec numbers are Series 2 As with any hydro get it warmed up put it against an immovable object and see if she will spin her rear wheels

4 pointsCame across this video on the CASE tractor site, the only "soft-side" Tractor Cab company in the US, very detailed on how they are made, in Arlington, IN:

4 pointsThat is a problem with rear mounted fuel tanks. I have mounted an electric fuel pump low on the frame and had no more problem.
-
3 pointsWell I'm sure you guys in upstate ny seen it but I had to have it and thank god the guys trusted me enough to hold it until I could get someone up there to get it. My sister used my dads truck and picked it up for me this morning. Now I have to wait for my dad to bring it down to tennessee! 1965 1045.

3 pointsHappy Easter and awesome pictures everyone. we want more pictures
-
3 pointsYeah I guess those short frames come in pairs Jeff, the 857 last week now this one. When I first looked at it looked pretty sad and I thought parts tractor and a spare 241 . Just got it off the trailer and now having 2nd thoughts and it could be saved. Will start a thread after I dig into it more for advice. Way to nice of a day not to be out in the shop!
-
3 pointsNot mine, I've never been lucky enough to attend a show... No problem as far as I'm concerned. I just love seeing the pics and hope I didn't offend anybody. Thanks. Craig
-
3 pointsMe, and because it appeared to me that the pics were taken an a couple different shows. There's the simple answer to your simple question. If it makes you happy, I have moved it back, Don't want to hurt anyone's feelings here. We just don't all see things the same way I guess. Better now?

3 pointsNice Easter wrangling!! My wife would have never let me pull that off. I wanted to go out in the garage today and received a big "Oh no your not !"
-
3 pointsAnother thing to add to this topic is, some of the older mule drives had heavy cast iron pulleys with replaceable bearings, and not the cheap formed steel spot welded pulleys the new one have. To me the old cast ones I have are smoother and quieter.
-
3 pointsI put hand primers on all 4 of my 520's and after a few quick squeezes they start right up. Even worked great after sitting all winter.

3 points"Low budget" Wheel Horses sometimes have some issues. Good news is that you now have a Wheel Horse! And 12hp is enough to do anything! And you have cast weights! Perhaps even better is that you now have the ultimate collection of Wheel Horse knowledge at your request! Welcome! And grab your wrenches!

2 pointsDon't give up looking for the cat everyone, l promise you'll see it if you keep your eyes peeled, no clues as to when though. @D man, the footrests are off the original tractor, l tried to reuse as much as possible of it to keep the machine Maybe the 12 and 18 automatics shared some common parts? Later I'll try to explain my ILS motion control (might draw a schetch to help). Later.....
