So this started as a different project but as happens often it turned into something else. It will be made from as many WH parts as possible so finding the right parts for a purpose kinda slows things a little. It's still in the building stages but there's enough there to roll and mock up for pics to give an idea what going on. It's getting tougher and tougher to come up with something new that hasn't already been done. Same torque converter drive as the other bike but this one will be chain driven instead of a belt. Split suburban axles for the front suspension with suburban lift handles for rear swing arm suspension, so it should ride a bit smoother than the rigid bike does. Hoping to have done for a local show or 2 before the big show to work out any kinks

The old Maytag washer has bit the dust! So we bought a new Speed Queen Washer and dryer set. Speed Queen made in Wisconsin and these have a five year warranty. Most laundromats use the commercial Speed Queen washers and dryers because they last. My friend asked to have the old set so I used my B-80 to move my trailer around to the garage to assist with loading for transport ! The new Soeed Queen set will come tomorrow which gives us time to clean up the floor and walls behind the old set.

This is a 69 Raider 10 - K 12 Kohler implant. I am thinking the dealer had this on the shelf so when the tecky blew up he went to the dealer, and they had this one on the shelf. As I said earlier post on this tractor this is a service engine also. You may see a 3/4" bolt where the axel pin would be. There was so much play in the front axel The pin did nothing to stop it. So, the 3/4" bolt. Problem solved. The baggiest problem was getting it to run right. Lots of carb spray. Took the jests out today, sprayed them, for the first time it ideal down to a normal rpm. WAHOO. So, I put it to work. Also just in case you never saw this before I found this at an auto parts store. It is muffler cement from JB weld. Comes in a tube no mixing. I know they make good stuff used it many times. Before and after picks. A nelson original muffler. Wanted to save it so that is why I did it.

Speed Queen is gonna be my next purchase when our current set goes out. My washing machine is a Whirlpool from the 90's and I think my dryer is from the late 80's. I have replaced the belt on it through, but when I was younger and didn't have any money it was a good $20 purchase and I'm not giving up on it until it gives up on me lol

Update!! Sent the bad tubes back to Amazon and they refunded the money... So, I went back to the jungle and read thru the MANY tube listings - most the same brand that I had ordered! But, on down the list I saw a few different brands - all from China, of course - but I picked 2 more out and ordered, They arrived yesterday and I promptly aired one on the bench to about 15psi and it stayed nice and round for some 10 mins, so I put it in the tire and ----- Success!!!

Search for NOS pt no chkplk-3036... The Ponds made it only one year. Found that an all in one chicken killer, deheader, plucker, fryer attachment ended badly when mixed with motor oil, @peter lena's sticky red and dirt... Pretty rare so may need your credit card...

Figured you old geezers would need a stable ride so.... Here ya go! I'd imagine a lot more people would actually take this one for a lap or lap or 2 compared to the 2 wheeler. Dick, I'll hold you cane to make sure you come back!

The front hitch, like an airplane tug, makes it sooo much easier to get a 2 wheeled trailer in position. I occasionally go salt water fishing with my son in law - he is really good at backing a boat down the ramp (not I). If there is any beer left after fishing, we will occasionally load up the boat on the trailer and park it in the lot there - walk back to the ramp with a cold one in hand and be entertained by those less skilled in the acquired art of backing down a trailer.... we are usually not alone !!!

Gentleman and Buddies, thanks for all , what ain‘t kill me makes me harder. i just be faster exhausted after that infection. did i learn anything out of it ? Huh no... did i try to prevent anything ? Hahaha - No did i stop smoking ? - Nope my values on my lung seems same as before and far from a smokers lung. as far as i can go to Job, i can also go to the Big Show. i was unable to protect me to be not infected, even if we had mask and lots of other Safety rules. So my personal result - i try to protect others as good as i can. I will try this year, so Holiday is allready planed. So far actually it seems to be possible this year. ( cross my Fingers)

