14 pointsI spent some time at our daughters house this past weekend. They wanted to give their kitchen, dining room and living room a more open concept by removing a wall. The son in law wasn't sure if it was load bearing and wanted my help. He had all the drywall removed when I got there but was afraid to go any further. Good move because it was definitely a load bearing wall. Time for a beam and the additional work necessary for such a situation. Early that afternoon the grandson came up to the patio door grinning and said a paint can exploded. I don't know what he was trying to paint or any details but I certainly got a good laugh. His Mom did too once she was sure the paint didn't harm anything.

13 pointsWe've gone through a fair amount of lock washers in the last couple years. Figured it was a good time to stock up. I was paying anywhere from 11 to 15 cents each by the small or medium package. Bulk pack is 4.6 cents each including freight. Good many years supply and a money savings.

8 pointsWhile working on a weight rack for the crane tractor I found that I needed to open up 3/8" holes to 25/64" or larger. If you ever had to drill a hole by the next size up or 2 in thin metal then you know the twist drill will grab and spin in the chuck or worse snap off the cutting edge. If you have access to a bench grinder this trick will solve that problem. Grind a flat at the cutting edges so that the drill resembles a spade drill. It will still drill and not grab.

8 pointsI decided I needed a way to carry some things around when working with the tractor. This is not a "Wheel Horse" attachment, but will work with any Category 1 three point. The idea came from a Kubota guy that did some great videos on how to make it. I decided to go with a Rural King "King Kutter" frame for three reasons: 1) it was red and I didn't have to repaint it to match, 2) I liked the RK mounting points better than TSC because they were mounted away from the frame farther and accept quick hitch if you use that, and 3) out of three TSC location around me, NONE had thier County Line carrier in stock. RK had three for the same price of $159. I added a hitch receiver to move utility trailers. I beefed it like the video by adding a piece of steel and routing out the underside so it sat flush. For chainsaw carrier I routed out a 2x6 enough to fit the saw bar. My rear tires are water filled, but this adds a little more weight as well. I plan to get a big HF (1K) furniture dolly to put under it when not attached because it's too heavy to slide around. I can get that for $12. A handmade one cost more than that in just wheels. Here are some pictures of the build if you could use something like this.

6 pointsI need a recommendation. I have a Wheel Horse 1067 (10hp) and a SK486 (16hp). Both are in excellent working condition. I’m 65 years old and I think this is the last year I can do fall yard cleaning with a hand leaf blower and rake. I am looking for recommendations on the most effective leaf collection yard cleaning system that I can attach to one of my Wheel Horses. I need something that can handle a half acre, six mature oak trees and a ton of acorns. Does such a solution exist????

6 pointsBeautiful machine. Great work! But did anyone else notice? It's not obvious, see if you can find it...

6 pointsAll it's needing now is fire in the hole. One months worth of my "free" time sitting there!

4 pointsI have this rig. it works very well but your yard may have a lot of obstacles. The fixed attachment is better than a pure trailer but still requires some space to maneuver. I bought the optional sucker hose i would NOT recommend it. is heavy , bulky and you really need someone on eh tractor to move it as you use the sucker hose. Now i use eh leaf blower to blow eh leaves out of eh tight areas into the open then run over them with this, Edit: oh and it is noisy with that engine right behind you ear muffs are essential.

4 pointsI picked this up, just stopping for some lunch! Wendy’s pretzel bun beer cheese spicy chicken Sammy! Yum! The brothers who sold the property were there, they told me stories that their dad bought it new and let the kids ride it around in circles in the living room until mom told them there were too many fumes in the house!

4 pointsI don't know if pigs qualify for a deer hunting post, but we got this overnight. 1) to eat and 2) because they cause a LOT of destruction.

4 pointsI don't use that type of washer much. We call them spring washers BTW. I prefer a plain washer with a nyloc nut or a drop of Loctite with ordinary nut. When I was working we had a Loctite rep visit. His recommendation was plain washer and Loctite.

