I'm new to this, but very excited to learn more. The engine looks clean inside but i have no spark..I dont think it will be hard to figure out, i hope..Thanks in advance!

12-18-1935 $100,000 Bill These gold certificates are first printed. They featured a portrait of Woodrow Wilson. They were never circulated but used internally by the Federal Reserve The base currency of the United States is the U.S. dollar. It is currently printed in bills in seven denominations: $1, $2, $5, $10, $20, $50, and $100. Previously there have also been five larger denominations: $500, $1,000, $5,000, and $10,000 were printed for general use (in large transactions), and a $100,000 bill for certain internal transactions. However, they are no longer being made or used.

Morning, Red Square and my Wheel Horse friends. I know some are dealing with a little wintery weather this morning. Here in at the North Pole, it's almost spring like, just minus 50 this morning. I see where some of you are trying to be unselfish and asking for things that are a bit out of Santa's powers, but I understand. World peace is a tall order, but if more people had hobbies like collecting Wheel Horses, then there would be more of a common bond among mankind. I wish I could go down through everyone's list and tell you that the gift or gifts you want are on the sleigh, but too busy waxing the sleigh this morning. It's got to slice through the air, so a bit of elbow grease and wax gives it a more aerodynamic advantage. I can assure you I read every post here, so keep them coming. It's amazing what the old sleigh and a few reindeer can do. HO! HO! HO!

We got an inch of ice around 20 years ago. Knocked out miles of hydro poles and even toppled the big high voltage towers. I was lucky and had power after only 2 weeks, others were out for a month or more. I lost a lot of my trees, my TV antenna bent. I spent the night in the basement fearing that a tree or two would fall on the house. A large hunk of a Maple tree in the back yard broke off and the branches did hit the house making a lot of noise. House was not damaged however. Two days after the storm it went above freezing and I was able to get my cars out of the garage due to such a thick layer of ice on the garage doors that they would not open. Next door neighbor came over with his old Case backhoe and pushed the branches out of the driveway because they were too heavy with ice to lift. I hope to never see that much ice ever again. Cleat

I made up the lift rod for the 46" snow/dozer blade, made up a counter weight for the back. Everything was working fine while I plowed out the neighbors driveway. Started on my drive and the bevel gear box started acting up. Good Ole Murphy got me again..... I better get the blade/chains on the 1054 and ready for the the next snow.

OK ... everyone of us has a wishlist. If there is a Wheel Horse Santa Claus, what is the one item at the top of your wish list and why do you want it most?? Let's see what the "big guy" should be loading into his sleigh this year . I want a larger garage. Getting the tractors is easy. Finding a place to put them is impossible.

As y'all probably remember, I recently scored a steal of a deal on a JD 212 a few weeks back, I got her running and have been wondering what I was gonna do with her, was surfing the web this morning and found this. Thinking of building something similar for the Deere, I think it would be a super handy unit to use around the house, shop, maybe even out at the farm

My primary winter tractors all are Charger /Electros with the 10 pinion diff. They are the best ones I have used in the winter ...better than the 418A, C81 -8 ...any of the other 13 horses. Put on some narrow tires, chains and weights and they will surprise you how much snow they can move. Hydros make maneuvering much easier/quicker (especially if you have to back up frequently) and you can get the perfect ground speed for the blower while keeping the auger speed up. They get summers off now...do not want to wear out the spring in the differential.

