14 pointsThis may have been posted before but I thought I'd pass it on. Still cracks me up. Ya'll have safe travels to and from the big show.
-
9 pointsSo I wish I was packing up the truck to head out to the Big Show, but I am not. Instead I decided to paint the seat on the 1075. The seat I had painted cream to match the wheels. Now that I put on the new decals and the baby moons I thought the cream colored seat wasn't right. I painted it to match the decals. Chrome and black with a touch of red. Was raining out so I will post better pics later.

9 pointsWell now that FlowahPowah has a wide rear she is 100% done! Now onto another project I think I'll be picking up tomorrow night...
-
8 pointsSince I am waiting on Wheel Horse parts ( yes, still ) I finally got around to make me an adapter for hooking up my turnable Honda plow, that originally came off a walk behind Honda tractor. Need to test it, and then paint it. Don't judge me on the welds, they are strong but not pretty, Just 19 year old learning himself how to weld with welding rods on a welder triple his age.

8 pointsGetting closer now to getting my scrap yard find 100% sound , other then needing front tires (dry rot) and the Tie rods are a touch worn maybe 3/8'' play I will then begin to the transformation in to making this WH in to a gravel road maintainer , I stopped back over my scrapper friends place yesterday to pick up a few things I saw last time I was there , I picked up a set of wheel weights and a nice seat from another WH also a very nice 36'' mower deck that he said came along with the c120 I got from him , and also few other things for the transformation I am about to start ,but did get the wheel weights and seat on today and gave it a well deserved power wash.

-
7 pointsJust need to tighten the ramps and throw a handful of straps on this load, then hook up to the camper!
-
7 pointsI hear the odds are trending for Hally's Comet to be victorious in this race!
-
7 pointsI greased my ball (sorry again @SylvanLakeWH ‘s eyes) and dumped my tanks in the camper... now it’s time to load the deck and some awaiting tractors!
-
7 pointsI once had a truculent pullstart on my 502 horse. I un-holstered my weapon and shot the Tecumseh right in the re-coil.
-
6 pointstruculent ( truc-u-lent ) If you were to borrow me your pickup, then I would be driving the truculent.

6 pointsHow bout "What has your Wheel Horse done to you today"?? Does that fit this thread?😄😄 Or is that a differant thread altogether? Ole Hiram got a bit out of hand this evening

6 pointsRode my Horse around for awhile in the Wasatch Range… He wasn’t red, no wheels, and he dropped some roadapples, but did a good job carrying my butt up the mountain…
-
6 pointsIn case you hadn't already gathered by the speed of this particular project I'd be into that....

6 pointsCan I not judge but offer advice? Awesome build! Those welders are many times better than new stuff once you get the hang of it. I’d suggest another full pass on every exposed seam and if it’s a stick welder drag the rod along your joint instead of pushing. Make small circles or back and forth motion to c9 plate the bead. Think 2 steps forward, one step back, repeat. They look great and this is a perfect learner’s project! Keep everything clean when you weld too, that makes all the difference in the final outcome.

6 pointsA new keyway can be put in fairly easy and use a new #15 woodruff. Second set screw is not the worst idea but will happen automatically if the hub needs to be broached. Of all the uses for JB weld this area is not one of them.
-
6 pointsJacob had his first pull of the year today! Took 5th out of 15! Only got beat by big time pullers! Only wheel horse there! IMG_0262.3gp

6 points$2000 is a fair price I’d say. As for as no mower deck I wouldn’t worry about that because switching from the mower deck to the loader is not a ten minute job. For me I’d say once you put the loader on it’s kinda committed as a loader tractor.

5 pointsAdded a 520-8 to the collection the other week, love it so far has been a great!, joins the 416h and 416-8, the grass can’t grow fast enough

5 pointsIt is legal to keep sloths as pets in some rare cases...but, the process for adopting them is so sloooooow that nobody tries ...
-
5 pointsGot my elbows in for my snorkel and also got my new filter in this 1 little bigger diameter and taller so thinking going to run this 1, just doesn't have a rain shield so was gonna make one. But then got thinking what about a large veggie can... light weight and made of metal. I know it sounds a bit corny, but I think it will work!

4 pointsLOL. I think his feelings got hurt when I was going for a differant horse to do the job. I'm thinking the stirrups may get switched over to running boards though.

4 pointsThey are tanks and with counter weight you can lift a c series. They are rated to lift 500lbs and will do it. It's the sub compact of their time. To put that in prospective a jd 445 with Fel is rated at 250 lbs lift, A ford 1520 is rated at 700 lbs lift, A new mahindra Emax 20 is rated at 620 lbs lift. So just be careful

4 pointsMy 48" deck started scalping pretty bad so I checked the trunnion adjustment-no trunnion there, just the end! Pulled the trunnion off the deck I'm not using-it's larger in diameter (both 48" decks). Checked my 42" deck, it had the larger one so I went to my other good 48" deck and it had the smaller trunnion like the one that broke so I installed that one so I could get back to work. Replaced the wheels while I was at it, the other ones were beyond worn out.

4 pointsPulled a borrowed log splitter around. Borrowed a friend's log splitter to split the chunks of birch that have been sitting in my back yard for a couple of years. He dropped it off a couple of days ago. I parked it in the shed with the Horse until I could use it, then put it back there when I got done splitting.

4 pointsGot a couple 17+ cubic foot loads of firewood out the forest today. On the second load I noticed the right front wheel wasn't behaving in a manner conducive to accurate steering. Made it back to the wood pile then down towards the outdoor workshop. Turns out the weld on the spindle that holds the tie rod mount broke off. Got it all disassembled and I'll weld it up tomorrow morning.

3 pointsFinally got around to installing a ole tractor seat pan on the grass cutter. This seat is 100% more comfortable than the previous one I had, wouldn’t think so but it is. It fits my fat ass perfectly 👌 😆
