11 pointsSanta...Please bring a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all. And good weather for the BIG SHOW.
-
10 pointsWhile some embrace the lastest technology with amazing results, some of us less technically adept go old school to express ourselves. The inspiration for these cookies was some cat butt refridgerator magnets that my son presented me with. While still warm these cookies usually get a small chocolate chip added but because of the family nature of this site I will just leave it to your imagination.I wish I could share these with you folks but if I get a smile or chuckle out of you then they did their job.Happy Holidays to you all,JAinVA

9 pointsWorld Peace would be a very Special Gift. That is all I want. I've already got snow...thank you.
-
8 pointsHope to have some of these made for the Big Show next June in PA, actual size is about 3" tall ––– this is a video on the detail involved in programming a CNC with Vector Art to control the printer, and then the last part is actually building-forming the "Mother" original cookie cutter in wire plastic. I hope to mold and cast some in my epoxy-resin and to keep the cost down to $10-12 @, have to make lots of test before marketing. The first original part can get expensive to draw/program/make, but way too hard to create-carve by hand, probably nearly impossible without CNC..

8 pointsSanta here. Sorry I haven't logged onto the site yet this year. Been busy at the North Pole, as you can imagine. Toys, toys, toys.....and some of them are for the bigger boys. I have been browsing the site seeing who's naughty or nice, and let me tell you, some of you haven't been too nice this year. For those who haven't been that nice, well, your Wheel Horse Christmas wish might not be that exciting. But for those who have been nice, let me see your Wheel Horse Christmas wishes. There is still time to load the sleigh up with what you want. BTW, Santa likes chocolate chip cookies, none of that oatmeal stuff for me, HO!HO!HO! TO ALL

7 pointsI finally got to blow some snow last Sunday with my raider 8. This was my first time ever using a blower and it wasn't bad. If I didn't have that cab I would sell the blower. My window was completely cover at one point. The snow was a little heavy so it didn't blow it too far. And it was a little windy and I couldn't blow with the wind. I do need a set of 6x12 chains though.
-
7 pointsWell, kids, I see that even some of the naughty has some wishes. I'll have to see about filling the wishes, and yes, even the naughty may have something in their stockings. My elves are busy right now, making toys, packing boxes, wrapping gifts, filling out the name tags, and so on. Mrs. Claus is also busy, doing what she does best, keeping ole Santa's boyish figure intact. I do say I really have been having a hankering for Betty Crocker's Whipped Milk Chocolate Icing, it's the best I've tasted since I can't remember when. Maybe since I help the Pilgrims with their Thanksgiving feast a few years, er, I mean a few centuries ago. My, how time flies when you're busy. Keep the Christmas wishes coming, we still have a few days before Rudolph and the gang has to take to the air.
-
7 pointsFirst time out for the new toy! We didn't have much snow but I HAD to try out the blower. I haven't had the time to add the idler pulley and longer belt to the blower but it still worked fine.
-
6 pointsAsk Santa for two roller chains to wrap around the middle of your tires and it will be like riding on rails

5 pointsOK ... everyone of us has a wishlist. If there is a Wheel Horse Santa Claus, what is the one item at the top of your wish list and why do you want it most?? Let's see what the "big guy" should be loading into his sleigh this year . I want a larger garage. Getting the tractors is easy. Finding a place to put them is impossible.
-
5 pointsMy 7yo first time pushing snow, only got about 3-4" her in RI before it turned to rain. I still gotta get my weights and chains on but he did damn well for his first time out Sorry don't know how to rotate
-
5 pointsWell Santa mine is pretty simple I bought a rj 35 just want the reel mower for it, my Xmas would be complete!
-
4 pointsThese "wipers" close the gap on the single stage blowers. I use pieces cut from an old rubber bed liner. Some use flat belting. The are put on both edges of the auger and they are custom cut to fit the clearance on your blower. I back mine up with 1/16" steel.

4 pointsClassicdmax - Your son's doing a great job! - brings back memories...My 18 year old was out all day today on the C-105, only now it's his "clients" - not Mom & Dad's driveway since we don't pay!!! (Took photo through screen, so it is a bit fuzzy).

-
4 pointsJust some help with my many projects (shop finished , 520H , A-81) ... a 867 would work too ! MERRY CHRISTMAS and HAPPY NEW YEAR everyone !
-
4 pointsMerry Christmas and Happy Holidays to all! Santa, I'd like one of Matt's Custom Hydro Pedal Kits!
-
4 pointsI second that request. More pressing would be---the time and $$$ to get Blackbeard (Zach's GT-14) a facelift next spring! Merry Christmas to all my fellow horsemen across the country and globe. Those of you that I've had a chance to meet are a great group of guys both in person and virtually here!
-
4 pointsMy single stage tall shoot won't throw it over the power lines like a Gravely but I came close!
-
4 pointsIDK what "very far" means, but 30' to the side is really good and it also has to do with the snow type and how you keep the blower loaded with ground speed and always run WOT, also the top deflector setting makes a difference with throwing distance, and solid stone guard really helped on my single stage the rubber paddles are really for the 2stage impeller fan to drum, but I think @Ed Kennell did an auger paddle extension on his single stage, but my single did almost as good as (my 2stage 2cd pic) in throwing distance,Jeff.

