13 pointsInstall of the new tires and HD wheels and Spindles is complete. I bought the 310-8 from @Sparky for my daughter when she gets her house. Like all 310’s it came with 6” rims which made it look like a little tractor. I put a wanted ad in and received a response from @grinchsr and @ebinmaine for spindles and rims. Eric only had a set of HD spindles with rims and was gracious enough to send them down to me. Taking advantage of the deal @RED-Z06 found on the 8” tires, I was able to complete the new front for the 310-8, looks more proper now I think. Thank you to all of you for your help with this! Now I just need the HD hub caps!

9 pointsA willow tree fell down so I started to cut it up. I cut some weeds down with my 953 sickle because the bugs and locusts were attacking me. I really need some 14 inch ags or 15 inch wheels with ags. Those bald snow tires get stuck too often The 953 stalled and the electric fuel pump quit. I took the shifter plate off and tapped it with a socket wrench hammer and it started running so I was able to get it to the garage I guess I should put a new fuel pump on it too.

9 pointsmaybe I've gotten on my knees a time or 2 LOL My daughter came walking around the corner of the house at the exact time when I was on my knees pressurizing a rear tank 418-C. She says "Oh my God, you're #$%#^%& your tractors now" then turned around and walked away before I could explain. LOL

8 pointsI found this 520-H (1993) with a 60 inch deck, 48 inch snow blade, Wheel Horse badged plastic wheel weights, chains , hub caps and a set of NOS mower blades. It has a local history and the PO is happy to see it go to a good home. Now there are some issues but i have to look it over. The price was good to be true. I have to say the deck is the heaviest ive ever wrestled around and ive done my share. I thought i was going to blow my back out trying to load it. Second pic shows a much easier method😀.

8 pointsUpsy Daisy Day is celebrated on June 8 every year, encouraging you to allow positivity into your life. Yes, there can be the occasional bumps in the journey of life that may leave us demotivated and stressed. However, if we express gratitude every day and believe that each day is a gift to us, we can carry on with a positive attitude and overcome any challenges. The actions we take and the choices we make when we decide how to react to a particular event are what can make or break us. It is fairly effortless to be grateful for the blessings that we have been given. There will be times when life really challenges us but it is up to us to be able to see the light at the end of the tunnel. But unless we do not try to adopt an optimistic attitude, we will not be able to achieve the utmost happiness in life. Once we do try, we might be surprised at how good it feels to be optimistic.

7 points@Pullstart ..I know a guy that got himself addicted to that move.. claims he’s “pressurizing the tank” and says “I can quit anytime I want”
-
7 points$5000 for the 400 fish we stocked and $1500 in prizes minus the $200 I made cleaning fish. We're still out $6300. It comes out to around $100 per Kid. Well worth it for those $100 smiles.

6 pointsThursday my C81 was acting up. I found water in the carb bowl. I pulled and cleaned the tank, had about 4 table spoons of water in the bottom. Amazed I'm admitting this, but it requited "Extra Pressure" to get gas to start pumping. No, I didn't tell my wife what else my lips had touched.
-
6 pointsDid you give your wife top billing on things your lips will touch because she will probably see this video, or because you lover her even more than Wheel Horses?

6 pointsKevin must really love that tractor if he's that excited to b*** it! That old 12 hp seems pretty happy to have Kevin too!

5 pointsI must have some form of obsessive compulsive attention deficit hyperactive disorder. My plan last night was to paint the engine blower cover to match the red paint I'm using, and touch up the valve covers (and adjust the valves), and get the engine back on the tractor. Unfortunately the engine that I was thinking of using is gonna need a complete teardown and cleaning up. Probably new rings as well. That engine came from a friend's stuff and it has water in the heads. So I had another Vanguard that was partially disassembled, so I went through it and built it up. I started last night and before I knew it the bleeping birds were singing this morning. But now I have an engine ready to run. Just needs two quarts of oil and it's ready to go! And my sorry behind is gonna take a nap. I'm too old for this silliness! The pic of the piston below is just to show how clean these engines are. Forgive the sharpie marks I had on it. They originally ran on propane, and they are very clean internally. For now at least!

4 pointsFinished up this morning- mostly yesterday spread 5 yards of #57 riverstone. Going to build a pergola onto side of shed with a bar & fireplace. Spread stone for pergola area, walkway to her she shed, & stone up at her prayer garden. Open area between garage & where pergola will be Im going to build a stand for one of my hit/miss engines. Ill have a custom canvas made to protect it. Sore today.....Im getting too old for all that hard work. My 22yr old son helped & 9yr old kid next door really worked hard too so I paid him.

4 pointsThe spindles for the 6” tires are longer than those for the 8”, so when changing the wheels from 6” to 8”, need to change to the 8” spindle to keep the height the same. RED-Z06 also pointed out that the 310 had 22” rear tires, where the others have 23”. So in effect, changing the 6” to 8” front wheels and spindles and 22” to 23” tall rear tires it is the same as tractors such as the 416.

4 pointsThat’s a great upgrade! Agree about the 6” fronts looking lousy on a full size GT

4 pointsToday my son's scout troop had their big end of year event. Typically you have to be "registered" with the troop (at least have child abuse clearances on file) to attend any over-night event. The end of year celebration is typically a camp out that goes from Friday night into Sunday afteroon, and is one of two over-night events the fathers can attend and stay over-night. They do skits, activities to showcase the outdoor skills they learned that year, and Saturday night is a camp-fire with the end of year award ceremony where they receive the pins, badges, and other awards they earned since January. The end of year ceremony also involves a "bridging" where Trailmen who are advancing levels do a ceremonial walk across a bridge, and the new troop leadership are announced. Due to issues with boys leaving after the Saturday night ceremony and not having enough hands to break camp efficiently the last two years they changed it up a little. Instead of a camp out, the middle and high school aged trailmen setup and ran a carnival type deal for the younger boys and families, which was also used as a fund-raiser for their big bi-annual trip next summer. This one was very exciting for me, because my son finished all his badge work for this year, bridged to the next level, and received his leveling award for the elementary level, the "Timberline Award". This is not something that one just falls into by showing up, it involves a lot of other work outside regular meetings. From the organization's website: So I am really proud of all that he accomplished this year. Unfortuantely I don't have any good pictures from the ceremony that don't have a bunch of other people's kids in them as well, and I don't want to post their faces since I don't have permission. I just have this one of his back when he accepted his Timberline patch:

3 pointsSame here at 44/5. My job is tiring especially when we’re busy. And I like to be at least moderately busy when I’m home. The 12 miles I’ve walked in the last two days hopefully contributes to me lasting as long as my 90+ year old Grandparents did.

3 pointsThis was mostly yesterday, but I'm about to go work on it some more and obviously have a ways to go. After evaluating the available "pre-fab" picket fence panels, I decided to build this fence from scratch. We want it to be 5-1/2 feet tall and nobody makes one that size, or with the 1-1/2" gap between the pickets. Got a new air nailer to make it easier, probably saving $1000 over what it would cost otherwise (doing around 100' of fence - at least for now....)

3 pointsOh, and with the HD spindles, I was able to use thrust bearings for easier turning (actually I don’t notice any difference, but it has bearings there now).
