Did I need another horse? Absolutely not, but for $50 I had to buy it. One of my wife's co-workers got in touch with me about this 312-8 that was rough and he emphasized rough. It needs lots of love so I don't know if I'm gonna part everything out or try and get it running. Always happy to have another one though!

Found these at the swap meet here in Portage, WI today. A 3/4 hp Briggs kick start engine and a 3 cylinder marine engine. Me thinks a kick start Suburban is in order! The big one? It was just too good a deal to drive away

So my buddy is at a scrap yard and he sends me this picture. Sitting on top of the scap pile. He went in to ask if they will sell it. I'm waiting for his call back.

I haven't gotten enough snow to need a shovel in the past 5 years. I may use it to mulch pumpkins.

You were "moving the hot air around" at the the " Picnic table of Knowledge! " Fun few days. Sunday 12:30 AM drunk dude hits pole in front of house. power does not go out but flashing lights ( LED'S) and floodlights (More LED's) lighting up the neighborhood. No sleep. Monday idiots started at 11AM blowing off fire works until 11:30 PM Tues. No sleep Had to go in early Wed. meet with controls contractor as construction guys cut wires and blew up controller. HELPED MOVE DEAD GUY OFF OF BROKEN STRETCHER!!! 95 deg. out. 2 rooftops down with the heat. Got 1 running. Had to baby sit 2nd one until new fan motors arrive. Chiller at 95% load. Went home and had to snake kitchen sink drain. 2 trips to the Big Blue Box Store! Had to go in early Thurs. and meet another control contractor in 100 deg boiler room replacing 35 yr. old controller for a steam heat exchanger. Only 92 degrees this time. Baby sit rooftop again . Emergency Dept kept breaking the tube system. Chiller banging away at 90% load. Fri. Day off RAIN!

ever do a look under your mower deck with a mirror ? frequently keep in statis with whats going on . use a 6 / 8" or larger mirror and a light to show me whats going on . all decks are clean and black with oil / heavy gear spray , dry that sheds any grass debris , always cut at highest setting for more discharge / venting . was cutting high grass last night due to frequent rain and hot sun growth . entire unit rotation was smooth and no whyining noise . touched up movement areas , with lubricant . if it had build up , would have made a change to eliminate it. pete

Nicely done!! Likely those hubcaps will some up with some effort. That tote. The clevis hitch alone will easily pay out your investment.

Found on of the headlights on the C-125 was hanging off. Two of the securing clips had broken. Now the chances of replacing them will be zero over here. Can't see how you can really. Looking at them I wondered of they would turn round. Nothing to lose, so a pair of pliars, (English spelling), were brought into play. Luck was with me and they did turn 180 degrees. Head light secured once more.

Why did I get involved with this thread? Now you got me wanting to stretch the D and put a bed on it. If I did that though, I could lower the 3 speed transmission in the frame and use a belt on the front and a small driveshaft to the rear axle.

I finally decided to restore my grandpa's 1974 C-120 with the original HH120 motor on it. It will be a big project and i look forward to getting it completed for everyone to see! I would like to hear anyone's criticism or advice as i have never done a project this big especially engine work on this level! Happy 4th to everyone out there! BTW he (my grandpa) is waving at everyone in the picture!

I'm not a parts seller. To me it would be yard art or I'd get in running. In either case I can't spend the 150

Metal gas tank is another 30 bucks or so. Starter generator... Working $100 easy. No working still $50.

I bet Artificial Intelligence wouldn’t think of that…….

No……no tandem. Just stretching it and moving the axle back. Then I could run a driveshaft instead of chain.

@Craig-906 while you are in that zone , probably a good time to replace that , spring tensioned , idler pulley , typically , noisy rough running , tiny bearing causes that . also take the time to areosol lubricate ,make the rust run out of all related linkage movement areas , finish with a red grease for smooth operation , just a suggestion , pete

Flat tires on the interstate, but otherwise WI came easy today! 600 feet from Pomp’s, but 8 miles by road for a valve stem repair. They rock!

Not mine but my mates in Scotland. Went over there today as usual for Thursday. He has a C-125 for trailer duties and runs sweet when cold but when hot rather rough. This morning we removed the carb' to give it a clean out. But the float bowl was spotless and jets clear. What we did find was the absence of a gasket between carb' and engine. My diagnosis is the carb' is getting hot and effecting the fuel. I'll see if I have a spare gasket and if not I'll make one. I have various thickness's of gasket material and use a thickish one. See how it goes next week.

I've never worked on a horse this new before. It needs a new fuse block. The one on it has a couple melted in there so I need to check for shorts. Trans has some issues. The set screw for the shifter is broken off and she doesn't shift. Nothing we can't fix though!

Got them on. Used the factory holes, put in led bulbs, they frame ground like oem, connected 1 wire each and off it went..both sides took about 5mins to mount including drilling the stock rivets.

Here you are, John, and no Squonk in sight. Water butt's the tall black thing on the left. The water runs down the down pipe, into the butt. You get it out from the tap at the bottom.

I bought a lift table to work on my tractors and I really believe it was well worth it. I think it was about $600 from Harbor Freight. I have a bad back and not bending over or laying on the ground makes me want to work on them! As soon as I lifted the first tractor I thought to myself “I should have gotten one of these a long time ago!”
