The way she came into this world, it is a great example for us all, that we are what we make of ourselves not how we start. All things can be accomplished through love and Jesus. Bob

Tomorrow, I'll see if I can get some pictures that show the massive scale of the event. Garden tractors are only a small segment. Acres and acres of swap meet vendors, antique tractors, hit and miss engines, food vendors, consignment barn...

Finally finished Miss Daisy. Parts came under the cover of darkness. New key switch, fuel lines, fuel shutoff and grommet, used ammeter, changed the fluids 3 used tires and the patina treatment. Runs flawless. Didn't have to touch the carb at all, Belt rattles at low engine speed. Thinking of a new belt even though the old one looks ok and an idler pulley. On to the deck to see if I can salvage it and sell it as a unit.

Another huge trash night score... Honda engine. Fired up second pull... I am sure the pump is shot, but who the hell throws away a running Honda engine? My next project...

Picked up this Bass Pro brand meat grinder at the local Goodwill $14.99. Goodwill is usually hung on things like this, but this one has some rust where meat was left on it. Easy clean up. Bought a roast and hand some deer backstrap. We made 8 lbs of 50/50 chile meat to test it while it was still in the 8 day return window. I’ve previously used the meat grinder attachment on my wife’s Kitchen Aid mixer. Grinding 40+ lbs of venison a year may have been over doing it a little

I've always wanted to show a before and after comparison with Penetrol. So I gave Dusty the B-80 the business. Before: After:

Added some liquid ballast and installed some new front wheel bearings on “Vince” the 1257. Installed some thrust bearings on front spindles also. Did improve ease of steering.

Back in my Chevy garage days our shop foreman had this long honkin CB antenna on the roof of his pick up. He thought he was better than us so he ate his lunch at 1:00. He would sit in his truck and talk on the CB. We always played jokes on each other so one day me and another guy came back from lunch and I had a banana peel to toss out. I climbed into the back of the truck pulled his antenna down and stuck the peel on the end and gently let it straighten out. Then waited for him to see that peel on his antenna.

If it is really all original, it is truly one of it's kind. I hope it is going somewhere that will preserve it and it will be something special. That being said I am not financially savvy enough to spend nearly $6000 on it. Clearly it means alot to the buyer.

Progress is good! Perhaps not the best timing, but if there was anything that was bugging you about the layout/features/facilities of the house before, this is the time to look ahead and make changes!

You know that if you drop a socket, it will roll to the exact geographic center of the vehicle you're working on. It's physics.

My 1/4 drive sockets have been on the below pictured cheap 💩 chrome rails for yyeeeaarrs. I've thought about getting actual big boy holders pretty much that whole time. Today I got these nifty blue magnetic holders. MUCH better. No more falling rolling sockets.

I started the remodel of our new ALiner Scout pop up camper today. Got to make sleeping quarters for the dog. The plan is to convert the cupboard under the sink into a crate for the dog. This will involve removing the sink, plumbing, and refrigerator, and rebuilding it into a dog crate. Basically, I will end up building a new front panel for the cupboard and give the inside of the cupboard a more complete finish. In all of the camping vehicles we have had over the years, we have never cooked inside any of them. We don't plan to start now. Demolition is done. Now we will start gathering materials to put it back together. Pictures to follow. Of course, this project produces another project. The refrigerator that came out of the ALiner is a 12 volt compressor type. We will reinstall that in our Coleman travel trailer in place of the 3 way refrigerator that is there. We have very unimpressed with the performance of that refrigerator. This will require cabinet work, propane piping work, and electrical work.

Had a team taking down three large Norway Maple trees (a fast-growing invasive) from a place on the property inaccessible to their truck. Many loads from the worksite to their truck with the 854 and trailer to saved them using a hand truck (and saved me some $$ in hourly rate!)

I'm happy to report that the Meeha Mirror is doing exceptionally well. She's healing faster and better than the E/R doc expected. Trina's been experimenting with taking two of the three meds away. There was some on n off there because of obvious pain & discomfort but the dog 🐕 is now off meds except prednisone. That'll be a few more weeks in the downgrading process. She's still severely restricted in allowable movement. No jumping. No running. Indoors she's kept quiet and in limited space so she can't run. Outdoors she's always leashed. This routine keeps up until the end of September at minimum.

Yea I was away for 3 weeks and the grass was high and the old muffler blew right off the side and dropped on the lawn. I had the gun range ear muffs on so it didn't bother me and was determined to finish the yard. I got the one side done then went down to the other side near the intolerant type neighbor who by the way runs loud equipment very often especially one of those very loud backpack blowers and has to get every leaf several times a week, powerwash everything, mow constantly, etc. Well when I turned around the wife was on the deck just looking at me and the man was almost jumping up and down like "no stop that!". I pointed to the little patch I had left as to say "Just this little bit more", and he jumped up and down even more. It was really funny but I restrained myself from laughing and drove the tractor away, parked it in it's spot and turned it off. So yea they loved it. If I saw/heard my neighbor mowing with no muffler, I'd take my mower over and finish it for him.

Again I mowed the Fire Stationwith the 312, ran it out of gas 3/4 of the way through. Then had to walk back to get my ATV and a gas can. My parents and I didn’t have any gas so I borrowed some from my brother. It's just far enough away to not want to drag a significantly full gas can that far. I finished up the Fire Station, and took my tractor home, then got the ATV, and saw a co worker who saw me go there with the tractor but not back Then he got the short version of events. just for the record, I thought, and still think it was kind of funny how it played out.

The tree guys were highly impressed. My cart is rated up to 700 lbs and we got close on a couple of loads but the 854 seemed to be asking “Is that all? Let’s use 3rd gear!”

There is a Company stateside that refurbs old ones (mostly RHD models from New Zealand), stretches the nose by 2 inches and gives it Honda V-Tech power - about 200 HP! Quite the ride! Each one is built to order...

Is the 25 amp fuse good? oil level good? PTO off? Clutch / Brake depressed? Shift lever (motion control) in neutral? If you apply 12 volts to the PURPLE wire on the solenoid will the solenoid close and the engine turn over?

i use a 42 inch recycling deck with my 314-8. The baffle on a resr discharge holds ghe grass clips in a little longer for recuts! But it also holds wet grass which i mowed over this week (dewy) that clings to the decks. I had it off today to clean!
