So I usually don't ask anyone for anything, but this group, like no other, has been a rock to so many people. It all started for me with a little boy named Maxx Nunn who had cancer and wanted to sell his Wheel Horse to be able to buy a 4-wheeler. RedSquare responded and helped him and his family until his sad passing at age 7. Then when my first grandson had to undergo open-heart surgery at age 9, you all came through for him with much love and well-wishes. He is doing fine now at age 16. When I had to have spinal fusion surgery back in 2015, again RedSquare supported me. Now, unfortunately, I am asking for my wife. Many of you who attend the Big Show refer to her as Mrs. M and are familiar with her chocolate-chip cookie bars. Well, Theresa (Mrs. M) is scheduled for spinal fusion surgery on August 24. She is in tremendous pain from a large benign arthritic cyst at the L4 level, as well as some other disk issues, and can barely move at times. The date of August 24 was booked back in June, as it was the first available date and time due to Covid-19 set-backs keeping hospitals from performing major surgeries. Two weeks ago, she went for cardiac clearance and the doctor said her tests were not normal, so she is scheduled for a cardiac catheterization this Friday. If nothing major is found, the 24th surgery can proceed, however if something else more serious is found, it could delay the back surgery for months. This would be horrific. So with this in mind, I am humbly asking that my fellow brothers and sisters here on RedSquare keep her in your thoughts and prayers. I will update this thread as warranted. Thank you!

Seat on the Raider 10 was a little worn so I got a new one from one of our vertical cousins being parted out. Back was a little rusty, so I took it apart, cleaned it up, added some red paint, and it's ready for an install!

Made some good progress here today.

I picked up this C-141 hydro several years ago with the sole purpose of plowing a small suburban driveway, a task she's done perfectly. This summer we dropped a camper up on some remote family property in Maine. Previously the lawn had been taken care of by landscapers, but I saddled her with a 42" rear discharge deck and took over 3 or so acres, including some paths through the fields for the kids. Needless to say she has performed flawlessly. I tried to research this but couldn't find a firm answer: can I stick a 60" deck on C-141? The attachment mechanisms look the same to me, but I'm sure one of you knows conclusively. Thanks, Jon IMG_9342.1.mov

Model 8-3211 front mount PTO unit for 540rpm equipment like elevators. This unit replaced the earlier PTO-66

Changed the oil and filter on the transaxle for the 418-A today and found something different, the date, # of hours on machine and the # of filters replaced that the original owner engraved on the filter. I assume this was done when the Kohler M18 was removed and the KT-17 installed. I purchased this from the 2nd owner who has only had this since March and was hoping to restore it but like many of us owns other WH 's and decided to sell it. Date 11-13-01 #6 704 hours , tractor shows 967 on the hour meter and seems to run real strong and tight, sometimes looks don't show the real truth. Real tough tractors those Wheelhorse's.

Worked on the super C abit tonite. Welded up the broken tab on the belt guard and adjusted the direction cam. Sorry no pic but a Kodak moment with the 1055!

Bendix wheel horse radio. These radios were made in the early 70’s for various brand garden tractors. They are AM only and mounted on the hood

The tins on this tractor had been previously repainted, but nothing else, and it showed. Definitely rode hard and put away wet many times in it's history. Such a nice running tractor, felt the old girl deserved a little love.

while looking for an erratic starting issue , i found a corrosive dust in wiring, was going to rewire 5 point connector at ignition switch, connector was trashed. found out its an OREGON PART , # 33 - 350 , 5 WAY MULTIPLE CONNECTOR , FOR IGNITION SWITCHES , MADE IN USA ! $ 7.00 , DELIVERED. got it from www. PITTAUTO.COM. ALSO PICKED UP THE TAB INSERT WIRE CONNECTORS , that bind fit into connector , for easy plug on to switch. do that tomorrow, pete

Yes a plug in starter . Just like Tecumseh made for some of its motors in the 1960's and 1970's.Dalez.

