11 pointsCookie lovers and peanut butter lovers unite to celebrate National Peanut Butter Cookie Day on June 12! The key ingredients of peanut butter cookies are peanut butter, sugar, and eggs — and in their simplest form, that’s all that you’ll need. Peanut butter cookies are incredibly easy to make, and if you’re a peanut butter lover, they always hit the spot.

7 pointsThe '76 C120, a rescue and in the shed for years, is finally getting to work again. Went through the engine and trans long ago. The 42RD is clean and on new bearings. It does look its age and has had a hard life. Label says it was purchased in Joplin MO. Handed down a generation - the boys fully expect it to never give up and the meadow can use a mow. Don't blame the bros for not mowing. It was like this when they closed.

7 pointsHad my colonoscopy Tuesday, when we got home my wife made me a couple dozen of these, my favorite. After I finish this I going to go get me 3 or 4 and glass of milk.

7 pointsBeen a bit distracted with a complicated cabinet installation in my kitchen and finally got around to starting this this evening. Never done it before...from a 1976 c-160, unmolested pump and motor. Surprisingly good condition for being 50 y/o. Cleaned up nicely. 320, 600, 1000 grit. A few dimples but should be strong. Have all of the gaskets and stuff now so I'm looking forward to getting it back together.

6 pointsMegan is gonna need a snow plow for those Connecticut winters. Put the bracket on the back I had lying around. Also when I bought this tractor, the PO had a switch in the dash that was wired to nothing, so removed the switch and replaced with a black cap.

6 pointsStormy came home for a day or two. I had a tiller posted for sale. Neighbor Henry said if I can make it work, he’ll buy it!

5 points79 C-101 Pretty much finished up my first and probably last try at restoration , sure is a lot of time and work but fun. The 10hp was just too far gone so opted for a k301 gen start with out shaker . I did a shade tree rebuild on a couple yrs ago. Just needs a decent set of rear tires ,I’ll look for those at the big show coming up. Now time to put it to work !

5 pointsMy 23x9.50-12’s came in on Tuesday, yesterday was Craftsman day, so this morning I took the 22x9.50-12’s off the rims (these were the nicest inside of rims I have ever seen!) and put on the new 23x9.50-12’s, I like the look a lot better than the smaller tires and the AG’s. All brand new tires on an old machine, I think it identifies as a 416 now!

5 pointsBringing the earliest Wheel Horse 4 wheel tractor cultivator to sell! Here are pics and a copy of the original Wheel Horse Manual for yhe AC-7 Cultivator. The round knob in the center adjusts the width of the cultivator when bolts are loosened. The two guide wheels assist with keeping the cultivation in line when operating. These things are hard to find! $175 at the Big Show.

5 pointsDepending on who you ask, two or three of those ingredients are good for you so I'm going to go ahead and call peanut butter cookies nutritious.

5 pointsAfter we tossed the new belt on, we buttoned things up and pushed it aside. When a need arose to drive it, the belt was slipping bad enough to act like it was in neutral. I taught Brenen how to adjust the linkage a bit, and last night it took right off. His first drive!

4 pointsGreetings Everyone. I find myself unfortunately in a position many of you have been in: dealing with the dreaded hi-lo shift fork, so I just joined this forum so I could pass on my frustration. I have a 78 C-121 which has a 103916 8 speed tranny. I used the low range multiple times last summer pulling my boat in and out of the garage. Never an issue. Last December we had a 2' snowstorm when the Horse quit. Thought it was a head gasket but it turned out to be a stuck exhaust valve. I parked it in the barn and went to Florida til May1st. I just finished the total rebuild of the Kohler and it now runs great. As I was doing the break-in run, I tried to put it in LO and was unsuccessful. I tried several times after rocking it back and forth with no success so I hung it up, cussed a few times at the Horse and put it away. I don't know what caused it but rather than damaging it anymore, I figured I was going to have to split the case. So I'm looking for parts and this is where I get frustrated. First, I thank everyone for all the knowledge they've shared on this site. I've spent hours reading and watching repair vids whether or not they pertain to me. I just love the "mechanics" of it all. Thanks, @stevasaurus for all your work recording transmission teardowns. Excellent work. Looks like I’ll be watching those again. My frustrations as I look for parts for the tranny teardown are availability of parts. I've read many posts that say to just buy new parts but they were posted around 2018. I’ve found a seal kit at Wheelhorse containing 4 seals: 2 for the axles, one for the input and one for the brake shaft. Cost of 50 bucks. Is this for real? I tried finding each one separately and found the cost to be nearly the same. Any ideas or responses? Is this what seals cost these days? I also need the hi/lo shift fork which I cannot find anywhere, except used on ebay. I see no sense in replacing broken parts with used ones if given the choice. Are there no aftermarket manufacturers making these shift forks or am I just not seeing the sites online? I see no support of any kind from Toro. No offering of parts for older machines or a suggestion of where to find them. Can anyone direct me to somewhere I can purchase a new shift fork?

