17 pointsI’m 31 miles from home and stopping to top off the petrol tanks. I even stopped in Sandusky, Ohio and picked up a pretty cool walk behind Jacobson sickle mower to deliver to Portage next month!
-
16 pointsThree days at the show and hardly had a chance to get around but I did get some pictures! It was a very memorable and very appreciated show this year! Thank you to the Wheel Horse Collector’s Club and all the volunteers! 103 Photos posted so hang in there!
-
16 pointsIt was a fantastic Wheel Horse Show for 2025, even with all the rainy weather we had in the weeks before which is the time most of us get ready for the show the turnout was fantastic! I got to see both Don and Jeff Kane who are the people that started the Annual Wheel Horse Show and make many new friends. For numbers we had a successful year with way over 1,000 Wheel Horses and the parade was only 10 minutes short of the record of 3 hours long on Friday. I thank you all for coming and enjoying the show. Wild Bill Richmond, VA

15 pointsAnother great time at the show. Nice crowd on Wed. night. @Horse Newbie and his brother Dave joined @rjg854 @buckrancher and Jo for dinner at the Italian Village. @wallfish , Van ( @Wheel-N-It ) and Maria arrived later and then the great trailer repair reality show started at @Ken B's trailer. Better get moving boys! We got a deadline! @stevebo's Taj Mahal Thursday started out nice but breezy. A couple of canopies briefly left the chat. Then later it got cloudy quickly and then the rain and wind hit. Didn't get my canopy down in time so we had to hold er down. Randy took one for the team and we managed to salvage the ship. Might be able to repair the frame. But the "Hospitality Tent " lives on for now. Great hanging out with @Achto and @WHX?? and Jeff ( @sqrlgtr) Visits from @rmaynard Van and @wallfish . @Pullstart or @Pullhosen’s Pony Express depending on the wind direction! Fri had @formariz, @AMC RULES and @Mrs. Rules @Jrblanke and @tunahead72 and @Ed Kennell stop by along with a few stragglers. Dude's gotta eat! Clyde, Scrap the Caddy! Horsin around with "Jay" If you order the special at the Sunrise Diner, you better be hungry ! Couple of Circus Bears on Tricycles! Lots of Doggo's at the show!

15 pointsIt’s not mine, but it is cool! Home safe! Round trip total, minus 10 miles from my previous fill up.
-
12 pointsWell, it would weight both wheels at the same time if you wear it like a necklace! Don't forget your helmet
-
12 pointsMade it home without an issue. Already unloaded. Another great time. Got truck washed & tomorrow I'll finish cleaning it in the comfort of the air conditioned garage. Supposed to start getting severe heat tomorrow. Got grass cut & all yardwork done too

11 pointsThe BBT aka Trina aka The Paint Department has another mo-chine in her Herd. @Sparky owned this coooool conversion for years. I've always thought it was neat. This is Trina's favorite size & shape of tractor. Mid 60s Short frame. 8 HP. Stick shift. And round fenders! Unaware that he was even thinking of selling it.... I mentioned to Sparky that if he ever wanted to, I'd be interested. I then found out he and @Pullstart had agreed to a sale. Not 5 minutes goes by and Kevin sends me a text saying BBT should have this... Mike was even nice enough to deliver it to my momma's place. The Trina person is VERY happy with this rig. She "had to" take it for a short ride immediately. When we get it home it'll be put right to tasks. I believe this will be an immediate go-to favorite of hers. We'll swap wheels & tires to some more aggressive AG rears. I've had a thought of doing this exact conversion to one of our own tractors for several years now. This seat has been patiently waiting. Looks like a perfect place. THANK YOU MIKE AND KEVIN!!

10 pointsDecided to make a thread for getting home safely. We are only a few hours away, but we're very fortunate to have a very boring ride home. Trailer is unhooked. But still need to unload. It was such a great year getting to see so many familiar faces and meeting new friends!

9 pointsAs requested by @Wild Bill in VA - here is his special birthday interview with @c-series don at the start of this year’s tractor parade! IMG_1369.mov

9 pointsFinally new tires and wheels painted. Just mounted them up. I’m happy with it. The wheels aren’t perfect but look good for a worker. Steve

9 points@WHX?? and I had an uneventful drive home. We did pass @ML3 on the road along the way and gave him a beep & a wave. Rolled into Jim's yard about 11:15pm. Unloaded most of his stuff, transferred my stuff to my truck & trailer and headed out. Pulled into my yard at 12:45 and hit the hay. Rolled out of bed around 5:30am so I could get unloaded before the heat hit hard.

