I was talking to a friend of mine and I know some of you on here as well as me collect tractors of few colors. I have a friend selling off part of his collection of about 150 tractors. I like wheel horses he had one on that he was not letting go. Springfield's and small tractors, the smaller they are the more neat they are to me and he offered me a few, one of witch was a bonanza, they made tractors for about a 10 or 12 year long run I think, I may be wrong. the one im buying is one of their truck type tractors that have a small bed on them like a truck and the one I'm getting is a shortbed and I don't know if it is harder to find or anything I've acctually not seen a actual picture of it I am getting the bonanza, a huffy, a little craftsman and a Springfield 36, a good size haul to add onto the collection I'm shure I'll post more about it

If I remember correctly, he broke that hub while plowing about 9yrs ago. I gave him a new hub but it was 1 1/8" so it would not work. He said he took his old hub to shop class in high school and repaired it. Guessing this was the repair they came up with.

I seldom post after 8:00 pm and now there is scientific evidence that we men probably should think twice about doing anything involving thought after 8:00 pm. Believe me, it is making me fidget as well but I know that I will need something to keep me entertained during the winter so I will wait. I could likely assemble the entire thing in a day or two but I will try and make it last as long as possible. Taking lots of pictures and posting them to Redsquare also takes time and keeps me occupied.

Hood, Fender, side covers, engine tins patiently waiting in the storage building. Paint will be well cured by the time these get installed over the cold winter months.

Save it! They are great Wheel Horse tractors! They helped revolutionize mowing and yard work. First 48 inch mower deck, 54 inch snowplow.dozer blade and they could not make enough of them!

@Pullstart My current weight is 138. I was about 165 at the 2023 big show. They do want me to gain gain weight that is why I can't go back to work for two weeks and eat 6 times each day he said my body is using more trying to heal.

Fer sure... Must Have messed up the key way, cut the bore off and drilled and tapped. Either that or he was trying to run a implement off the rear wheel ... Gotta like the cut off teeth to clear the studs... Think I'm just gonna run it like I stole it...

I had a follow up visit with the surgeon today. The pathology report shows no more cancer in the lymph nodes but there was in the tumor removed. Due to my energy level and weight loss (138 lbs) as of today I cannot return to work for two more weeks. He also told me they would like me to have more chemo to insure the cancer will not return. I have an appointment with the oncologist Oct. 7 to see what the plan will be.

They came from this bumper assortment kit. It is this one. It is slightly too small so it does not snap into the hole as tight as I would like so I put a light coat of silicone on the bumper then popped it into the hole. Nice and secure now. Once the fender is in place it would be held as well.

Before digging too deep check the valve pushrods making sure they did not jump ship.

Body is solid with no rot. I got push plow with it. He had a one bottom plow but his friend wanted it.

Not my Wheel Horse, but there is a C-141 with a deck, plow, chains, and weights outside the local hardware store. It is on consignment for $1100. Seems a little steep to me. It has been there for about a year. Poor thing is fading in the weather. Part of me says make make an offer and save it. The other part of me says that I have more than enough projects already, and no place to keep it or time to work on it.

It’s from Harbor Freight. I got the idea from Don’s (@Lee1977) build. Works very well!

Looks like fun. During yesterday's family gathering, I was telling my brother in law about the Allis Chalmers B10 I picked up this summer. He did a restoration on one probably 20 years back. His wife joins the conversation with 'you want another Wheel Horse?' My wife chimes in with 'NO!' I immediately point out to my wife that Horses are herd creatures, while noticing that my brother in law is looking at his wife with a 'I don't believe you just said that, and where did it come from' expression on his face.

Always fun but especially so when you get another youngin hooked on our beloved Tractors. This was the third time today, kept asking for more ! I told her I could go all day and not get tired of Tractors, little one was thinking the same thing.