4 pointsWas out for a few hours this morning knocking the drifts back, we didn't get all that much snow, but the wind howled last night. It's all open to the south of me, and that's the way the wind blew of course. But I had a lot of fun, that 12hp no name (Ezra) and thrower never missed a beat

3 pointsThese caption this threads are merely a form of entertainment. What makes them entertaining are the comments about the pictures. They are not a "best picture" competition. If you don't like these posts and would prefer that I don't post them anymore this is your chance to say so. If you like them you can voice that opinion also. But posting a blown up version of my avatar or a dog with a tennis ball in front of it without a caption does nothing for the thread other than disrupt it. We want to provide content that members like so I thought it only fair to see if you like this content or not. I like other pictures added to the thread with comments and have added my own comments in support of those pictures. So let's hear from you and see where we go from here.

3 pointsAgree, it all depends what type and how much. I am itching to use the 2 stage and cab. But like Mike / squonk says, I put the cab curse on myself. Geez, I better run out and get my suntan lotion, don't want to be caught without it.... Glenn
-
3 pointsI told you Glenn that cab would keep the snow away. It never fails for the first year of cab ownership!
-
3 pointsI have to agree with Kurt the thrower works best for deeper snow falls and for keeping the snow thrown farther away. The plow is great for light snow falls and clean up duties.
-
3 pointsI would like to not have to use my wheel horse tractor this winter. meaning no snow.
-
3 pointsI guess it depends. I've tried both and prefer my two stage blower. A plow handles lighter snow well, but once it gets over a foot, the blower excels. But my real problem with the plow was having no place to push the snow - at least after a couple of storms. My two stage can blow snow well over 60ft to the side. No build up problems. I guess it depends on how much snow you get.

3 points12-17-1989 The Simpsons debuts on FOX. The Simpsons is an American animated sitcom created by Matt Groening for the Fox Broadcasting Company. The series is a satirical depiction of working-class life epitomized by the Simpson family, which consists of Homer, Marge, Bart, Lisa, and Maggie. The show is set in the fictional town of Springfield and parodies American culture, society, television, and the human condition. The family was conceived by Groening shortly before a solicitation for a series of animated shorts with producer James L. Brooks. Groening created a dysfunctional family and named the characters after members of his own family, substituting Bart for his own name. The shorts became a part of The Tracey Ullman Show on April 19, 1987. After a three-season run, the sketch was developed into a half-hour prime time show and became an early hit for Fox, becoming the network's first series to land in the Top 30 ratings in a season (1989–90). Since its debut on December 17, 1989, 598 episodes of The Simpsons have been broadcast. Its 28th season began on September 25, 2016. It is the longest-running American sitcom and the longest-running American animated program, and in 2009 it surpassed Gunsmoke as the longest-running American scripted primetime television series. The Simpsons Movie, a feature-length film, was released in theaters worldwide on July 27, 2007, and grossed over $527 million. On May 4, 2015, the series was renewed for seasons 27 (2015–16) and 28 (2016–17), consisting of 22 episodes each. The Simpsons has received widespread critical acclaim, especially for its "Golden Age", covering approximately its first ten seasons. Time magazine named it the 20th century's best television series,[8] and The A.V. Club named it "television's crowning achievement regardless of format". On January 14, 2000, the Simpson family was awarded a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. It has won dozens of awards since it debuted as a series, including 31 Primetime Emmy Awards, 30 Annie Awards, and a Peabody Award. Homer's exclamatory catchphrase "D'oh!" has been adopted into the English language, while The Simpsons has influenced many adult-oriented animated sitcoms. Despite this, the show has also been criticized for what many perceive as a decline in quality over the years. Homer works as a safety inspector at the Springfield Nuclear Power Plant, a position at odds with his careless, buffoonish personality. Having been a Nuclear Power Plant Operator myself, I find Homer’s work episodes to be more akin to “reality TV” rather than comedy; scary, but true. D’oh!

3 pointsGround speed is highly dependent upon the type of snow - fluffy stuff takes some speed to keep it loaded up and isn't as critical as very heavy wet snow . The wet stuff it can be a real chore trying to match ground speed and keep an eye on the discharge which is what I feel is the key - if it's not coming out in a decent sized stream you're either too fast or too slow . There's always a balance in there somewhere and when you find it the thing works like it should . I will say this - two biggest issues are too much clearance/wear in the auger to the housing box and the 2nd being either a slipping clutch or belt issue . Rpm's are the main key - single stage blowers need to spin at full speed to work , or they won't work at all since they rely on centrifugal force to throw the snow up through the chute . I increased the speed on my blower by about 20% through changing the chain sprocket tooth count - it really helped but when I pulled it with a really tired K301 loading became a bit more critical since it could bog down the engine . On the C-160 it worked excellent with the extra torque of the bigger engine and only when blowing flat out slush from road salt did it ever plug up . That blower has also had rubber flaps installed on the auger's center flats where it ejects the snow up into the chute and that difference sure made it throw a lot farther - sometimes hitting over 40' easily . Sarge

3 pointsIf the tractor was real cold could be a frozen or stuck gasline, carb or fuel pump diaphrapm as Terry suggests. Using Seaform and premium non-ethanol gasoline will help you. Countrymark Co-Op gas stations in Indiana sell non-thanol premium fuel which is what I use in my tractors. Works a lot better in the older K type Kohler motors. CountryMark Co-op link: http://www.countrymark.com/countrymark/deliveredfuels.aspx

3 pointsdiaphragm style fuel pump(?) ...Sub zero temps? just a guess that maybe the fuel pump is the issue.

3 pointsHere's where being a moderator becomes extremely difficult. One must be able to encourage constructive responses while deciding which side of the fine-line some of these posts fall on in a given thread . We have a pretty good member base here . Maybe there are a few sour apples in the bushel , but I'm really not sure as I don't pay that close attention to those details . Personally , I think the "caption this" threads are a great Idea . It gives folks a chance to show their imaginations & encourages posts . ( which is what these forums are all about ) .
