12 pointsAs an Army vet (CW2) myself, I think they should do things like this more often, and for all the armed forces. It can be done tastefully and tactfully, and the members of our military should be celebrated. We should never forget who ensures our freedoms.

7 pointsSince I acquired my C-160 and several attachments a few years ago, the one attachment that I had not used is the Mighty Mac shredder. After I cultivated the garden, I got the Mighty Mac out of the corner of the shed and commenced to mounting it on the front of the tractor, then used it to grind up some straw. It worked well one the dry stuff, of course, but a lot of my straw pile is wet/damp, so I will probably compost that. All in all, it was a fun afternoon.

7 pointsHi all, Happy Father's Day, cleaned up the fuel pump for my 856 . Ordered a kit from Now and Then . Had a bunch of crud in it, couple cycles in ultrasonic cleaner and then put both halfs of housings on glass and sandpaper, 220 grit. Put some blue marker on and moved it around in figure 8s you can see the progress in pic's. Put more marker on last pass on 800 grit , cleaned up nicely,. Used 220, 400, 800 grit sandpaper

6 pointsHad to take three of of these out of my enclosed trailer to load reload with the tractors I’m going to take to the Big Show. Figured I’d snap a few pictures for you guys!

6 pointsIn a few weeks this'll be BBT's new ride. It's settin' at my mom's for now. HUGE thanks to @Pullstart and @Sparky

6 pointsThe age of the machine is immaterial, it is the outside-the-box thinking that many of us appreciate. Though we may never build one ourselves we admire this type of engineering.

5 pointsBought this new in 99. Wish it was in the garage still. GREAT truck. Simple, 350 ci auto, 2500 short bed , loaded. Sold it to a friend who just got rid of it a year or two ago.
-
5 pointsComplete agreement. I will add one remark however: My father, when speaking of me always said "I wouldn't take a million dollars for him, nor give a nickel for another one just like him"... Happy Father's day to all us dads out there, in whatever capacity you do the father thing!
-
5 pointsWe celebrated Fathers Day yesterday in combination with my Youngest Grandsons graduation from Penn State. My gift put me in the fishing mood. So, on this rainy Fathers Day, I made up another half dozen striper tube lures.

5 pointsIndeed, a great many of us get to walk in the footsteps of great fathers, grandfathers, great grandfathers and even men who were strong father figures. Lucky us. I count myself hugely blessed to have been entrusted with children.

5 pointsI'm watching the Army 250 Parade on Fox News currently, you might want to try finding it on other networks if you can.
-
5 pointsToday I marked out and cut the slots for the throttle and choke on the upper dash of the C-141. I have one side pretty close to done. But I still need to tweak the other side. I also ran the choke to the engine which still needs to be tweaked as well.

4 pointsI don't think it will ever stop raining. My yard looks like an uncut interstate highway median... I am not complaining about the rain. Maybe just the intensity, duration, and number of times it's come in the past 10 days... Oh well, it gave me time to paint my wheels. I stole @Sparky Mike's wheel paint color and I like it! None of my wheel weights will fit the fronts, so I ran the valve stems on the outside. And for any who are curious, Rustoleum crystal clear works fine over Krylon. Sprayed it on immediately just as you would over Rustoleum.

4 pointsI used the 316-8 and home made equipment to remove the grass, This is what it looks like now. Didn't get any befor pictures, but it was getting bad along the edges, and starting to take over the center. Used this ripper along the edges and down the center and the prlveriser over the rest of it.

4 pointsHappy Father's Day to all dads..... and remembering our dads who have passed...... (I sure miss mine..... but he lasted for 95-1/2 years.... passed 2.5 yrs ago).
-
4 pointsI am a cat daddy to three insane cats. This morning the little boy cat coughed up a hairball, does that count as a Father's Day gift?
-
4 pointsI will NOT be making the Wednesday night dinner this year. Too much going on at work. However, I will be taking a half day Thursday and coming up. So I will be setting up a tent on Thursday night and I'll be at the show all day on Friday. Van is coming with a female friend, but I do not know what day they are coming.

