Reminds me of "TREMORS" one of my fave flicks. The little tunnel diggers are back. I gassed them with Kohler CO about 5 years ago and this is the first they came back. I speared one last night. Do they make good pot pie? .

We have one of those rolling mechanics seats at work, but one of the wheels has been broken for a long time and it has a bad habit of dumping me over backwards when I least expect it. Yesterday was an extremely slow day, so boredom took over. I started digging in the junk pile behind the shop, and came up with a coil spring and brake rotor off of an F150, and a hub assembly off a half ton Chevy. Little bit of welding and a reproduction tractor seat and I now have a new chair. Just the right height for doing brake jobs on the ground when we don’t have a lift available, and would probably work great for wrenching on the Horses as well

Ed, I'm sure there is a Cajun recipe for them. The deference between a regular zoo and a Cajun zoo: A regular zoo has a sign in front of the animal telling you what the animal is and about it. At a Cajun zoo the sign tells you how to cook it.

Before you pull it down to hone and rings, try getting it running as is. While you have the head off, soak the top of the piston with carb cleaner, let set, soak again, wiggle the engine pulley just enough to wiggle the rings in their grooves, soak again and repeat. The idea is to free up the rings a little from years of varnish etc. Before you rotate engine enough to move the piston and distance, wipe some oil on the cylinder walls since the carb clearer will have washed it off. For just a trial run you can get by reusing the head gasket. I don't know if this really helps (but it can't hurt) sometimes for just a trial run I will do what and old farmer showed me. He would clean the head gasket, then soak it in water a few hours then freeze it. Let it thaw and reuse it. His theory was it would soak a little water inside and freezing it would expand the two layers so they had some "crush" back in them. But I would be sure and replace it if it runs and your going to keep running it.

I have five 1100s and never had a problem. I must confess, I do turn em over and pat their bottoms before I put them down for a nap.

Ahhhh, 2020, what a year! Been a whirlwind of strangeness with Covid 19 obviously leading the pack. Ran across these ---- interesting? comments about how we have been affected, I got a pretty good chuckle - which was nice for a change! 1. The dumbest thing I ever bought was a 2020 planner

yes, they are aluminum. It looks like a polish disc on a die grinder. Every head should be flat plate lapped with sand paper and oil to ensure flatness before re-installing too.

My own version of the love shack Plunge! No genny or plumbing other than a water bottle so still have to go to the bathroom like a bear. Had mom and her little one in this am for a couple of hours. Buck only country up here. Guess they are trying to increase the herd. Did have some high speed beef come thru. Possibly a buck chaseing a doe?? Way too fast for a P I so the 7mm-08 stayed silent.

years (and years) ago we cut some big trees on property my dad owned we used a winch / 'come-a-long' ? (with long cable) to pull / tension the trees to get them to fall in the desired direction ; one end hooked to the tree we were cutting and other end on a nearby tree seemed to work fairly well around 20 years ago had some big pine trees cut on our property fun to watch - guy cut branches as he climbed up the tree ... then cut sections of the trunk as he descended big guy with arms the size of my legs - no trouble to handle big chainsaw with one arm guy had a big chipper on site - and when full unloaded wood chips back of our property ... had a giant pile all was well - until the pile of chipped bark began to smoke ... oh oh ... to time to spread that bark ! we used the Wheel Horse tractors and dump carts to carry and spread the bark

Yep, fiber washer. I've found some bowls would not tighten because somewhere in the past they were over tightened and the bottom of the bowl was bent upward slightly. This usually caused the outer rim of the bowl to not be tight and leak. but you might look at the bottom of your bowl and see if the center needs a little tamp downward

Not all Series II engines have an oil filter. The one in my C175 did not. If you desire to put an oil filter on it, make sure there is a removable block off plate near the rear cylinder, by the PTO side. I bought one from a newer M18 and bolted it right to my Series II and installed an oil filter for a 2015 Ford Focus on it.

Getting back on track. Tore it down, flipped over and added a wishbone to the front. I was asking to much of that front pin. I think I started out under-building a bit

Decided with the nice weather predicted for today I contacted my neighbor last weekend to see if he was interested in removing a few trees. He retired last year from the sheet metal trade doing commercial and industrial type jobs. He owns some nice acreage around me and enjoys the challenge. The first tree to go is the Oak tree with a Maple in the v shape form in the first picture. The Maple I left but the Oak is a real pain with acorns not being able to park anything nice under it and the leaves are ridiculous. I do cut trees myself but I had an idea that this Oak with it's lean was going to pull the old barber chair trick, which it did. The second tree was a Black Birch again with a good lean, but no barber chair upon felling. The last were Pines and small Oaks located near the house. Hopefully split this up this weekend. This wood other than the pine will be used to add to future years firewood. The Husky's were singing today and the 418-A was on hand ready to help. Nothing much better on a cool fall morning and the smell of 2 stroke oil.

Don't encourage Eric to get any slower or Col..... or what ever it was! Will never be finished. If he gets any slower Trina will have to remove the rust and repaint all those parts.

Had to spread some compost over the garden before winter. The 312-8 handled it like a champ! Then set up the 418-A to plow it under.
