17 pointsSince we haven’t been able to take any of our tractors to shows this year, Emory wanted to have our own show. We moved 24 of our tractors to a field at Dad’s and camped out with them. Emory had a blast! I’ll be glad when we get back to real shows though! i had to go help a fellow tractor club member cut a poplar tree today. Afterwards we all went to his shop and looked around. I found a surprise sitting in one of his sheds and he wanted to know if I wanted to buy it. I asked about the price and he said $75! I couldn’t pull the money out of my wallet fast enough!! Bought a little Bolens walk behind tractor with cultivator. It’s even still wearing its original paint. Emory was thrilled when I got back with it!!

16 pointsA few photos of the 89 312-8 in July one month after delivery of what started it all. Summer day under the Maple Tree with a cold Miller High Life beverage ( lower left ) . Plan on Mowing with it today and after cool down wash and apply a coat of Meguiar's and back in the garage till next time. Nice to be able to depend on the same tractor 31 years later for helping out around the yard for many different types of use thanks to the Ponds.

11 pointsThis young girl is 30 now. I can't even believe it. The 310 refurb I am doing now is going to be her tractor to maintain the property in Mass. A little bit of a down grade from the 520-H pictured here but sometimes life forces the sale of things we own but I still have her which means so much more to me than a 520.

10 pointsHI all, Looks like I have fallen into being a lawn mower guy. A local resident posted on social media he needed a mower fixing. Turns out there are no repair shops anywhere nearby. So I offered to have a look at it. Mountfield self propelled, bit old and tatty but essentially sound and looked after. Cable clamp had broken so just needs replacing. Charged him a fair price and he's over the moon. Now I'm getting more calls... Maybe I can make a bit of pocket money at this. Mick

10 pointsFirst if all I'd like to thank @Stepney Spenser for connecting us with another Wheelhorse. This one is believed to be a 68 Raider. 6 speed so it should have an LSD transmission. Needs some TLC like mouse house removal and general maintenance. Runs and drives well just as it is.

10 pointsWe are building a shop/tool shed onto our covered building at the homestead our club maintains. We needed just enough boards to finish the front. We plan to cut them Tuesday on the 150 year old sawmill that we have restored. We finally got our dust chain up and running to carry the sawdust out from under the blade a couple of weeks ago and this will be it’s first real test.

10 pointsApparently this tractor was spotted leaving the scene of a bank robbery in Unionville, the driver was wearing a mask. Authorities suspect Mafia involvement. If you have any information please contact the Unionville police.

8 pointsafter tearing the commando 6 all done, and buying some odds and ends for the 68 sears suburban, then looking at my 57 bolens up on blocks, I realized this it, the last 3 of the project tractors. I started this a years ago I wanted to restore another car, but time, kids, work and available space, so the inlaws had an old porter cable garden tractor I decided to rebuild that, then i was hooked. I always wanted a panzer so I bought one, then saw another porter cable, next thing I knew I was doing a bunch of restorations and buying. I stopped buying at 12 tractors then took in 4 other orphan tractors, I decided that's enough. 16 is enough. after I finish these last 3, I am hoping to now have time just to enjoy running/showing them more. it's been a fun and educational ride, my first rule when I started was to learn and do everything myself. bodywork, paint, mechanical etc.. learned alot, spent alot

7 pointsThat could be hazardous to your health! After doing sixteen tractors your system will go completely out of wack if you don't inhale paint fumes and bust a knuckle or two from time to time.

7 points@seven Here is a picture of some "yard art" that adorns the front lawn a local residence. Share this picture with your wife & maybe she'll realize that things could be worse. Personally I kinda like this pile of art.

7 pointsYeah... I can understand her concern... that flower pot and bench just don’t seem to be placed right... maybe trim the tree?

6 pointsBuilt my gas tank. And batt box. Well. I helped. My welder buddy did the welding and he cut the logo. I plasma, drew it out and tacked. Idk about logo, but tank and box going on pulling horse. Yes I know the fuel cap is dog ugly. But it'll work. Also the stainless AC duct he had was a little larger that imagined at 7". Well see what it looks like on the tractor

6 pointsYears ago this older fellow a retired tailor received a brochure in the mail for the Vancouver boat show, he decided to attend, he purchased a Boston Whaler. At the time i had met him, he asked me if I liked fishing, of course I said yes, he phoned me the next Friday evening to arrange a trip for the next morning. When he arrived at my house with boat in tow, had me drive from there to the ocean to where I would back the trailer and boat into the water. This went on from early spring into mid summer when one day I told George, Saturdays were my busy days for sales and that I could not afford being out fishing. His reply was, you just back the boat into the water, my pension comes in whether I'm siting at home or here on the water and i would prefer to be on the water. Anyhow one day asked George how long he had the boat, this is when the boat show story came out, he told me he purchased the boat at the show then when he came home with it his wife gave him an ultimatum either the boat goes or she goes. He laughed saying that was 17 years ago and I still have the boat. The Boston Whaler looked like a duck punt, measured 13 ft, long and had a 50 horse Merc attached to her stern, very fast boat.