4 points$200 - MUST RESIST... The ad says, "Had it running 2 summers ago, hasn’t been started since. The paint is in pretty nice shape underneath the dust. Has a 12hp kohler magnum in it and an 8 speed rear end. 3 of the 4 tires have slow leaks. Comes with a 44” mower deck. Also have the air cleaner just not pictured " Is it just me or do the controls look wrong for this model. My 89 310 has the same orange in the graphics, but the steering wheel, choke, light switch all look wrong for this series. @Bill D Aren't you looking for a local 12HP?

4 pointsI think I am back in action. I acquired this little gem last night. 110volt so semi portable. Also with it being in the teens this morning I'm getting a late enough start at work to be able to drop some stuff off at the machine shop.
-
4 pointsI'd say 150-200 lbs. or more? No, the loader/grapple/whatever you pick up weigh a lot, so more weight on the rear was what I was looking for.

4 pointslol Here is some pictures it’s far from done but it runs and drives finally I haven’t pulled a plow behind it yet but it my Chevy all around the yard last weekend sense I haven’t ran it in awhile battery’s where dead figured it was a awesome test to see if belt would slip and not a chance will be putting different rear tires on it I think 10.50 have to make a belt guard for it learned my lesson almost immediately put it in gear drove it about 3 feet and wrapped my pants in the pulley oops all is ok except the pants.. fun tractor different to drive and sounds awesome IMG_0852.MOV

3 pointsI have the 2 part metal seat with the back adjuster, I like the seat, where would I go to get the seat cover in the 2 parts that are offered? Mine is black and has a Wheelhorse logo in the center of the back cushion. I also could use the knob, I just have the bolt My seat looks exactly like these, I really like the 2 piece seat, so dont want to go to the Tractor Supply 1 piece seat if I can help it, I think the metal backed and based seat looks much cooler Regards, Stephen

3 points$ 100 an hour to rent a $ 20,000 machine that we would only use a dozen times a year is way better than owning it. Didn't you rent the dozer you used to clear a field a few months back? You should have bought it!
-
3 pointsI feel the same way, however an unexpected event made that better for me. Loaned my older Echo blower to a family member who proceeded to put gas in it without any oil. Didn't say anything and claimed it worked great for him. Against my better judgement and convinced by wife to keep the peace I said nothing. So off I go and get the latest model. Well, although this thing looks inferior to the older one, it is 75% lighter and no vibration compared to the other one. My right hand used to go numb after a few minutes with the other one and that still has to happen with this one. I can use it for hours without any noticeable effect on me where the other one would have me tired in less than one hour. I should give him the old one for Christmas.

BTW can't tell from Chris's zoom but they have these nifty stem protectors for cleaning up those often rusted out stem holes when tubing. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B081K76RDR/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

3 pointsI'm planning to be able to raise and lower this with a linkage similar to that used on snow throwers. I am currently working on gage wheels for it. Planning on having a height adjustment for the tines that will range from 1/4" below ground to 1" above ground.

3 pointsI think someone is plotting against us my Miller Thunder Bolt quit last week. It's only 50 years old I bought it in 1969. I was going to put it up on the work bench a see what was wrong but it's so heavy I can't get it up there. That thing was not that heavy 20 years ago.

3 pointsThats the DePauw University McKim Observatory 1884. I live on the high point of Greencastle, Indiana. I have an old posting somewhere about the building -do a search for McKim Observatory on Red Square and it should pop up. Very neat brass telescope made in London, England and a center timer clock mechanism to keep the telescope aligned to what you are viewing.

2 points41 years ago, when I took the Michigan “test” it was in the SOS parking lot. It was: Put on helmet. Start bike. Ride around lot once. Do figure 8 around some cones. Stop bike. Turn off bike. Get endorsement. If you can believe it, I passed!

2 pointsAs part of the demo on this machine, they showed it sewing through a dozen layers of denim. My wife says that it should sew seat vinyl. She also says that if you send a picture of you on your tractor, she can embroider it on a shirt or jacket.
