9 pointsI'm a 12 year old who started collecting some wheel horses in the last 6 months. Currently I own an A-81 and a 414-8. The 414-8 is running very well and the A-81 is currently not running. I have a mower for each but have not mowed with the 414-8 yet. I will attach some pictures below

8 pointsJust rolled ‘em around. I’m starting to pack away my toys like a squirrel for the winter. I think I have enough 8” tires!
-
8 pointsLike this ?? A member on here did this one up few years back. I forget his name but loved how it came out.
-
7 pointsYeah, better when it's cool for Halloween - wouldn't want you sweating in your Barney the Purple Dinosaur suit!

6 pointsYes. LED front and back. It helps out quite a bit. I don’t have street lamps and my driveway lights get buried with snow.

5 pointsHere just one day little colder 0,5*C I heared it in the news, but don‘t care about - season is changing that simple.... Next morning after Rain a 1cm thick iceplate on the Windshield.... .... dang - forgot to protect the Windshield.... I hate ice scraping, time to use again the frost protect foil on the Windshield.

5 pointsBig Frigging Hammer. A sometimes solution for a variety of sticky problems. If it does not solve the problem, using it sure makes you feel better.

5 points@MarshDuck if youre on the western pa side, i have a couple horses ill give you. I have 36 and I need to thin the herd a little before moving to Tennessee .

4 pointsThanks Dan. He's not a high scorer, but one of the heaviest whitetails I have taken. He had 1/2 to 3/4 inch of fat all over. Made a real chore to skin as I like to leave all the fat on the hide so I don't have to trim the meat later. Another surprise, I did not find one tick. They are usually covered this time of year. He walked into my shooting lane at 27 yds at 8AM this morning. He ran about 40 yds and fell over. This was the fourth time I saw this buck in the past three weeks. We are in our fifth week of our six week long archery season and I have spent well over 100 hours in my tree stand. Sure was glad to have the 312H close by as this 170 lb 80 yo couldn't begin to move him.

4 pointsStormy has had a ripped valve stem since Memorial Weekend. Since I’m moving stuff around, it might as well roll (finally)!
-
4 pointsSTRIKE 1! I think the welded 1/4” bar stock on the tip of it might act as a cleat to keep it from moving around too much. I’d trust it with any torque weight the loader could handle…

4 pointsSame here. HUGE difference is the nice bright white LEDs installed. By the way I may have a little bit of "lamp envy".

4 pointsM Duck: Glade to see you and the younger gen are interested in this great hobby we have and of course this site. Enjoy the ride.

4 pointsI'm going to prove that CAT can and will run and operate. Everyone that has used it in the past and has known about its problems over its life swears there's no hope and it's a pile of junk. I've already put ATF and Acetone mixed down the cylinders a month ago. I put a three foot breaker bar and got the engine rotating as it should. Pressure tested injectors, all sprayed as expected. The main brakes are weak and parking brake doesn't work. According to MSHA rules, all lights, brakes must work. So, since it couldn't pass inspection years ago, parking it in the scrap yard was the best option. Since then, people have tried to buy, trade, sell their souls to the boss to get it and no go. I told him that I would spend my own money and time to get it functioning again. IF I can get it back to today's code, it's mine and will as a good gesture, maintain haul roads at both facilities for free. Plus, I think it would be fun to run uptown for Dairy Queen or the bank!

3 pointsI wouldn't either and I had the drill out ready to go. I was so happy with the clamp on forks it's the way to go. Figured it be just in the way for other FEL chores. 'Sides in the bucket you can't see to hook but extended out just a bit you can see the hook standing on the floor boards. I have plenty of 2" hitches with every drop/rise imaginable. Plus convertible balls. Tip: Greasy Pete says keep the clamp screws lubed. Unloading the HF tool chest was painless.

3 pointsI made a simple flywheel puller, no need to hammer on crankshafts.
-
3 pointsExpecting snow tonight in northeast Ohio. Possible 2-4" in snow belt. Of course I live in the primary snowbelt. I was planning on doing driveway markers, installing winter/snow tires, & putting plow on 654 this weekend......

3 pointsI used 4.5" 18 watt Lantsun round LED on the front which mounted in the stock light brackets on my 414-8. The back is a 20" 126 watt Nilight off road bar which i bolted with stainless hardware into the back fender with the supplied brackets. I fished the wire through a drilled hole with a sized rubber gromet. Like @ebinmaine said, i used the stock switch and wiring but did ground the lights with new wire. All lights were bought off amazon.

3 pointsI have one ... works good for moving light trailers around the ranch. Just ok for the heavier tandem and enclosed. Can lighten the rear end up for poor traction. On the big Mahindra will move anything. Keep the hitch short & stay alert to avoid bending the lighter buckets. Nice thing is you can just drive up the trailer and hook it without leaving the seat. Again make sure you lift high enough to get whatever trailer jack stand you have off the ground. They bend also... ... FYI RJC I saw them in the jungle for 18 bucks. Figured I could outfit both loaders on the cheap. It is a scam. They say it's been delivered but no. A complaint to the jungle gorillas got a refund tho. Odd thing was the gorillas didn't seem to care it is a scam.

