14 pointsI had my doubts this 16(14) Automatic "Johnny Cash" would ever be anything other than a parts donor, but here we are!
-
11 pointsWhy all the snowmen decorum, and not of me! I've been slighted and disrespected. I think Karl may get some coal in his stockings this year.
-
9 pointsThat old fat guy didn't even bring this miner a lump o coal for ten years. And I got his mug all over the place. Outside Peepin in the kitchen window On the tree Holding the nice list...that I must not be on. Maybe this is why Rudolph makes a U turn when he sees this. Anyway, I filled the stockings for ya. And there won't be any cookies for you. Merry Christmas to All My Wheel Horse Family
-
9 pointsYeah that Karl needs to be taught a lesson! Feel free to drop off all his Christmas loot here at my place if you think it’ll help drive the lesson home @nylyon 🎅🎅🎅🎅🎅🎅🎅🎅🎅🎅🎅🎅🎅🎅🎅

7 pointsLook here, Santa, we know you’re the VIP. But the snowmen agreed to work for free as long as we let them sit on the tractors. If I put you in the theme, I’d have to pay you in premium 10W-30 and hay for the reindeer. Besides, my stocking is already full of spindles and spark plugs—there’s no room for coal anyway!

6 pointsIt’s back in action. Little better than I found it. Enjoy the YouTube video YouTube Video

5 pointsIn 2017 Traded for unknown Wheel Horse, pictures will follow. It has set in my back yard as unloaded and I have searched all data I could find but have found members here have an eye for detail beyond printed data. Believe I have it narrowed to 1055, 1056, or maybe 1057. How I know it is 10 hp elude me, but in suntanning for last 6 yrs. in my back yard may have bleached engine decal if it had one when it arrived. It is 4 (edited) sp and came with a rope start cord in toolbox under seat fender. Rear axles locked up and shifter will only go back and forth, water probably filled transaxle. Anyway now that I'm getting back to normal, I see potential. Thanks for any help, and as said researched ALL DATA I could find Oh,yes vin ID plate/sticker on tractor and engine missing, painted over, or otherwise missing.

5 pointsSanta, don't be so hard on Karl, he has a full time job keeping us in line. We all believe in you and have been so eagerly anticipating your visit tonight.
-
5 pointsOh great someone else within 3/4 hr drive time buying Wheel Horse's. Just what I need another one infringing on my WH turf.
-
4 pointsThe sickle runs good, minimum shake. However, there is a minor leak from the shaft seal, some Lucas has stemmed it. All in all a good running Horse!

4 pointsThis is an old joke, but it makes me laugh each time I see it. As if my grandfather was Santa... Merry Christmas to you all!

4 pointsAfter 2 failed attempts to get the transaxle case to seal up on "Johnny Cash", I decided to abandon the paper-thin gasket and go with Permatex Ultra-black. I also destroyed a couple 7475 seals at the hydro input shaft before I figured out I had a small bur on the lip of the housing. Ran it up and down the driveway a few times last night and pulled it back in the garage. No visible signs of any leaks. I'm going to get a couple cups of coffee in me before I go out this morning and have a look If it's dry underneath, I'll consider it my 2025 Christmas Miracle!

4 pointsDecember twenty fourth seem like an appropriate day to honor Last-Minute Shopper’s Day Last-Minute Shopper’s Day is a lively celebration for all those who thrive on the thrill of last-minute holiday shopping. This day brings together people who, for various reasons, find themselves rushing to complete their holiday gift lists as the clock ticks down. Some see this as a stressful scramble, while others enjoy the adrenaline rush and the excitement of last-minute deals. It transforms the typical shopping experience into a festive, communal event that embodies the spirit of the holiday season.

4 pointsWe're forecast for 5 to 9 inches depending on who you believe... I figure we'll get either 3 inches or 78 feet.
-
4 pointsYou were forewarned. I Think This Group Might Be Bad For Me Don't blame us, you were forewarned that these Wheel Horses are a bit addictive.

