Got my shots for the day.

Picked up a very nice 1-owner original 854 w/ deck & blade. Also had my riding partners which require 3 hamburgers/each 🍔 for their security services. 🐾👮‍♂️

Not my 's but working on 's all the same. @WHX?? & I wet sanded the sheet metal for a club raffle tractor (68' Charger) as well as the sheet metal for Jim's 701. The raffle tractor received 3 coats of red paint today. Tomorrow it will be time for Jim's 701 to receive 3 coats of red paint.

So last fall I put a want ad for an . Either an E-141 or an A-60. Crickets... Then I get a lead, text this guy in Minnesota, who I don't know and is not on RS... He says ya I have a NOS A-60, but it's in Iowa. Ok I says, can you get it to Minnesota and then we'll see what happens... Yup... couple months go by... it's in Minnesota. Now what? So i put out some feelers to some Wisconsin and Minnesota boys - @WHX??, @Achto, @wheelhorseman, @Shynon, @prondzy as well as my Michigan buddy @Pullstart who is well known for short jaunts to pick up wayward 's... Thank you gents. Would not have happened without your help!!! Long story short, achto and whxx pick it up in a late season blizzard (covered trailer thank you!) on the way back from their own wrangling mission. So now it's in whxx's shed, which is a sketchy place to be if your a young filly far away from home... But all is well, as whxx begins lookin it over he notices flat tire, missing ignition coupler, etc. and proceeds to fix said items!!! Now I'm waiting on pullstart to go west to North Dakota to pick up a herd he bought last fall. Snug in her temporary home, A-60 waits... Then, long winter over, Mrs Pullstart insists, i am told, that she spend Mother's Day in Norman on the way to North Dakota to get some more Wheel Horses... Couple days later and voila... A-60 is home!!! The first pick up by an unknown assailant from Wisconsin. Note the cheese curd stains on the jacket... The second pick up (note the signature shorts and safety boots): The third and final pick up: And home: Done so far: Cleaned up. lubed 3 new deep cycle batteries from Costco. Saving the WH branded, never seen acid still in shrink wrap, for garage decorations. New spring for clutch Lubed chain Penetrol on all sheet metal. 2 coats. And she floats!!! This old mixer had single phase 2 hp electric motor which is now in my possession, I'm going to use the motor for a small hammer mill build to liberate the gold bonding wires found in integrated circuits removed from discarded electronics. From another site recently acquired 130 computers.

Finished up Grady’s wife’s She-Shed by figuring out the little wiring problem, putting a drain line in from a downspout coming from his shop next door that will run under the she shed concrete porch, finishing all the caulking around the outside of the shed, putting up the ceiling fan, last receptacle… Now I can concentrate more on my projects, like the C-160…

Spent the morning with Jim wet sanding the sheet metal on 2 tractors, then painted one of them. Used the rest of my day to do some more assembly on my tractor. Made some good progress with the few hours that I had to work on it.

Got a tire that’s flat on the bottom

Did, doing, still doing. Feeding the hungry ole rolling brush burner. Taking advantage of the rain from last night/morning.

Not as vintage as most pictures here but that’s me on what I would find out was a hodgepodge of a wheelhorse. Original tractor was a raider that was burned up in a fire when one grandfather owned it and other grandfather dug it out of the ashes and pieced it together with lawn ranger parts he had to make functional again Last picture is that tractor today finally back the way it came from the factory

Got the round hoods out for a group photo. Took them for a spin let them warm up and charge.

Just did it today on my new NOS A-60. Did it for years on our fiberglass boats. The stuff works.

No idea - I've never seen a D hood in person. Wouldn't surprise me though given the Pond's legendary frugality. Here's a couple more pics of just the hood.

Picked up a 416-8 carcass. I just wanted the engine but he wanted the whole thing gone. Who am I to argue?

Hydro with hydro lift is mighty fine. 8 speed for pure grunt work. Kohler K series with no idiot lights for me...

Before he could even lay eyes on his A-Baby, he had the wiring schegramic and adapter kit in his car!

Wow she really cleaned up nice. Nice patch job on the seat too. I think what happened is it dried out wherever it was stored, turned brittle and a PO set something heavy on it. Massage it good with armor all. Did Pulldingus remember to give you the colored wiring diagram with the diode? Did you try the battery charger?

