After i prepared yesterday the Frame and prime it, i did a grinding down on things i don’t need on the Shield. A short checkup ... Yap, time to rework the Blade, so today was the time to rework finally the Blade and painting the Frame to RAL3003. Lot‘s of constructions a Weldings later, i reworked the Frame again for the Aglesetup and even few try’s on fit, than i degreased the whole Shield grind it with 500 sandpaper and reprime the whole stuff. On the Blade i welded up old holes and prepare it also for some Paint. the Construction for the Angle is as simple as it can be, but for this year just manual to Setup. After all works as i expect, i begin with prime and after a Curetime of 2h i paint the whole Plow in RAL3003. Another 2 h later i be brave and try first time to mount it freshly Painted. here also again the rearmount can be seen. i drilled 2 holes in, because i want to reinforce the mounts with 2 welded round‘s i actually no have, but they be ordered allready. than i decide to continoue working on the Horsestable and find one of 5 older Lizenceplates i collected over the Times. put it immediately on the Main door. That plate was from Kentucky but i hope i find the others, they seems to be lost. one was from Chicago, one from Oklahoma, one from Seattle one from West Virginia and one from Tennessee. - hope i find them soon. Now the First Snow can come, i be prepared... Anglesetup works, looks Sharp And few pics of the Anglesetup in 30 degrees

6 weeks ago I didn't know what a Wheel Horse was, now somehow I have 2 of them. This Raider 14 and 6 weeks ago a 1971 Raider 10. This could be a bad habit.

Just went to pick this up. Seems fairly decent. I know the seat and steering wheel have been changed. I dont like where the solenoid was mounted. I dont like how the throttle cable is a foot longer then it needs to be and hangs out the side. Both the throttle and choke cables are hard to pull/push in or out. Seems to have wrong fuel line on it as it leaks by the carb. Did not come with a deck but has a plow in pretty decent shape. Also has chains for the tires that are under the seat. I am assuming they fit on the tires, we will see. Someone painted it. Wasnt done recently. Plus side is that it starts right up and runs good. Steering seems tight. Whats here is in good shape. Dont know to much about this model. Seems to be a little small for me. Not sure if they are any good pushing snow. I gave 250 for it. Figured it was worth that. Let me know what you think ! Look forward to your replys.

Pretty much the same here ... stuffed six tractors in a 10x24 rent a garage since the demise of the fake garage. Did not run them out of gas but gave each a dose of seafoam and stabil. Did pull all batteries for storage in the shop tho. Plus a Z turn and a motor cycle trailer. Left the ones out I need to love this winter. Whose idea was it to be tractor heavy anyway!?!?!?

After supper i went shortly into Shed back, to put the missing Sticker onto Steering Wheel. yap, that looks much better.. because i have 2 of them, i decide there was a missing a Branding on the Plow, for what it was made for... So i added the second onto the Center of the Blade and precutted a Sign, that will be painted, if the Red was completely cured. It finally will show‘s - Made for (Wheelhorselogo) but simply the Logo itself is also a Great Addon.

I been quiet because I started working part time at a animal rehabilitation center. Mostly dogs. We do physical therapy for dogs coming off surgeries and injuries. We also do dog boarding and Dog Day Play. Been keeping me busy. Started off working 2 days now its 4. Sat and Sun were my days to work so it put a little kink in my tractor fun. I tried going back to work at my old job but cant do it anymore because of the fumes now really bother my throat. I like working with dogs better then people now anyways !

