Picked up my first sign today at Dennis Equipment in New Castle IN. I visited with Mr. Dennis and got the VIP tour of his facility. It was a great time. I also picked up a much needed extension bracket to put the snow/dirt blade on the 520.

Hello, My name is Joe and I finally got a Wheelhorse 3 days ago. I found a Toro Wheelhorse 312 8sp. It's in great shape. I got the tractor plus a 36" mower, 44" dual stage snow blower, twin bagger unit, cast iron wheel weights and chains. I had a simplicity broadmoor 6116 that I sold and put the $$ toward the horse. I liked the simplicity and it is well built, gave a great cut and not short on power. But the Wheelhorse is just better. I had known they were very capable for a long time. Seeing one up close makes you realize how well engineered and built these tractors are. Mine needs a fuel pump, can't get past the pump. Not sure on the year, 94 maybe. Look forward to learning more here. Also, that snowblower is still in the back of my stake body, gonna take 3 of us to unload it!

Well, made it through our show in 95 degree heat! Only one other lgt came and it was so scared when it saw my horses that it turned green. Got lots of positive responses and even a lead on a couple of horses in need of love at a reasonable price provided the gentleman doesn't back out. Anyway, here's a few pics from our show. Very nice weekend! We had all 6 of our horses, a WH dump cart, and my Ford 8n there.

Friend of mine came into the coffee shop this morning and asked me if I had $100. I asked him what for and he said he found me another Wheel Horse. Not sure on the model...my friend bought it brand new with a tiller on it in the mid 70s. He then traded it to another friend about 10 yrs ago, who has decided he wants to get rid of it. Hasn't ran in three or four years but Harry said it was running good when he parked it. I'll be anxious to get over there this week and see what it is and bring her home, will post more details as well as pictures when I get her home.

First off I would like to say a BIG Thank you!!! to Glen Pettit for the awesome headlight lenses and gaskets that I picked for the 1054. Finally had some time to install the lenses tonight after work. I think the Ole 1054 is pretty happy now.

7-25-1965 Dylan Goes Electric At the 1963 Newport Folk Festival, Dylan had been received enthusiastically when he performed "Blowin' in the Wind" with Joan Baez, Peter Paul and Mary, and other Festival performers. At the 1964 Newport Folk Festival, Dylan performed "With God On Our Side" and "Mr. Tambourine Man". On Saturday, July 24, 1965, Dylan performed three acoustic numbers, "All I Really Want to Do", "If You Gotta Go, Go Now", and "Love Minus Zero/No Limit" at a Newport workshop. According to Jonathan Taplin, a roadie at Newport (and later a road manager for the acts of Dylan's manager Albert Grossman) Dylan made a spontaneous decision on the Saturday that he would challenge the Festival by performing with a fully amplified band. Taplin said that Dylan had been irritated by what he considered condescending remarks which festival organizer Alan Lomax had made about the Paul Butterfield Blues Band, when Lomax introduced them for an earlier set at a festival workshop. Dylan's attitude, according to Taplin, was, "Well, f___ them if they think they can keep electricity out of here, I'll do it. On a whim he said he wanted to play electric." Dylan then assembled a band and rehearsed that night at a mansion being used by festival organizer George Wein. On the night of Sunday, July 25, Dylan's appearance was sandwiched between Cousin Emmy and the Sea Island singers, two decidedly traditional acts. The band that went on stage to back Dylan included two musicians who had played on his recently released single, "Like a Rolling Stone": Mike Bloomfield on lead guitar and Al Kooper on organ. Two of Bloomfield's bandmates from the Paul Butterfield Blues Band also appeared at Newport: bassist Jerome Arnold and drummer Sam Lay, along with Barry Goldberg on piano. Footage of Dylan's Newport performance can be seen in the documentary films Festival (1967), No Direction Home (2005) and The Other Side of the Mirror: Bob Dylan Live at the Newport Folk Festival 1963–1965 (2007). The footage begins with Dylan being introduced by Master of Ceremonies Peter Yarrow: "Ladies and gentlemen, the person that's going to come up now has a limited amount of time ... His name is Bob Dylan." In the documentary footage, the sound of both booing and cheering can be heard a few bars into Dylan's first song, "Maggie's Farm", and continues throughout his second, "Like a Rolling Stone". Dylan and his band then performed "Phantom Engineer", an early version of "It Takes a Lot to Laugh, It Takes a Train to Cry". Dylan was said to have "electrified one half of his audience, and electrocuted the other". After "Phantom Engineer", Dylan and the band left the stage. The sound of booing and clapping can be heard in the background. When Peter Yarrow returned to the microphone, he begged Dylan to continue performing. According to Robert Shelton, when Dylan returned to the stage, he discovered he did not have the right harmonica and said to Yarrow, "What are you doing to me?" Dylan then asked the audience for 'an E harmonica'. Within a few moments, a clatter of harmonicas hit the stage. He then performed two songs on acoustic guitar for the audience: "It's All Over Now, Baby Blue", and then, as his farewell to Newport, "Mr. Tambourine Man". The crowd exploded with applause at the end, calling for more. Dylan did not return to the Newport festival for 37 years. In an enigmatic gesture, Dylan performed at Newport in 2002, sporting a wig and fake beard