3 pointsSteering wheel says long frame '67. Only models with that wheel were 953/1054 and 66 - 67 longs. Might find a very early 68 Raider with one. BTW those steering wheels are hen's teeth these days. Big battery box is pointing to a 10 or 1257. Very few mid sixties used it... 1076, 1077 & long frame gear jammer '67s. The motor has a tin on it that is not right for the year.. Should have a wrap around on the backside. Any ID plate on the motor that's readable? Dash tag is prolly gone but yes the two rivet holes would be there.

3 pointsWe'll definitely have a white Christmas here in Brunswick. We got almost 17 inches of snow last night, as measured in the middle of the lawn and the center of the driveway...no drifts...(photo below from 7:42 am), and we probably got an additional two or three inches after that, so at least 19 inches in that storm. A portion of the driveway: I still haven't installed the snowblower on the 522xi yet, so I used Mr. Case (our 1987 480E) to clear the driveway. Our power was out for maybe 9 or 10 hours, but the generator kicked in like it was supposed to.

2 pointsThis tractor showed up on the forum back in 2022, Unadvertised Special? (B100) Being an enabler, Dave reached out to me and asked if I would be interested in taking ownership of it We worked out a deal and last Wednesday I drove up to Indiana to pick it up. Thanks Dave! The deal included a snow blower attachment in pretty decent shape. I'm not sure yet whether it's going to be a parts machine, or whether I will try and rebuild it. I suppose a lot depends on the condition of the hydro drive in my other B100. If the hydro drive is ok and both B100 engines run then I will likely rebuild this one. If the hydro drive is bad then I would probably rebuild around the 8-speed and make one good machine. Time will tell.

2 pointsI think it should be a riveted tag? But I'm not sure. @WHX?? or @Achto Do you know?

2 pointsHad a doctor's appointment yesterday for follow up on last week's eye ball rebuild. Was alsoa pre appointment for getting the other eye ball rebuilt early next year. All is going as it should be. I'm finding that i don't really need my glasses when I'm not reading or doing close work - that is taking some getting used to. My current glasses are prescription Z rated safety glasses. Put the side shields on and they are shop ready. I will end up needing reading glasses - which are a pain in the shop. I think i will get a set of Z rated bifocals for shop usewith readers in the bottom half and no correction in the top.

2 pointsHope that RTV doesn't come back to bite you by getting into acceleration valves. I have good results spraying this stuff on the paper gasket.

2 pointsThe other day I picked up a No name 14 from a friend of mine who has been in this hobby a long time. I have been eyeing this machine for the last couple years. I did NOT need another machine by any means but gladly added this one to my collection! Pic right after I got it and once I got it home cleaned up with a new seat!

2 pointsWe had another forecast miss today. “An inch...maybe 2 in a few spots...then rain”. Three to four of “packing snow” on my driveway and it never turned to rain. Made some neighbors happy by doing some of their clearing. Village ordinance requires cleared sidewalks by 12 hours after snow ends. Not clear? They have contractors clear ‘em and bill you. Since I’m pretty sure my next door neighbor and his family are away for the holiday, I put on my “Santa” hat and plowed his 250' walk.

2 pointsA Charlie Brown Christmas has my vote, though I haven't been able to find it on TV this year.

2 pointsBig block Kohler without balance gears, 8 speed transmission, B/C series chassis, and an attachment to start with... That's a great start with no negatives! Congratulations!

2 pointsI agree with Achto that too much weight may cause something mechanical to let go, a little tire slip is not a bad thing. I have a 1979 c-101 with (turf tires and 2 link chains) (best combo in my opinion for snow) 80 lbs on each rear wheel and # 40 chain on fronts for steering. A 10" cement block filled with cement, (weight unknown) on rear and have zero problem pushing as much snow as the plow can handle. It has been set up this way for 40 plus years with no mechanical problems, and has moved tons of western Pa snow ( Laurel Highlands). Bob
-
2 pointsI run tires from a walk behind snow blower on the front, turf tires with chains on the back and no added weight on either end. Very seldom have any issues pushing snow. Different type of plowing. I have a 50lb wheel weight on the right rear wheel, 120lbs of wheel weights on the left rear wheel, and 50lbs hanging out in front of the tractor. I've pulled this plow many miles with very little issue. Weight is helpful, too much can cause mechanical issues. Some thing has to give, if the tires don't give something else eventually will.