9 pointsHome about 11 pm Saturday night! Rodney Burger, Vernon Perry and Lane Ralph took about ten hours! We’ll our trailer was almost empty for tractor , attachments and parts sold on the way home. Emptying truck now! But I am putting on my own show in the front yard as today is the last day of the Putnam County Antique Machinery Association show! I think Friday was the best overall day at the show weather wise, activity and visits with friends I every experienced at the show! i personally thanked Daryl Horning, President of the Wheel Horse Collector’s Club for the great job on this years show and the future efforts he is developing! 9 pointsUnhooked the trailer this morning. I'll keep it loaded for the Fawn Grove Show this week end. I was then able to back the truck in the shop under the hoist and unload the Trac Vac that I bought from @c-series don at the show. I plan to mount this on my dedicated mower, the 310-8 w/ a 42"SD deck. Thought I better get the Brigs running before I mount it on the tractor. I checked the oil, added some fresh fuel, took the air filter off and cleaned the housing. Two squirts of 87 octane down her throat and pulled the string. One half pull and the Briggs roared to life and before I could get it stopped, the blower had covered me and half of the shop with years old rotting duff. Anyway, super pleased that she runs and can't wait to get her on the 310 and put her to work collecting grass.. Thanks Don and Tommy for loading the Vac and the deck.

8 pointsMade it home in time for my wife's birthday party. Our son and daughter-in-law prepared a great meal and had a few friends and family join us.
-
8 pointsMade it home about 8:30 last night. Traffic was light the entire way except a little bit coming into Hartford
-
8 pointsI took videos with my drone, and will work on extracting and editing soon. I’m happy to be home, and might even wait a day or two to unload!
-
7 pointsAlways great to get gifts from Friends. I usually bring a strawberry rhubarb pie for Van ( @Wheel-N-It ) and @Jrblanke. I didn't know they were coming and didn't get one this time But Van brought me a jar of Strawberry Rhubarb jam. And @Lane Ranger I think was just getting rid of stuff so he handed me a " Vintage" 12V revolving light with the box ! I tried out the light on the 857 and it works!
-
7 pointsI know these would have been sold in pairs. Like who in their right mind would buy just one (in walks me!) So which one of you has my lone wheel weight ?? Don’t be shy, chime right in! Bought this lonely weight at the WHS this weekend, pretty sure I’ll never see another single for sale.
-
7 pointsI’m not a big fan of the design, but it was my son and I’s first time and I wanted to make it memorable. It started with getting him a shirt because he liked it but then I got myself one as well.
-
7 pointsJust my . I try to support the organizations that further my hobbies. Buying a hat or t-shirt is a small way to accomplish this.
-
7 pointsI finally learned to operate a vacuum. With 10HP in front and 5 HP behind, I do need to wear ear protection. A littly tricky to get the bolt in that locks the bagger to the drawbar. Made my own deck connection. We're vacuuming grass.
-
7 points@Pullstart Thanks for taking me along Kevin. Next year I plan to be there in person.
-
7 pointsGot home from the Big Show Friday night and reloaded to head West or my Sisters 80th buirthday party this morning. Four hours out, five at the party, and four hours return. A quality day with the family, but I'm pooped.
-
7 pointsHot, sore, sweaty and tired. Mostly unpacked. Took a quick 15 before unloading the trailer and washing the truck (my next task). Safe travels all!
-
6 pointsAn excellent show, and I agree with Lane that the energy on Friday was amazing. I do admire you long-haulers with lots of tractors--I’m practically next door at only 250 miles and my lone 854! I do get to cross three major East Coast rivers, though--Susquehanna, Delaware, and Hudson. Made it home for a late dinner but traffic added about 45 minutes of delays. After dinner I got the trailer unloaded and stored, and the car emptied and then hit the sack.
-
6 pointsEver since they went with those big gaudy pics on the back, I'm not a fan and they're only worn at the show. It's almost like Mimi from the Drew Carey show is the one choosing the design The earlier shirts were much more basic and could be worn all year long
-
6 pointsI heard plenty of comments about never hearing that horn again. Blow it buddy, and live up that childhood memory! Everyone’s baby cries in a restaurant at least once in their life. I was a parent of a young one too. Instead of being annoyed, it makes me remember those glory days.
-
6 pointsHelped the local Scouts by mowing their field. (Power steering, yay!)

5 pointsTook a wander thru the barn where all the nice rigs are. My stuff never makes the cut ! Heres just a few of the beauties inside.
-
5 pointsIt was good to see you and @AMC RULES As for the Wheel Horse Tabernacle Quire serenading Don, I don't think we are ready for prime time TV.
-
5 pointsMrs. Rules, your quote at the very end said it the best! This is so awesome! Wild Bill Richmond, VA
-
5 pointsI do agree with you all and I have seen unfavorable remarks on other forums about this design as well. Yes, I do purchase the shirts every year to donate to the club and collect for myself. My understanding is that design was generated by AI, Stephen Hawkins the renown astro physicist warned us to beware of AI and I can see why. Wild Bill Richmond, VA

5 pointsGot home. Got unloaded. Assimilated Trina's new ride into the Herd. She's been calling it "Sparky"
-
5 pointsToday I took apart my original seat, it looked like a pancake so I cleaned all the old stuff out of it and re-stuffed it the best I could. I’m not good with these type of things but it looks ok for what it is.
-
5 pointsPssstt I coulda walked that ... Texting with RJG on the way home and said Dan was driving we're all gonna die. He says save the horses... Passed someone in a little white pickup in Western PA on 76 with a open trailer full of nice shiny ones. Was wondering who that might have been?