After restoring my dad's old tractor I found these pictures I'd taken back in Fall 1983 and Spring 1984. I made the trailer match the work horse and by spring found some letters. I took very good care of this horse in it's early years. Now that it's restored it's also going to be well cared for. It will likely be at the show next year, I didn't quite have it done for this years show. Dad bought it at Becker's in Hanover, PA in May, 1983.

I heard that two of those "E" models sold at an auction in Mahaffey, Pa. last week for $45 for both of them. One person lifted the hood and said "Where's the motor?". I wish I had been there .

Hi all.... No major update here... Still painting. All the wheels and tires are done.. Basically all the fenders are a painted... Just have the dash and the heavy nose left to paint. I'm looking forward to getting the front axle mounted so I can at least have a rolling chassis. I have painted over the grease zerks so I will have clean them up to be able to use them. If it becomes a problem I suppose I can just put new ones in. Here are a few pics of the snow plow I got.

Greetings all, Here is my 1977 C-160 in mid-restoration. She purrs like a kitten. They don't sell blades for this deck anymore (as far as I could find) so I bought some close and had a machine shop drill the extra holes to make them fit. I should see tomorrow how well that works out. https://goo.gl/photos/1sJsDsajAcSTK3Kk9 I'm in SE TX, looking for garden plow and tiller attachments for this sweet girl. Hope you enjoy the pics! Hey Guys, Just purchased this "Barn Find" Wheel Horse 520H. It carries ID3120OEQ2 and 9058 serial number. I'm not sure but I think it is a 1989. I bought it from the original owner's family after he had passed away. He took delivery of it November of '89. I am really excited about this as it is only the second Wheel Horse I have ever owned. I even got the owners manual, parts manual, deck manual and original delivery documents. It seems to be complete with everything it was born with except the plastic headlight "surround buckets" or whatever they are called. This tractor has not run in many years and it shows just over 1000 hours on the clock. It came with what I think is a 48" deck. I have no idea what to expect as I dig into this thing as I could not get any history from the family members about it other than the owner loved it and used it a lot. I have rebuilt many Onan engines over the years so that part doesn't scare me. I bought this to power a 20" buzzsaw rig I have so it is going to be a real challenge but a lot of fun. It really would be shame for me to not restore it somewhere along the way. I gave $300 for this tractor. Do you guys think this was a reasonable price for it? Gary

Hi all... Reassembly is beginning. I still have some painting to do, but today I mounted the front tires and connected the rear to the the frame. it was so hot here in NJ today. Oppressive, I tell you... Just couldn't get much work done. Needed Air Conditioning immediately.. Tomorrow I'm going to pickup a 42" snow plow. It's my understanding that it is a long frame plow but may not fit a GT14 without any modifications. So I may be doing a thread on that in the future of things don't as easily as I would like.