6 pointsWe have something here similar to the 38th parallel rule. I can have one tractor near the house, the rest of my stuff stays up on the hill at the shop. It has worked out pretty good. And really, It isn't like you degreased a Kohler Engine in the bath tub or something.....
-
6 pointsSeems close... what the heck... go for it... you guys can play “dualling loaders” on the front lawn!!! Two things to address before the deal though: Can Riley handle another maintenance responsibility? And... Wrong color...

5 pointsI was so broken hearted over selling my 48 M, that I upgraded...to a 1953 Super M on propane with a single front wheel. Got a good deal on it at a friend of mines estate sale, his daughters wanted his tractor to go to a good home...put a battery in it filed the points and she came to life after sitting several years. Now for the bad, the transmission won’t shift into any gear...hoping it’s not a major issue...have to get a friend of mine to bring his tractor over in the morning and drag it the rest of the way up in the yard. We got it as far as we could before we buried the truck in the sand

5 pointsA side shot of the 312 & C-120 parked in front of the same tree, a Crimson King Maple that I planted in 1988. The picture of the 312 was in 1989 and the 120 2 years ago. It is a wonderful shade tree to sit under to get out of the sun.

5 pointsAwesome in all respects! I like Craigs idea. Do it again next summer when hopefully we can gather again.

5 pointsSorry I'm a day late but here's my front and shot Friday. Just got this 16 horse back together and sit on my charger 16.

5 points@ohiofarmer Here is a picture of the 312-8 taken 2 hours ago after a lawn mowing, wash, wax and put to bed. Only difference is the 48'' deck off the 520 and the original 42'' deck is stored. Thanks for your interest.

5 pointsI personally think that they are great for storage, but horrible for looks. Many HOA's forbid them for obvious reasons. I had a Pack-Rat storage container in my driveway while I was redoing the garage. It has roof insulation to prevent the "rain". If zoning doesn't have a problem, but the neighbors do, you might want to make it look like something else.
-
5 pointsTwo things, do you have a FEL already (yes), do you really need it (no), the answer is obvious, Do It .
-
5 pointsOh, but be aware, don‘t do this on a hot summerday next to a Barbecue, because it stinks. 😂 Except you can fast run.. 😎 smells like a Oiling Engine.
-
5 pointsGot to have it. Unless mold, mildew and rust are a non issue for you.

5 pointsGot the 310-8 up and running this morning, brought the side covers and footrests back to Maine from Mass to start on those. Was nice to hear it run and the tranny swap from the C-85 seems like it will do the job.

4 pointsBought this 1986 312-8 in 2000 and decided to do a makeover. This tractor had just over 1000 hours but the engine and trans were still very strong. Included were a 48'' dozer blade, 42'' RD deck,AG tires, chains and a cart that is seen behind my C-120 in other photos on here that I kept. I learned a lot about WH tractors doing this as I feel it was a very positive experience and still remember the time and effort it took to make it come out right.

4 pointsBusy day today as we poured the middle slab for the shed. It was 2 1/2 cubes in the end, quite thick and with reinforcing mesh - don't think it is going to break any time soon. The little wheelhorse did an amazing job, bringing up materials. I had 300 kg of cement in the trailer on one run and it didn't even notice it. Later in the evening we started cladding the framed up walls, easier to do on the ground. We stood it up for a quick check to make sure it looks ok, then took it down again. It's slow going but we will get there!

4 pointsThe high cube is 12” taller. 8’6” for standard and 9’6” for high cube. Where I got mine it wasn’t much more at all for the extra ceiling space. Plan on foam ceiling with 2x4 cross bracing for lights and maybe even a ceiling fan or two 😁

4 pointsI've been without a computer for over a week and is this all I come back too?

4 pointsIt's the yellow seat on the red tractor isn't it? That doesn't match. Maybe turn the flower pot just a bit towards the tree.

4 pointsJim took this one of us on Saturday up at the Symco Thresheree. It was a hot day but fun to be able to spend it with my family and friends...