Dalez yea it’s an electric starter option for the K-90/k91 that was found on rj’s and suburbans but is pretty hard to find. It is chain driven and is 120vac

Is that an electrical plug at the end of the pulley cover?

The PTO-66 was introduced in 1966 to cater to the small farm. You could run 540rpm equipment like elevators on the farm with your garden tractor to keep your big tractors out working in the fields. This style is mid mount and is chain driven.

HL-22 lights were used for a short time in the early 60’s as an option for roundhoods. the same style light was also used in early 953 tractors

Bringing this seriously off topic topic back on track 😁 I had a sh!t job this weekend adding another feed into the septic tank. 3 hours laid down core drilling diagonally through two layers of engineering brick. then if that wasn’t bad enough the wheelbarrow fell over as I was emptying the mixer 🙁

Once the 416-8 arrives I will get them all out for a photo shoot, might even suit them up with attachments - quite proud of my little herd 😊

Take a look at the right side foot rest, if it has been bumped in a little it can catch the clutch idler a little causing it to jerk, happened to mine.

This one’s for all the hot rodder souls out there, wondering why in the world someone would want a 4 cylinder turbo in a truck... It’ll still light ‘em up... This might have happened a week or so ago. It could’ve kept on keepin’ on... the pedal got lightened up to regain traction but it kept wanting to break ‘em loose

As avid mountain hikers, Trina and I have been to the highest points in Maine and New Hampshire and many many of the surrounding hills. I can't quite see Europe from here. I'm sure it's close.

Its 4 am here and we are under a large thunderstorm cell. Lots of lightning and thunder which is stressing the dogs out. So we are all sitting up reading lol. Been waiting for it for days.

I bought this 520H probably about 10 years ago for parts, mainly the front axle. I had the idea I would swap it into my 314-8. The right front tire/rim was crushed by something (you see the replacement in the pic). Before I rolled it off my trailer in it’s outdoor in the weather parking spot, I figured I’d put some gas down the carb and a battery and see if it would fire. To my surprise it did - for a quick few seconds. So it’s been setting, sometimes with tarps and other times without - on the shelf. i needed to get another WH going and decided I’d try this one. New gas line, fuel filters, replacement front rim/tire, engine and transmission fluids and filters, spark plugs (air cleaner was good) and it fired off. Put a 42” rear discharge deck on and mowed some grass today. I tell my wife that these unrepaired tractors I have laying around are like good books on the shelf with chapters yet to be read. The 520H w/ 709 hrs came off the shelf for some reading this week...👍

Thanks for the response guys. ACman thanks so much for the offer. I called Lowell at wheelhorsepartsandmore as c-series don recommended. He had what I needed and I ordered a new set. I feel like a dummy because it seems like a simple fix but I never looked that closely at the steering before. I'm still learning.

Well, a few days ago I went to my local park to remove the seating from a basketball court which is constantly being vandalised. Its made of weld mesh panels and i cut them out with a disc grinder. We used the panels to reinforce a section of fence youths have damaged. Over night the steel panels mysteriously found their way back to the seats, rebuilt by the teenage vandals responsible for the seats being removed in the first place. So I had to remove them permanently today and cart the steel back home. The yoofs were most annoyed as this was their space we were dissing. Funny I thought we paid for it through our taxes. And its a play area for small children to use not for teens to hang out, do drugs and fumble in each others underwear. But anyway, yoofs threatening me with violence apart I now have a lot of weldmesh and steel bar to play with. I also have a nice new John Deere ride on mower gifted to our community group from the park group in thanks for the work on the play area.

It's for extra speed when going to get the milk at the head of the driveway 😊

Makes my bathroom job look a bit weak lol. Finishing leg now, all fittings in so its just sealing and finishing off. Been doing other things too so thats why the length of time its taken.

Well....my son made me get more tractors today! Lol These were put to rest in the woods and were a royal pain to get them to our trailer. They are pretty rough but the decks seem good. They may turn out to be donor tractors. At very least we saved them from the crusher.