I know I'm half a year ahead of schedule! I picked this 1974 D-180 up early last year. It had a pretty hard life, and the previous owner gave his best attempt at keeping it alive. Hydro was strong so I serviced it and put it to work mowing all year. I decided if it would make it through the season then it would get some TLC. By fall it was burning about a quart of oil an hour but it made it. I have no clue how many hours are on it, every hole, bushing, bearing on this tractor is pooched. If you look closely, somebody used two 1" NPT Pipe Flanges to rebuild the mounting points for the upper 3 point cylinder. Hey it works! I rebuilt the steering gearbox and re-bushed the front axle along with making new spindles. I had the 482 Kohler bored .20 over (it was .10 over already) and gave it a rebuild with the intention of putting it back to work on snow duty. I then dawned on me that this tractor will be 50 years old next year - and these old D's are becoming harder and harder to find anymore. So I decided to customize it a bit and go for what a maybe a dealership would offer for a 50th anniversary model if Wheel Horse was still in business today (In another universe, maybe!) As D's aren't known for their looks - and I can't leave anything alone. I took approximately 2 Inches out of the grille and bezel. I updated most of the wiring and lights. Gave it a new set of Carlisle Ags along with Vredestein front ribs. It got a new seat and I painted all the accents aluminum. I patched, rebuilt the 48" deck and put new blades, wheels, and hardware on it. The Blade & 3 point scoop somebody adapted to it also got some attention. Lastly I stripped it most of the way down and painted it with IH red acrylic urethane enamel. I always forget to take pictures during my projects but here's a few: Before: After: Thanks for reading!!

My wife is a gadget queen, washer and dryer had to have all the toys and tricks. Needless to say the electronic gizmos went out on the washer. Good part is we purchased it at the blue big box store and got the seven year extended warrantee. It quit at six years seven months and the electronic gizmos were no longer available so the Blue big box warrantee refunded the original purchase price. When we bought the replacement washer they no longer offer the seven year warrantee, just five years now. Try as I might I couldn't convince the wife to get the simple turn the knob washer, hope this one runs forever or kicks the bucket while it is covered.

I narrowly missed out on one like that on CL once Squonky... guy was only asking 600 for it & local. Didn't get off my barstool fast enough, someone seat belted me in... and missed out by 15 minutes... The guy was from Fox Lake @Achto& never knew about the PK reunion at Burnett Show! Told me he thought it was just an old tractor that nobody would want.

Don't have a miracle cure for you. Had this on a 953 and had to remove the transaxle just to see the dog point. You should be able to get by with the fenders and tool box.

Does you engine block have a 1" pipe stub coming out of it for the exhaust? If so, you could use a hand grinder and put a bit of taper on the exhaust nipple. I checked and there are lots of 1-1/8" pipe expanders for sale. I think I'm going to pick one of these up next time they have a 20-30% off sale! https://www.harborfreight.com/medium-exhaust-pipe-expander-57707.html?utm_source=google&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=12144811130&campaignid=12144811130&utm_content=129616991021&adsetid=129616991021&product=57707&store=2996&gclid=CjwKCAjw5pShBhB_EiwAvmnNV9qfIvukKpYHEgUcB0NtvXvWtnuc0quEsJpWUnOj2AO0Jo66GuXWFhoCAGYQAvD_BwE 1" black pipe has and OD of 1.301 which is just smaller that 1-5/16 ( 1.312 )

So much for plucking birds......now you gotta learn to cape out a rooster. Probably easier than plucking. Due to shot under the skin, I skin all my wild birds , turkey, grouse, and pheasants. I hang them by the head and work it down. That could be a problem with a headless rooster?

1986 GMC K2500 HD 3/4 ton 4X4 350CI 4-Speed which I bought new. The last year of the carburetor and less than 200 HP. So replace the top end with roller-hydraulic camshaft, Brodix Track 1 cylinder heads, roller rockers, stud gridle, Edelbrock Air Gap intake and throttle body fuel injection. Started this project and I got distracted with my Wheel Horse Hot Rod project by @Achto. After the Hot Rod project is done I need to complete this project.