Very upset 😂 He loaded it with a fork attachment on his kubota. Neither of us even broke a sweat. If had known I was getting it, I would have made sure I had something to secure it better before I left home. Should be fine

Had to take a break in my day to go see some poor chap get married. After paying my condolences to the new bride & groom crawled back in the garage to get some work done. A little further on the engine. Got the hydraulic pump put back together correctly. Mounted the tires on the rims.

Extra pickles? When we take our dogs to the vet they get to go to the McDonald's down the street. We order plain burgers. One time they screwed up and put pickles on it and lets just say tuba music was played all night!.

Finished cleaning the underside of the Cub deck, prepped for the POR-15… I achieved the white powdery look on the metal, so I went for it. Now to go see what my neighbor Grady is doing…

So the fun begins. Started to tear the ol’ girl apart today. This is going to be a long process, but I’m in no hurry.

I’ve been working really hard to get the pieces clean so my dad can paint them. Today I started putting it together. I put a lot of the pieces on today. I am trying to get it done before the twenty fifth because of a tractor show in Bernardston.

That was a white knuckle ride wasn't it Dan. We walked into a quick mart at 6 am to take a leak & coffee. Pitch black out & walked out minutes later to three inches down. Worst off Karen (the GPS) took us down hilly unplowed side roads. Daylight broke when we hit Iowa and smooth sailing from ther out. The masked pic was @Achtos idea I just happen to have a snot rag in my pocket!

Any tractor as long as it's a hydro with foot control and hydraulic lift. My three 520H, 417A, 312H all have Eaton 1100 hydros.

If they are threaded in, unscrew them , blast them from the backside with the wand of Brake-Kleen - watch out for your eyes!! Press one at a time into the grease gun fitting - give it a try (50-50 on that). If good, reinstall, if not ,replace. Seen both....

Thanks, Okie. Need to see if I can unscrew it. Some guy on the net suggested heating the zirc and melting the grease, and maybe getting the old junk to flow out of it.

The 'flutter' is not unusual. I've used a 48" side deck for 30+ years on my Bronco 14. PTO to deck belt MUST be on the INNER most 'V' of the engine PTO. With proper tension, the belt should deflect about 1 inch midway of the PTO pulley and the Mule Drive. Be CERTAIN that all 6 pulleys have NO WOBBLE or drag. (2 on mule drive...4 on deck). Sharpened and BALANCED blades would also be a factor. Check the deck belt tension SPRING-LOADED adjust arm. It ABSOLUTELY must be Free-Floating....very often dirt / debris gets under it, causing havoc. DON'T lubricate this tension arm at all....grease is a dirt magnet.

Depends on the yard. If you have a lot of trees and flower beds to mow around get a hydro.

I think the Onan 16 is a more dependable power plant over the 20. You almost never hear about the dreaded valve seat issue with the smaller HP. Hydro over 8 speed: kinda depends on what you might do with it. I personally prefer the manual gearbox.

All my tie downs are at home. Luckily it fits in the bed. I have it sitting on 2x6 boards now so it won’t rock. Should make it home 😁

Got Morgan out today to haul the summer wheels/tires for the Jeep from the shed to the driveway. Pulled the winter tires off, replaced them with the summer tires, then hauled the winter set back to the shed for storage. Next job was to haul the three dock sections that I got a fresh coat of stain on the other day down by the lake, then haul the three remaining dock sections from their winter home behind the shed out into the yard where I will get a fresh coat of stain on them before setting the dock in the lake. Water temperature is in the 50's. That job won't be too bad once my legs go numb.....

Things are loaded with safety interlocks these days. Neighbor lady has called me over several times when she can't get hers started. Usually she gets off to drag a twig out of the way and leaves the blades on. Of course it shuts down obediently and then she's confused. Have to keep telling her "sit on seat, turn everything off, handles in neutral position."

I dunno about that there's 4 fords here ones just well hidden and 5 wheel horses but the 520 has to hang out here because that's the only place it fits

Ride it wearing Flippity-Flops and use the built in foot soaker pockets !!!!!