Begun today with the Rearaxle mount for the Plowframe. get an Angleiron 40x40mm 5mm thick and drilled few Holes in it. i had a Galvanized longer part, that was enough for the both Mainparts, the counterparts are made of same Material but plain Steel. than i checked first time the look of the Frame, yap, fits... i thinkering about the Mount for the Plow, but the old mount must be grinded down, so i decided i will keep it and rework. Than Martl‘s Mom have a stop for a little talking, we had a very nice discussion and suddenly she jumps up an meant - oh, i have to rake the Leafs, Martll will pick it up in an hour and nothing is done.. i offered - be calm, i will do it quick with the Horse. So i‘m able to generate a Seattime on the 656 Horse at 17 deg.C. After that was done, i go back in Shed and continouse my Framework.. because i have started to primer one side. I can touch it, so i primered the whole rest of Frame, Than i drilled the Bolts for the Clips while primer cures. quickpaint, was in half hour touchresistant. - cool that speedup my Worktime. than i do the first Check, if i measured right.. yap, i did well, but i found that i missed the Height of the LED Lights, they be too low mounted, so they have to go up. After a hard discussion with myself, i decided to mount them in the Hood. The Plowframe works as it should and just a minimum Play sidewards, what i accept for the Quickmount. At least i reworked the whole mount and Angle fixing. so a little rework on the Frame must be done but just for the Anglechange.

I wasn't sure where to post this, since it's not WH related, so I put it here in general talk. When rebuilding a snow blower recently, I made a mistake and left a few sintered bearings in mineral spirits overnight. This is the exact process recommended to de-oil sintered bearings. "Soak ~12 hours in an aromatic solvent." Oops. I found an article online that linked to the following chart which shows the correct process for re-oiling sintered bearings. The best process is to soak in an oil bath in a vacuum chamber. You can achieve maximum oil content in around 25 minutes. The alternative is to soak in heated oil for over 20 hours. I'm not crazy about the idea of leaving oil on 150-175 degree heat for that length of time. Fortunately, my neighbor has a small 1' cubed vacuum oven. The process worked exactly as described. Almost as soon as the oven started pulling a vacuum, the bearings started bubbling, indicating the oil was displacing the air in the bearings. About 20 minutes later, the bubbling was almost gone. Another 5 or so an there was no longer any activity. Hope this helps someone else properly re-oil a sintered bearing.

My clock is easy to "Fall Back". The time piece can only be moved CCW. To "Spring Ahead", I have to stop the pendulum and restart it in 23 hours. It does take it 4-6 hours to resync. the 1/4 hour chimes and the hourly gong.

Picked up my third Wheel horse a nice 877 last night. Mr. Steve Grayson was gracious and let me buy it from him. Needs a the mule Drive, shift adjustment cover, K181 belt cover, brake and parking adjusted. no brakes at moment probably needs new shims and bushings to get rid of play for the forward and reverse. I like it. I also bought a push plow for it . (works on long or short frames). Tomorrow morning I will be picking up my fourth tractor a Wheel Horse 1054.

I've wanted to do this type of project for a while now. So here we go. The name was given by @wallfish. It will be called "The Yeti". It will be painted and badged in a military theme. The front axle is in progress now.

I have an alarm clock that is programed to set the correct time for any time zone where it is plugged in. It also was programed to reset for Daylight savings time. Unfortunately that programing was done prior to Presidents G.W. Bush and Obama making changes to DST so now that clock is off by an hour for a week in autumn and three weeks in the spring. However, my cats have impeccable internal clocks and get ne up on time every time. Now if I could only find all of that daylight that I was saving all summer long I could see what is going on outside.

Got some seat time running the Horse in high gear at 1/2 throttle towing the lawn sweep around. The leafs are dry and they burned well. Got our house, the lake house cleaned up as well as helping two of the neighbors. Lots of oak leafs still up in the trees. Will be at least one more clean up session to come.

Today was a winter prep day for me. My Suburban Rat rod and Terrance (my 857) both received an oil change. Then I ran them out of fuel and put them in hibernation. My C-145 received an oil change, a grease job and chains put on the rears in preparation for snow plow duty. Ariens walk behind snow blower got an oil change and prepped for duty. My 8000w Baldor generator received an oil change, air filter, new spark plugs, and then I ran it out of fuel & put it in hibernation. Still have a few more tractors to get ready for hibernation.