Nice find and my favorite , first model here . You have 1 thing going for you already - it has it's original 2-spoke steering wheel which is pretty rare , hope it's in one piece and not cracked badly . Eastwood's Diamond clear will shine it up after a light Scotch Brite pad cleaning , don't use a lot of pressure on the pad and take your time . The K301 is a tough engine , as others said let it soak for a few days to avoid damage to the cylinder and rings . Too bad it doesn't have the hydro lift and hopefully the Sundstrand pump is in good shape . Clean up the tank and replace the fuel lines , rebuild the carb and order up a kit for the fuel pump , I'll bet it will run once again . I've had two of the 1277's , love that long 7-slot hood since it has a great vintage look . Decal Wizard has the wood grain decals and the correct dash kit for it so if you want to do a restore it's an option - I'd get a set either way . Check the filter on the hydro and make certain it's a WH/Toro filter and not some engine oil filter - it must be the correct hydraulic filter or will damage the pump . Too bad it's missing the original black & white seat . Look at the manual and it's pictures and you'll find any changes that have been made . Common to have to free up the direction control friction shaft for the trans , it's in the boxed area ahead of the seat and a common issue if stored outside in the weather . Don't force the direction handle and use the manual to disassemble the direction mechanism and clean it up . Not hard at all once you get into one if you're mechanically inclined and the parts drawing will show how it's put together . No spark is pretty easy , probably just the points or maybe a bad coil and condenser . The starter generator is a tough old bugger and they rarely fail but the relay contacts in the Delco regulator as susceptible to corrosion . Find a correct points file - some automotive or hardware stores carry the nice small Nicholson one and they aren't expensive . You have to give the silver contacts a polish and a good auto electric shop can reset the contacts to the correct tension so it charges the battery to the correct voltage . Hopefully it still has the original cigarette lighter and it's not rusted into a pile ...but a container of kerosene and a week's soaking will do wonders , then polish it with chrome cleaner like Mother's or Turtle Wax after cleaning the kero out with brake cleaner . The key switch is a battery ignition type and made by Cole Hersee , don't lose that switch and the wiring is pretty simple . Just fyi - there is a guy on a WH buy/sell/trade group on Facebook that is parting out a 1277 despite it being a very complete tractor . I almost went after it but it's a bit too far and I'm out of room . Fairly clean old girl and would be a great source for donor parts . https://www.facebook.com/groups/WHGTP/permalink/1247058018683746/?sale_post_id=1247058018683746 You can do a simple search on Google , Facebook and such Wheel Horse 1277 , there are not many of this model left as it was only 1yr model , 1967. @perry had one of the best original examples I've seen and I used his photos (Thanks , Perry) for repairing mine and making it correct . Here's how mine sits right now , awaiting a new transmission mounting plate repair - I've worked this poor thing very hard for over 15yrs now...finally taking it's toll . Perry's old 1277 , all original - except that seat ... This is the other I had , sold earlier this year to a fella on here from the Chicago area - never should have let it go but I'm totally out of room here . Sarge

The 1969 Charger 10 model #1-7041 came with the #5062 transmission and the Sundstrand 90-2046 hydro. The 5062 transmission does have the 10 pinion limited slip differential and 1 1/8" axle. That is what it came with. The best way to tell is to down load the manual for a particular tractor and open up the D&A OM IPL. Find the break down of the transmission, and count the pinions in the differential. You will see the 5062 tranny at the top of the breakdown page...item #20 is the pinions (10). It will also tell you the size of the axle seal...1 1/8" Now any horse that has the #5062 trans will have the 10 pinion limited slip differential.

Here's the manual for it. The mule drive on the front is an upgrade to the later style allowing you to use the more modern decks. Per chance are you across the big pond?

I am not cold at all. Hot water baseboard heat is the way to go. We had some rain to wash the salt off the roads, and it looks like it will be in the mid 20's most of today. So, time for a motorcycle ride to the bike open house 8 miles up the road. I can ride for an hour in the thirties, a half hour in the twenties, and 10 minutes in the low teens and after that it is not really very fun. If I had heated gloves, single digits and sunny days with no wind would be no challenge at all. I have an old school Vetter fairing and tall windscreen and that makes a world of difference. Maybe i am nuts, but breathing in cold air makes me feel stronger. It is really about the clothing you wear. Carhartt zero zone are the clothes to have....I really am a wuss in the heat and humidity, so I guess it takes all kinds of people to make the world go around

Ran the snowthrower this morning. We had about 4". It started to snow again. Ran my 520H with a 48" plow for the first time. I was having a blast until l I ran out of gas. I filled it up. The 520 ran great for about 5-10 minutes. It started dying and cutting out. I guess I'll be cleaning the carburetor in the morning.

These "wipers" close the gap on the single stage blowers. I use pieces cut from an old rubber bed liner. Some use flat belting. The are put on both edges of the auger and they are custom cut to fit the clearance on your blower. I back mine up with 1/16" steel.

I already have a C120 set up as a plow tractor. I am thinking of setting this one up as a snowblower for winter, since these hydro drives seem so convenient for the constant back and forth of snow duty. Now that I know it has the good axles, it opens up the possibilities of the jobs it can do when the weather warms up!

Got about 8 in here & blew in the morning. Short chute had some issues so back into the shop for a quick braze job & adjust the cable. Those cable setups can be real pita! I should have robbed the tall chute & worm gear setup on the new to me 2 stg but missing the linkage and have yet to fab it. Got the cable thing fixed tho and actually turns pretty good now. Went at round two about 5 and just starting to quit but turning real cold. New cab lites did not show up yet but made due. Did get the light control dash made up tho.

Thought I read that it was rated at 300 lbs. I made this out of scraps laying around. I know the car hitch Is mounted upside down but I wanted to get my hitch hight up off the ground a little. The basket holds a milk crate that I put my weight in. I am itching to plow this year this is my first horse I restored.

I used a piece of sidewall from a front wheel horse tire. Cuts easily with a band saw, but there is a heavy wire were the bead seals. Ask me how I know...