I've had this 1267 up for sale for a while. Had about 30 inquiries on FBMP but nobody would commit to even coming to look. Finally a guy from the snow belt said he wanted to come ASAP. He's been wanting a WH or an old Cadet for a while. Took one look and said "I want it! " Then started asking about attachments. I said I had a snow blower that I was thinking about selling as we haven't gotten snow in 3 years. Plus I have the PK Loader and an Ariens walk behind. Showed him the Tall Shoot and he said how much? Shot him a price and he said OK. I had to get it mounted up so I can show him how it goes on. I had to build the PTO pulley out of parts as the pulley on it was for a 1/2" belt and the blower uses a 5/8".

Whose idea was this?!?!? Obviously wrong rim offset for a & wacked the axle bracket every go round. Small wonder tires don't hold air ... nice very wide tires tho may have to find some correct rims & shoe a different horse. Good fender clearance for 25-10-12 tires.

That probably explains why prime time TV network programing is so mind numbing.

I've done this years ago just by installing a newer style coil and leaving all the old ignition bits (points, plunger, etc) in place. Be sure you have the proper side of the coil facing towards the engine. I have a complete 16hp engine if you need those parts.

Spent the day yesterday working on getting some stuff cleaned up out of the driveway before the leaves fall. I got some of the herd put up for winter too. Trying to get wheelhorse_kid to put projects that he didn’t get to away now before it snows.

Never heard of Paul's Garage. 685- is an Omro phone number for sure. Looks like the sprocket may have been used to repair the hub??

Picked up the 1054 yesterday. All body there except clutch side panel and front/rear lense covers. Gentleman said he had it running 5yrs ago but he hasnt messed with it since but has been stored in shed until 3wks ago. Hydraulics worked at that time also. Think i am going to leave as it is paint wise, clean rims up, get new front tires and get seat redone.

The PO of my 312-8 did the same thing to the starter. Once it was running after jumping the solenoid with a screwdriver it ran good as well. 40$ later from Amazon and the starter was good. I haven’t had a problem with the fuse holder yet though.

I got to thinkin that the hydraulic lift needed something to lift so I added a reel. Now maybe it’s done, but who knows.

@OutdoorEnvy and the rest o' youzz folks. I have an UPDATE!! We have an 18 cu yd load of 1 1/2" crushed stone being delivered soon. I figure the Wally Digger Backhoe is a great tool for LOADING yard trailers. We need a way to UNLOAD them. So..... Back to this crane project!! I started out with chopping almost 16" off the end of the crane. Didn't need it. It also added a LOT to the leverage of the whole hitch in a serious downward twist. I'll compensate more for that with a vehicle scissor jack. I'd added a long tube frame to the trailer years ago. Forget now why. May have been because I was thinking about putting the crane on the trailer back then. May have been because I didn't want to chop the tube until I knew what I was doing with this build. Anyway, I shortened that up by over two feet. Before: After: This got the crane and trailer nose about 28" closer together. Next thing was to finish adding the lift mechanism to the crane. Here's the winch: And the lift belt holder: The whole setup: Last for today I found a piece of scrap/leftover 1/2" square edge Advantech. That's going to be bolted to the floor of the trailer. Partially for a great reduction in noise level when filling with stone. Partially for a huge difference in added strength. Next on the list is to add a piece of 3" angle iron to the front as my lifting point. That'll be bolted through the Advantech, the metal floor, the front cargo box support, and the lifting chain(s)..

The belt sider cover on a 953/1054 has no lower belt guide, that is done by a piece of angle iron bolted to the engine and rear of the frame..

Its all there except head light covers.

He told us he had it and would bring it next day. Which of course he forgot it cause him and Dan went out and got hammered at the local dive bar nite before. Had his gf bring it so I have it. Said he had a set of the older weights he let me have for 50 clams... sold I says. He forgot them too. Supposedly coming to plow day so said he would bring them.

I just finished the 5th round of Chemo. One more to go! Last treatment will be July 11th. I am scheduled for an MRI the 25th of July to determine if treatment was successful for surgery. Blood work is still looking good and i have lost 5 more lbs.
