I had to watch 3 of my grandsons the other day while my wife and daughter went to a funeral. They got kinda' antsy, so I figured "why not take them for a ride with ole' rusty". Went all around the property, up into the woods and back. They had a blast. So did I.

I picked this up today thinking it may go to my grandson, but….then I saw it - it’s really nice and I’m keeping it! Sorry kid 🤪 The deck is like new…the paint is good, it’s very clean and don’t ever get me started on the seat

Thank all of you for the Birthday wishes! I reached the Required Minimum Distribution Age today! Ruth already had it spent before the check came! I had my customary steak, with the bonus of tater tots and caprese salad! Also today I got one of my oldest RJs out today and started it for the first time with the new Nova Ii electronic ignition module! After the first pull fired it up I can believe I haven’t changed from Points to one of these before!

Yep same tractor ... 1067 My first one and first resto. Was supposed to be a trailer queen and parked in my living room to look at. @Achto 's restos are a hell of alot nicer than mine and he has no qualms about sticking them in the dirt so who am I? Used to plow with it after resto till I set up a dedicated 1257 plow mule. Would like to find a rough molested 1267 to resto. Only model I would ever resto again.

Thanks! Yeah, been pretty busy, and will continue to be for a while. Next up is priming and coating that metal roof with black silicone (not great for heat dissipation, but going for the resale value curb appeal...). Garage is already done and it looks great. After that, I have some wood floors to sand and refinish, then new kitchen countertops, sink, and some painting to do. Whew!

Check out the Spec. Number on the engine, could be a pump/generator engine with a tapered shaft that a PO put s kit on. Looking at the end of the crank shaft in your photo it looks that way to me.

Kevin and 702Bill I Learned a while back about old seats. If you clean them well I use Gorilla tape in the hot sun and keep pressing down on the spots that need fixing. In bad areas you can use a weight to hold it down. So far I have done few this way. It is the sun that does the work and good Quilty tape.

I did a few final tweaks on the B-80 Reborn. I had to replace the fuel filter due to a little leak. Then it was time for it's maiden voyage. I have no clue why but it took just shy of 7 hours to download this. It never occurred to me that I could have added a little chit-chat but I think I was just enjoying how well the K-181 sounded. I think it's pretty cool. 48 years ago I loaded this brand new B-80 up at Chandler Sales. It wasn't long before I 'converted' it to a C-160. 40+ years later it's back to being a B-80

Vertical Ed Dog... I believe the tank is above and behind the dash. Was on the 244H I have anyway. Not sure f there is a even a pump might just be gravity fed??? Should be one tho. Does a shot of sniffin salts get her roaring? Did you happen to look in the files to see if there is a manual for this motor?

Yup... put a price on that.... That thar jus' might be a Calendar shot, fo' sure....

Other than my wife and I, my whole family is on iPhones. I guess when they all have 6-figure incomes, the cost of the phone is not a problem. To that end, I have no problem communicating via voice, text, or email with them. I don't know why anyone needs to, or for that matter, wants to see my face when talking to me.

Have yet to run that number but will do Richard. Would like to grind off them welds and check it out as the pulley could go in another 1/8. Not serious tho and if it ain't broke don't fix it I guess.

Been busy fixing some drainage issues around the low end of the house. Used a small excavator hoe last weekend. Using the GT-1848 and trailer, and muscle power, to get the dirt back where it belongs.

I'm like you Mick. I have a house full of stuff that serve no purpose, I just like them. Kinda like why I have a garage full of Wheel Horses but live in the city and cut my grass with a push mower.

Don I think you're absolutely right there. It is a piece of functional art, it's form dictated by it's function. But still beautiful in it's design. I have many objects that I have no use for, but they fascinate me, or impress my engineering mind, or just feel good to have around. I do wonder about what I will do with my collection as I approach the cold, cold grave. No young uns to pass things onto At all. Maybe I'll have to sell off a load of stuff pre death. Or I need to buy a big viking longboat and get buried with it.

Seller mentioned that he has 150 in the seat. Thought is Wrencher after the EB check list is to put a eight inch plow on it and use it for a house tractor at plow day since I sold the no '73 name 8 I had set up. If that happens yah the seat will get swapped out for a beater. Either way it will probaly go on a resto or a more refined tractor. It will get a gentle power washing. The tunnel is filled with dirt and crap but after that just something for the to die for patina. Fer sure leave it rough Mike. Paint has never been messed with. I shoulda got a pic before we moved it. Grass and weeds growing up thru it and filled with grass clippings. Choke and throttle froze up solid so saving those is going to be work.

I had remarkable success with just the garden hose. Blasted out all the bigger chunks and just left the surface rust to deal with. Vinegar and baking soda took care of the rest. Rinsed then Dish soap then rinsed some more. Dried with a hair dryer and immediately added the Por 15 It hasn't cured yet but I'm optimistic. Once I got it out of the threads for the spigot (petcock). Still got a couple more tanks to do.

All 520H tractors came with an Eaton 1100 hydro, it is doubtful that a previous owner, that was too dumb to install a wheel, changed the transmission.

If someone put an aftermarket carb on it you have a 50/50 chance of getting it adjusted properly. If you look inside the carb from the choke end you should see some numbers like 26 (I'm nut sure what engine you have, but guessing Kohler 12hp K301) If it doesn't have and numbers embossed in the aluminum throat, its an Aftermarket carb. I hope the carb works out for you! One of the many problem with after market carbs is they make one size and sell them to fit 3 or more engine sizes. One the smaller size engine the carb doesn't idle good, but has good top end. On the larger size engines the carb idles good but doesn't rev up to top end. If that carb doesn't work out, ask her if the original carb is around somewhere and rebuilt it. It sounds like this Horse is lucky it found you, always good to hear of a Horse being saved. Call Wild Bill, he needs more to do!

An electric pump may be the simplest option for you. That said, if you don’t see any significant wear/corrosion/deterioration on the metal pump mechanicals and the check valves can be restored or replaced, you might well be able to save it with a repair kit. The new diaphragm will seem oddly sized, as it has to be “scrunched” in to allow it to flex with the pumping action (the rubber is intended to flex but not stretch so if it is drum tight, the pump cannot pump). There is another vendor of these kits besides IST, but I cannot recall the name. Maybe @ebinmaine can chime in with it?

I'm phone illiterate. My preference is a flip phone with call and text. When my flip phone became obsolete, My family decided that a smart phone was the way to go. For the most part, text and talk are 90% of my phone usage. Reasons I prefer simple phone is: I see my family can't go more than a few minutes before checking their smart phone phones seem to be addictive. Flip phone are small and fit in pocket versus a holster on my side. (Thusly taking place of my Sneaky Pete holster.) I'd rather do my playing on computer of evening and that is not every evening. I think my current phone is Samsung. I'm probably in the minority, in that, I don't have back up camera in my daily driver or use google directions when driving. (No need because my wife does.) Last summer on vacation, our kids depended entirely upon electronic driving directions. They were the lead car and we followed, meanwhile I had paper road atlas. At one point, they had us on gravel roads looking for "Field of Dreams" baseball diamond in Iowa. We made it to all destinations, but I was scratching my head sometimes. I admit, technology has great benefits and I'll just look over the shoulders of those who embrace it meanwhile I'll head out to the shop and let sawdust fly and get grease under my fingernails.

This was an ASA parade in Andersen, IN. Wheelhorse leading the pack! Notice the second car is a being pulled by one and the third appears to be towed by another GT. My wife’s grandfather is on the door of the Goodwrench car. Back in the parade, my FIL and wife riding on the trunk lid…. We aren’t sure who was sticking out the passenger window.