That moldboard plow is designed to fit in a SLOT hitch. Another style sown below (PLOW A.jpg) fits in a CLEVIS hitch. The big 'D' ring pin (3/4" dia) shown here is used to mount EITHER hitch (or a drawbar) to the transmission. Get the 'D' pull pin at TSC or a hardware.

Regarding trailers… There are lots of Maine license plates on private trailers even a thousand miles away here in Illinois. Apparently Maine will allow a non-resident to register a trailer. It’s legal for Maine’s purposes, but my understanding is that Illinois stipulates that a vehicle that spends a certain amount of time here needs to be registered here, so it can result in a citation if law enforcement sees a reason to pursue it. At a minimum it may result in an annoyed police officer who now knows they might want to look for additional questionable behavior. Seems reasonable that IL wouldn’t be unique in this regard. We didn’t have this problem until a couple of years ago when the price for a small trailer plate went from $18 per year to $118. I felt $18 was underpriced and probably didn’t cover the state’s effort, but a $100 increase was more than a bit much. It’s back down to $36 now which seems reasonable. That big price hike locally was probably a windfall for the Maine DMV. this cost increase also fostered the illegal habit of moving one plate around for various trailers. And many guys started buying a 5-year Semi Trailer plate for $18. Which the DMV will sell you, but is not technically legal per the state police. The left hand doesn’t know what the right hand is doing…which I suspect is quite common in government offices. When I look around the parking lot at the boat launch I see a lot of these “ST” plates alongside the regular trailer plates and the Maine plates. I see it as my fellow citizens trying to live by their own rules and sticking it to their neighbors. I can’t imagine Illinois is the only state to allow a 24 hour period of being able to transport a trailer without a plate after purchase. I would guess this would apply to building a homemade trailer and registering it the initial time too. Probably applies to autos as well. Having seen more than my share of decrepit and poorly-built homespun trailers, I’m not a fan of them in general. A lot of guys “can weld” but how many really know with certitude what they are doing is good enough to not just fall apart when subjected to constant vibration and impulse loading? At least with a trailer company there is some chain of liability that puts enough skin in the game to influence them to presumably put in some real engineering effort. Not to mention the product liability insurance they likely have. I’m not saying all homemade trailers are junk and that all manufactured trailers are robust, but if I was placing bets I know where my confidence lies. I don’t think we have any kind of inspection on small trailers. At least I’ve never had to have one done. My cousin built a tandem axle car hauler and all he had to do to get plates was show up at the drivers license office with a check and apply for a title. Same as me for my boat, flatbed, and little utility trailer that were each made in a factory and had pedigree paperwork. As a union iron worker he “can weld” too, but he doesn’t know anything about the alloy or properties of the salvaged steel he used, only put brakes on one axle and didn’t bother to hook them up, and mounted used car tires in place of what would normally be considered the appropriate rubber. He’s had zero problems with the trailer, it looks great, and nobody has died as a result of it being on the road. but he certainly didn’t put in the full effort you’d think something like this should get. Oh, and he also has 3000 lb license plates on it despite it being a big trailer with twin 3500 lb axles. At least the plate is from Illinois… Wisconsin doesn’t plate or title trailers. Seems to work for them. I bought a used boat from Wisconsin and brought it back to Illinois. I checked with the state office twice before I bought it to make sure I’d be able to plate it. They told me the procedure so i pulled the trigger. The first time I visited the office to get the plates the person behind the counter insisted it couldn’t be done without the (non-existent) Wisconsin title. She even checked with another worker who was equally flummoxed. So I left. I came back the next day and the person who then helped me knew exactly what to do and the process was painless. I walked out of there with the plate in my hand. Again, the left hand knoweth not… I think a wide array of our gripes with our governments could be cleared up with less complexity of the laws and regulations we try to follow. It’s a shame that most of us interact with the government only when we go to the DMV, stop by the post office, or pay our taxes. You couldn’t create more Byzantine, less customer service-driven enterprises if you tried. I think you could win any election if you ran on a platform that merely promised to make things simpler and easier to understand. Well, I guess you also need to be attractive and have great hair…which rules me out. Steve