4 pointsMy boy took me fishing yesterday. He's 12, but it's his boat, he drove (the boat, I drove to and from the lake), and he did all the catching. The boat in question is a canoe my grandfather bought in the 70s when they lived on the lake in Oconomowoc Wisconsin right after he graduated from seminary. He never learned to swim, and was afraid of the water most of his life, but he had three young boys, and in that time and place to have boys also meant you needed a boat, so he bought an aluminum canoe. Then about 10 years ago he gave it to me because "you are the only one that uses it anymore, and getting it registered is too complicated" (because PA genuinely makes it hard to register a boat that is in someone else's name). Then last year after I bought my bigger bass boat I gave it to my boy.

4 pointsNational Prune Day is celebrated on June 15 every year. On this day, the many health benefits of these dried plums are highlighted. Prunes are incredibly rich in fiber, vitamin A, and cancer-fighting antioxidants. What’s more, they’re also good for your vision and digestion. It also helps prevent muscular degeneration and night blindness. But don’t be deceived — there are many ways to eat this fruit. If you’re not a fan of its texture, discover different ways to consume them. From cakes, and juices, to salads, this is the time to be creative in incorporating prunes into your diet.

4 pointsLooks like I'm gonna make it to show after all. Finally things managed to work out where I can sneak away for a few days. Plan to bring some of my tractors if I can get some preventive maintenance done on my trailer in time. Airbnb we stayed at last year was available.
-
4 pointsI'm right there too, they are doing a great job of covering the history of the US Army. I think C Span is also covering it.
-
4 pointsGot help beefing up the hinges that join the forward and rearward decks on my son’s folding utility trailer. Friend used his lathe to take material off the bold head, shorten the nut, and prep the ends of the DOM tubing I used to make the pivot bushing.
-
4 pointsMy 414-8 with the 42” RD I recently cleaned up. If it stops raining here someday I’ll give a try
-
3 pointsWorked on a ton of Chevy trucks. There wasn't a bad year in the bunch until recently. The 88-95's were awesome. Simple, dependable TBI engines without a bunch of crap hanging off the engine unlike Ford. I had a 94 K1500 and wish I still had it.
-
3 pointsSo today I washed and cleaned the interior of my 1998 Silverado Z71 K 1500 getting it ready for the trip nawth to The Big Show. I must say the interior looks great for a 27 year old truck with 282,600 miles. It will be at the Big Show. First $75,000 takes it home.

3 pointsFREE at the BIG SHOW this week! Make sure to come to Lane Ralph’s Canopy and get your FREE front Wheel Horse hub covers - courtesy of Nestle Coffee Creamer and Lane Ralph’s coffee drinking!
-
3 pointsThat looks exactly like my stand-alone unit minus the frame, engine, wheels, and the poorly designer tow bar that’s always in the way. The Briggs on it is not rated by horsepower nor displacement; 11.5 foot/pounds torque, IIRC. They’re super handy machines.

3 pointsIt don't get and better then this. I put brass lined heims joints on my C-120 in 1989 they are still tight. I used 1/2" heims joint and bushed them down to 3/8" to fit in the original holes on the triangle and spindle arms. When I got my 520-H in 2019 I used the two from the spindles on my C-120 for the triangle of my 1989 520-H for the triangle on it. I had bought the new 1/2" heims joints with 1/2" stud installed. the spindle arms I drilled out and tapped for the fine tread studs on bothe tractors and also used 1/2" jam nuts on the arms. There is still no loose play in the tierods. Here is the set I put on the 520-H, they may have cost a few dollars more, but they are worth it.

3 pointsAWESOME! The Mackissic we restored here has earned a permanent place on the front of one of my own C160s for the foreseeable future.

3 pointsOh yeah, there is plenty of interest! We like to see fabrication. A little or a lot, it makes us all grin!
-
3 pointsAre you brining this one to the Show? If you’ve been posting on this before not sure, i wasn’t going to show anything just sell some stuff. the machine is a 522xi on a cadtrac style sub frame. i don’t think i posted a build thread, not much interest here on the newer machines.

3 pointsAre you brining this one to the Show? If you’ve been posting on this before, I’ve missed it but I can see that this is a “skin deep” Wheel Horse and I’m hoping to get a much closer look!

3 pointswired the back lights on Artie, still need to put the hood together and install. Decals from Redo need placed on side covers I will probably build the loader next winter.