4 pointsThat switch was put there by Q to control either the ejection seat or the front-firing machine guns. I guess neither was there when you got the tractor. Sigh.

4 pointsSeveral weeks ago I picked up this park bench project for $5 at the auction. My SIL saw it and said " I wish I had one". Well, last week I got another one for $5. I had to make all new slats and got it finished today. I'll deliver it Saturday for her 50th anniversary.

4 pointsI bought those 14" 4 lug wheels and tires from Charlie Culley. When I bought that 953 it only had one wheel. I made one to get it on the trailer. I have chains that would work well on those bald snow tires Chuck.

4 pointsCommercial No bells and whistles and a heavier front end plus they go a little faster than the average tractor.

4 pointsUsing a 7/8” wrench, we loosened the nut on the steering cross shaft, turned the plug in the bottom of the steering gear in a bit, and the steering tightened up significantly! Another one is ready for the show!

4 pointsShell Rotella 30 wt or 10w30 for the engine For the transmission use &0w90 gear oil. WAL-MART store brand is good since these are not fancy transmissions. There is an Allen head drain plug under the transmission just in front of the rear hitch. Clean the Allen socket head out good so the Allen wrench goes all the way in and doesn’t strip out. This is a tapered pipe thread Allen. So don’t over tighten when reinstalling. Put some teflon tape on it. There is a hump in the middle of the transmission. So When you drain it lift up the front of the tractor as high as you safely can. If the oil you drain out is whiteish gray or creamy brown it has some water in it. The diesel flush is a good way to clean any watery oil out if needed.

3 pointsThis thing is a terrible design. The funnel is located around the neck underneath the spring loaded cap. Trying to pour gas into anything, without spilling where the funnel attaches to the neck, is almost impossible. You can not attach a nozzle, like it should have been design, due to no threads on the neck, the spring loaded cap, etc. If anyone here is in the market for a good metal gas can, this ain't it.

3 pointsIf a retaining ring has come off take a good look at it before putting it back on or replacing it. When they are made they are often stamped so one side has rounded edges and the other is sharp. The sharp side has more holding power so in this case the sharp side should face the inner end of the axle.
-
3 pointsIt’s a Safety Can alright… How can there be accidents if no one is using them ? 🤣
-
3 pointsIt’s getting there, got a little more to do still. One thing I do like is the gas consumption compared to the Onan’s!

3 pointsI have seen deer straddle the stalks as they walk down a row of field corn pushing the corn down with their chests so they can easily reach and bite off the tops of the young ear. When my Amish neighbor bought this farm six years ago and planted the corn, he strung one strand of this electric fence tape between the woods and the field. He put a glob of peanut butter every 4-5 feet. He only needed it the first year and I have not seen a deer in the corn since.

3 pointsGot us another new tent to try out. The frame and top are something we had already. It's the interior tent portion that's new. Measures about 9 ft 6 across each side on the interior. The best part is, I can stand up and walk around at any point inside this. Corner to corner. Most tents don't allow you to do that because they are shaped in a curve.

3 pointsLooks like carriage bolts are what will be used to fasten them to the floor. I'd suggest countersinking them deep enough that Tina or her mom could use a square point shovel to scrape the floor and not catch the side of the D ring assembly or the carriage bolts.

2 pointsYou actually think I didn't think of that?!!! Makes no difference. I used a funnel and still have spilling. If you have ever used one, you would know why.

2 pointsI am ok with this advice for 8-speeds, but for hydros that circulate the transaxle oil, I would avoid tape lest a stray piece go where it wouldn’t be welcome.

2 pointsMy 4.0 V6 4×4 Tacoma drinks less gas than an Onan. With a 310-8, you'll find yourself checking the fuel tank regularly, with a smile on yer face!

2 pointsWhether I drill a through hole 🕳 or make a pocket I'd planned on a flush set for the assembly. Good idea on the shovel. That's a realistic possibility. There was someone on YT that mentioned going to get appliances as his own example. I mentioned that to Trina. Her response was a reminder that it would be more stable for getting boards if the deck was still flat. It also greatly reduces the opportunity for a tripping hazzard.

2 pointsIm sure she wasnt happy. My grandfather owned 2 Cadillac dealerships in the 1970s- late 1990s so I always drove Cadillacs. When I was 19yrs old & still living at home I took off my wire wheel covers & put them into dishwasher to clean them. My mom was furious! When my dad got home she was even more mad cause he thought it was a great idea & did the same with his! 🤣