Well guys, I'm calling this my first true haul because I've never picked up this much at one time before. It's mainly all parts and some will probably be used for some projects in the future and some will be sold, but for how much there was and what the price was, I couldn't say no. So, I picked up a C-111, a 657, and a 704. The C-111 may actually be a runner. Not the original motor, but she has spark, and I sprayed some carb cleaner in the intake and got a backfire out the muffler, so she will probably run, I then put some gas in the tank and the bowl instantly flooded so it may need a carb cleaning at least. I did also notice that the right foot pan was slightly bent, along with the belt guard on the bottom, so I will have to straighten that out before I can drive it otherwise the belt will shred in seconds. The 657 has a 7hp Tecky from an Ariens snow blower on it. No Spark, but turns over, has compression, tires have seen better days, but frame and tranny seems to be relativley solid, may make something fun out of it if I get the itch! Now....the ugly child; the 704 has no hood, the tranny is frozen, and I don't really know what to do with her. She has a mower deck that may be saveable, but not too sure yet, and K241 on her, that is not seized, but has no compresion, with quite an odd carb, maybe some of you guys may know whats going on with it, but I have no clue about this style, any info would be appreciated. Oh, and it all also came with a 60" deck for a 520. It had previoulsy been restored or at least painted, and seems to maybe have never been on a tractor after being redone. No grass on the underside, really decent shape. Now I need a 520 with a swept front axle...... but all in all, for what i have into it, I feel like I made out well! It surely will keep me busy for a while.

Just picked up this cart and I want to verify that it truly is a Wheel Horse and was Ohio Steel making them for WH as the paper shows. I was given that paper with the trailer. It is rusty but no holes in it.

I went to an auction this weekend and ended up with this B80, snowblower and plow(sorry couldn't get the pic to rotate). The thunder storm in the middle of the auction chased away a lot of the bidders and I was able to get a great deal on them as well as a trailer to haul them home with, One of the best auctions that I have been to. The B80 had a dead battery so was not able to start it but a friend of the previous owner said that it ran fine last year when it was last used. It is in good condition and the RD deck looks almost new. The blower is in good condition but the plow will need some TLC. The lift handle is missing so I will need to track one down at some point. Now I just need to find time to get the B80 up and running.

Well there is one benefit of this game, and that is that its getting people out and about developing new friendships with new people and playing together. Imagine, people actually using and developing social skills again like we did as kids. You parents out there who complain about your kids not going out to play should feel a bit of relief that something drug their butts off the couch and out the door!

The one advantage to the NAPA/Wix filter is that they have flutes on the end which are easier to grip when removing it. I have had to resort to driving a screwdriver through the Toro filter for lack of grip. You might also consider Mobil 1 synthetic which has better cold weather performance. Search the forum for threads on adjusting your linkage. It has addressed many times.

I have owned two of those goofy machines over the years. It was a really cool machine but as Steve stated, I didn't want to have to buy batteries again. There are days that I regret selling my first one but at $600 for batteries I just couldn't justify it. Yes.....I am a Michigan nut, but married a Hoosier and live in the Hoosier state.

I dont know about you guys. Im 39 and the internet is baned in my house. They get an internet treat every now and then but unless its school or im alowing it, its not happening. The reason kids are the way they are is the internet. Dont get me wrong I make my living from it. I grew up on bbs and dial up. Ive see it transform to what it is today and its a time suck. I thought 10 yrs ago kids would be smarter and i would have to retool, but i dont have to and thats sad. They have no clue for various reasons. Im hanging my hat on the thoughtless internet.

Well, looks like Dad has appointments everyday this week so I'll try to check in. I got the wheels painted, decided to use my short frame front wheels for the rod look, and clear coated the tractor. Overall I'm pretty pleased with how it looks. Going to put a back rest on the seat. Our tractor club is having our annual show this thurs - sat and I'm going to take all 6 of our horses. Not many people around here know much about . Oh, I've already tried the wheelie bars - that front lifts really easily.

I wanted to share what the body shop used on my Dad's 1983 GT-1142 Workhorse. He paint matched the color to a Subaru Color "Warm Gray" 88N. He painted it in Base Coat, Clear Coat. It looks dead on and better that the day it came off the show room floor back in May 1983.