3 pointsAppreciate your thorough review of my fat fingers typing... Guess I would just drill for a ball directly.

3 pointsTrue. Also has good variability in that the size of above mentioned smack smash crunching device can be adjusted up down and sideways for specific needs of the moment. Key is sizing to task. My experience shows that the above mentioned carbs usually would do well in adjustment with a 20 lb hammer but a 16 lb is easier to swing thereby creating better velocity.

3 pointsGonna need to mow again this week once the rain stops. Definitely colder than last week with predicted overnights temperatures in the mid to upper 20s. Looks like Indian summer is over. No snow yet.

3 pointsIf it has a brass float, remove the float, shake it, listen and or feel if gas got in there. If it did, that will cause flood issues. Dry it off, shake it around and look for the wet spot as the gas will seep through and creep around the hole or crack. If that's the case, post it and I can write up how I fix them If you ordered a cheap chinese carb as a replacement, that's the issue. No more for me since having 3 of those do that and none worked no matter what I tried. Finally fixed them with a BFH

3 pointsThat's a tough nut to crack Kev. First thought is to let go of the 'Burbs but then again... it's like cutting off a thumb to save a toe. My recent theory is if it doesn't come out to play or work on a regular basis time to go. Don't ask me how well that is workin... Came up with a new theory tho ... sell them to @Achto for little to nothing... he has to stall them but most often I still get seat time!...

3 pointsWelcome to Red Square The snow or dozer blade uses rear hitches bolted to the cast iron transmission axle housings. A pulled grader blade connects to the mid hitch you have.
-
3 pointsAlso have a GT-1848, it was red when I got it. Now I just use it occasionally for the grader blade, which by the way works great?
-
3 pointsNo reason why it wouldn't work. I drilled holes to attach a hitch ball to move trailers and such. Hooks on the top of the bucket are useful too
-
3 pointsTo Red Square. If you have any questions just ask , mostly ole goats here and some of us can read, but we love pictures.

2 pointsThanks. Given that there is no mechanical noise emanating, I’d strongly suspect that one of the internal check valves on the pump side has stuck open so that the pump is sloshing oil back and forth instead of moving it in one direction. Repairable in theory. I’ve never been inside one nor have I looked into getting parts. A replacement Eaton 700 pump/motor or complete rear might be tricky to find, but not impossible. I would start with a call to A to Z. Lincoln only sells parts that he knows are working and he may have one on hand. You can also consider an 1100 pump/motor. Not trivial but, in theory, doable. The belt input will be almost identically positioned, the motion linkage connects somewhat differently and the 1100 has a charge pump for the external lift cylinder. (If you don’t want to get involved with the lift, you can bypass all that with a hydro hose directly from the pump output to the hydro filter input.) The 700 uses a metal collar to align the hydro motor output shaft to the rear axle input gear--the 1100 pump/motor mates up without that collar. Personally, I would consider a complete 1100 rear (probably much easier to come by locally off a parts tractor). Same issue with the lift plumbing bypass and the motion linkage but otherwise pretty much a bolt in. I’ll mention that I was in your position a few years ago with a 518-H where I decided the 700 was iffy. I ended up getting a complete 520-H chassis/transaxle and moving the 518’s engine and other parts over.

2 pointsTime to get back on track a bit. Yesterday, I was up another 4 ish lbs to 184 since my last check in. It seems we have found more social things to do, which usually equate to having a couple. Three days with nothing to drink but water or a sip of our (non-alcoholic) homemade grape juice and a glass of milk last night, I’m fully clothed with a couple layers on and 181. I realize the beer, wine, and/or moonshine in our social gatherings tend to just mean pure carbs but why do they make it so tasty?

2 pointsA diode bridge will do it. They are inexpensive and convert AC (the blue circle with the wave form in it) to DC. (This is one kind of rectifier--there are others.) Specs are for: - PIV or Peak Inverse Voltage meaning how strong a pressure must the diode resist when NOT letting current through. For this situation, 50 will suffice but more won’t hurt. - Amperage. For this application, probably 5 would be adequate but 10 or more doesn’t hurt Here are five for $8 on the jungle site that are more than adequate! Here are another five in different packaging. (You only need one, but you can share with your friends!) The four leads coming out correspond to the two connections for AC input and two connections for DC output. They will be neatly labeled on the device. the important point to remember is that the voltage and current are not regulated--if the stator delivers 40 VAC at 2 amps, you’ll get 40 VDC at 2 amps (with a tiny bit of loss dissipated as heat🙂) If you happen to have an electronics supply place, like a Radio Shack or the now-defunct Lafayette Radio on your route, they will have something like these. By the way, I have the same setup on the 12.5 hp vertical B&S on my Snapper. Only the charging wire is used there -- it has no accessories needing AC power!
