Scrolling on fb market place i found a post that says 25.00 for wh attachments so I figured what the heck don't need em but they are cheap. Got a older tiller, a snow blade and frame, a really nice complete d snowblade, and this d snowblower. The body is alot better shape than the one I have but I kinda like how this one mounts! May have to see what I can do with it.

I am not getting on that thing with Skunky , he would throw up half eaten BBQ all over me.

You need to make a PTO driven version so you can just sit and watch them turn green! Maybe an 8-speed so you can keep score.

Picked up a Brinley rear back blade and this afternoon put it to work! I put it on the c-145 with hydraulic lift and did some grading and leveling off in the woods were the water runs and it made a trench when we had heavy rain so I hooked the blade to the c-145 and did some grading around that corner. Look’s definitely a lot better than before! And got seat time! First time the c-145 has been run since I took the tiller off. IMG_9906.mov

Wouldn't smaller tires rotate the axles faster for a given ground speed? You just wanted to see @elcamino/wheelhorse and @squonk launched into orbit faster.

I imagine with a little ingenuity it could have a secondary drive system to invert the rider too. Like a real circus ride!

Nah, go big or go home. Use a 4:10 ratio axle!!

Nearly every town has a lawnmower repair shop that has a bunch of parts tractors around. They can be a source of good used tires at an extremely reasonable price.

If you got those for five bucks you better go play the lottery because today is your lucky day!!

You guys need to quit messin around. Dana 60 axles can have a 7(+):1 ratio. Get a splitter. Go 14 to 1. Park an adventurous human or two on there and GET BACK!

My brother-in-law was a big bourbon sipper. When he'd come to visit from West Virginia, I'd always have something here for him to drink. I don't drink alcohol any longer, so not knowing any better, I just decided to get a bottle of Wheel Horse. He poured some into a glass, didn't say anything, but I noticed that bottle was not touched again. After he left, I decided to taste the stuff. I used the rest of the bourbon for paint stripper.

I've never found a place in Indiana that carries it and I've never tasted it but I did want a bottle to display. Somehow this found a way into my truck when I made the Elgin road trip to pick up the Dino C-121.

If you're going gear reduction, you'll need the upper steering shaft ( or at least the bottom of it ) to match up with the gear reduction pieces. Also, as stated above the 300 thru 500 frames all interchange but a 520 frame will have a reinforced plate in front of the transmission. I'm not sure if all of the 300 thru 500 frames have the holes in them for the gear reduction unit, I think only the later ones do....nothing a drill won't fix.

Ginkgos might be my favorite tree. Yours both are beautiful. They’re known as living fossils, virtually unchanged since the time of the dinosaurs. Their leaves are unique in many ways. Distinctive fan shapes. My college has a stand of ginkgos lining the sidewalk that leads to the library. It is spectacular in the fall. The trees are pushing 100 years old now and have an incredible presence. They create an amazing carpet when they dump all their leaves. (Picture is of those trees I nabbed from the web) I never heard of ginkgos changing gender, but they do take a long time to reach maturity before they fruit. A family friend who is a botanist indicated that this delayed maturity frustrates landscapers and homeowners who are treated to a beautiful tree for 20 years that all of a sudden develops acrid smelling fruit. Fortunately, it’s not a long season for that. Pretty lumber too. Fantastic trees! Steve

Hydraulic valve assembly ready to install. Valve and hoses all have new O rings installed. Lockwashers shown were not used. Bracket bolted to hydraulic valve. Hydraulic hoses hooked up between valve and cylinder.

The short answer is, yes... but. The question is really, with what modifications? A 1056 does not have steps where your feet go and that's how the brackets are attached at the front to hold the forward part of the cab frame including the door hinge assembly. Also, the steering Tower of a 1977 or older machine is angled backwards at the bottom whereas from 1978 and up it was vertically perpendicular to the frame. It's possible that the canvas may need an addition to account for that place.

I've got an old 4:11 out back somewhere if you need one, and I'd slap some 13" tires on it. like my man said "go big or go home"

I have had good results using the Tractor Supply 5/8 by 82 inch belt, they are generally in stock at the store, no shipping, no delay. https://www.tractorsupply.com/tsc/product/huskee-v-belt-5-8-in-x-82-in-oc-4461826?store=2326&cid=Google-Shopping-Sustain&utm_medium=Google&utm_source=Shopping&utm_content=Sustain&gad_source=1&gclid=CjwKCAiA6aW6BhBqEiwA6KzDc_JHPjRIBAd9XOYmblAE7GWJ7aUPM9RxmRDMKdDaRYNoGP7B80JSzxoCm9QQAvD_BwE

I’ve been absent again but I’m still picking away. My repowered 12 automatic (18hp Briggs and Stratton vanguard v twin) was running like garbage so I cleaned the carb and fixed a ground kill wire leading to the front coil that I saw the mice had chewed. Took it out to do a load of firewood and it sounded off and had no power. Come to find out I had no spark on the back cylinder. I replaced both wires and then had no spark whatsoever. Confused I dug into the repair manual and surfed the internet. Turns out there are diodes in the coil ground kill wires. Reached out to a friend who has a repair shop and he had a junk engine that had the wire on it. Plugged it in and it’s back up and running on both cylinders. I decided it’s going to be my firewood/ back up plow tractor for the winter. Just need to install a plow on it if one of @WheelHorse_Kid‘s tractors or his brothers 856 fail on us but I don’t see that happening. Also got my fiancé’s little guy and my dog who I’m trying to get more comfortable in the garage out there with me.

For 312 and 518++ we simply replaced the headlights with LEDs and branched the same switched circuit (comes off the A terminal at the ignition switch) to a rear-facing work light. bar that has its own switch (headlights must be on for work light to get juice). @ebinmaine’s direct-to-battery setup lessens the chance that he'd see flicker in the illumination. LEDs react much, much more quickly to power fluctuation than those “heated wire” incandescent lamps. Tractors with without voltage regulators (i.e. plain diodes) are more susceptible to this. It shouldn’t be an issue with the higher AC output and voltage regulators on the 10hp and up recent tractors (C’s and the 00’s). Note that LEDs are polarized, unlike incandescents. The battery source must go to the “+” terminal and the “-“ to ground. Backwards? No light at all!

Good looking rig overall. I'm no expert on the big Onan. The carb is an easy rebuild. The intake does tend to leak over time. To fix the intake requires care and patience. There's a thread for looking at and or repair/restoration. Use this on the first section for "before purchasing". This is awesome! BBT aka Trina aka My Other Half has been tossing around the idea of a small round hood Lawn Ranger for our new grandbaby. He's a good strong almost 5 months old.
