12 pointsMy hair salon has been closed since February so I haven't had my beard trimmed or my hair cut since last December. Yesterday I hopped in my truck and started to back out looked in the rear view mirror and was startled by this rough looking character staring at me . Then I realized the wife had used my truck and had moved the mirror and I was me. Thank God my nail salon has opened back up . Stay Safe.

7 pointsSeeing @Achto’s new set of corn hole boards, I figured I’d share mine that my wife had made for me last year...

7 pointsI've been cutting my own for 30 years. After chemo it grew back curly. Can't bring myself to cut it now.

6 pointsI found them!!! They were in the first place I looked I only have pictures when I tore it apart. Nothing of the finished product. These were taken with a lousy camera circa 1995ish. My son in the pic was about 5 or 6. I had to replace the center section to accommodate the starter. About 30 miles from me was a tractor grave yard that had the section and flywheel with the ring gear. I also had to repair the leaking front seal and cover gasket. You can see the hand brakes in the last pic along with the cheezy box and chair that was the seat. @tunahead72 In the pictures I also had a pic of my 69 Caprice before I put on the super whoopy Hercules HP4000 tires! I put it in the Corvairs thread!

6 pointsThose look great Kevin. I had Terry print up the final touches for mine. @Vinylguy Please show off the awesome boards that you made.

6 pointsWell in the three years since I did get a big block stuffed into a short frame! Couple of pics here just to keep them off your back Caddy! Still havent got the planned V61's on the front tho!
-
6 points@71_Bronco by all means do what it takes to get another young lady in on the tractor scene! Our next generation needs this vintage equipment to last for many many more years... what better way to let the ladies find their passion in a mostly guys’ world?!
-
5 pointsMe too - Been cutting my own for years... I have both a face and a hair cut made for radio...

5 pointsNo actual updates. Between having two little boys, moving and remodeling the a house, changing careers mid pandemic there just aren’t enough hours in a day. I have been collecting more parts but I lack the time/motivation to do anything with it.

5 pointsVan loaded, heading north again 😊 Mower deck has a couple of fractures but otherwise looks in ok shape, certainly salvageable. It comes with a grass sweeper - awesome! Wheelhorse has seen better days but it all looks very original, no bodged jobs on it. Will put fresh oil in, clean carbs and see if it runs once we get home. Great to meet Mick, pity we couldn't hang around long.

5 pointsGo to go on Lake Michigan today. We hooked 5 and brought home 4. Here is the big one...8 lbs. COHO.

4 pointsBought this 1986 312-8 in 2000 and decided to do a makeover. This tractor had just over 1000 hours but the engine and trans were still very strong. Included were a 48'' dozer blade, 42'' RD deck,AG tires, chains and a cart that is seen behind my C-120 in other photos on here that I kept. I learned a lot about WH tractors doing this as I feel it was a very positive experience and still remember the time and effort it took to make it come out right.

4 pointsPicked up a what I am pretty sure is a Wheel Horse dump cart 7-2211 or LTD-244 although someone tried real hard to cover any evidence of it being WH. Paid a whole $50 so pretty happy about that! I think someone must have sandblasted it to repaint it because I can't find any trace of red on it. Just green and maybe some sealer underneath. It does look like there is paint over some pitting as well. They did a dang good job, it doesn't DA like rattle can but I did see a couple of small runs that look like they are from a rattle can. Wheel are yellow with primer underneath but there is paint on the tire and valve stem, so they probably didn't pull the tires. I have some new tires that will be perfect for this, we will see whats inside when the tires come off. Just have a bit of straightening to do and dings to dolly out. Not gonna be a show trailer, just a nice worker with some Grandkid hauling duty on the side!! Here is a bunch of pics that will show just how complete they repainted it.

4 pointsMy own hair care routine never skipped a beat because Trina cuts my hair for me and does a good job at it. My only issue is that I still seem to look pretty rough even right after she neatens me up some....

4 pointsFinally found the correct mule drive for the 60" deck for a decent price and got it installed on the 520-H. Reduction steering is next. (Once the grass quits growing) IMG_0440.mp4

3 pointsHi all. I have just been gifted a couple of old decks to play with. They are fairly well rusted but the bearings and blades are OK as are the attachment mountings. I plan to make a new deck shell from scratch and use the old hardware to get it working. Are new blades available? Or shall I find a suitable sized blade to base the new deck on? Are there any pitfalls to avoid when rebuilding a deck? Never done anything like this so any advice would be more than welcome. Mick

3 pointsThe sweeper, it's in ok condition - no idea how to get it to work properly but will hook it up to Marie's wheelhorse in the morning and have a play.
-
3 pointsif its a newer to me tractor, by the time I pull the carb to get to the breather and adjust the valves. From there I know it not much more work, so I usually find myself pulling the head to decarbon, then I pull the valves to decarbon the stems. Reassemble and I khow everything on the top end is as good as I can get it.
-
3 pointsI'm home. Grabbed everything out of the van for some quick photographs. Checked fluids, all good so turned it over on the starter - all nice and free. Need to hook up an external fuel tank in the morning and see if I have spark and then try get this thing running. There is no key but I think a screw driver will work for now. You guys can judge the machine based on the photographs 😊 It ended up being an 850 mile round trip trip, but another wheelhorse in the stables has to be worth it. Now I just need to get all of mine looking half as good as Mick's!

3 pointsWas at Walmart and popped into the paint section. Came across this color that I liked. I also was digging the satin finish and thought it would look pretty neat, especially contrasted with black.
-
3 pointsThanks man! I basically marked the cam gear with tape and a pointer as a reference, then rotated further and further back from the line, removing about .020 off the base circle. It left a bunch of narrow, straight cuts that I smoothed out with a fine file and a mandrel to keep it dead flat, the finished off with 400 and a quick polish. If this thing wont pull a greasy string out of a cat's ass when its done, it was still a lot of fun to experiment!

3 pointsThat definitely sounds like that needs to be done. If it were mine I would while you were in there adjust the valves. To do all that the carb would also need to come off.

3 pointsI get my hair cut once a year, weather I need it or not. This year I had to wait an extra month or more. Thankfully hair places opened up before I had to take matters into my own hands.

3 pointsI got a 39 Allis B when my dad needed a tractor with mower to do his huge back yard that he insisted on mowing every week. He would spend 3 hrs on a Sears rider before that. I had to switch it over to electric start. Had to replace the center section for the starter hole. I was working at Napa so I got the starter, solenoid, switch from there. Friend welded up a nice battery box. I made a swivel seat out of a lunch counter stool and built steps so you could climb up the back sit down and spin around to the front. This was about 27 years ago. I got pictures in a drawer somewhere.
-
3 pointsThanks for clearing that up Richard. I've been wondering for years how that happens.
-
3 pointsI just heard that one, had to use it before I forgot it! here is part 1 and 2, for your sharpest stick viewing pleasure!
-
3 pointsPulled the 854 deck today. Went from this... to this in less than an hour. Long way to go, but we're starting to see it's potential.
-
3 pointsGot the block and valves done. Cam is going out for heat treatment, rod will be cryo’d, then she’s ready to assemble.
-
2 pointsRotating assembly balanced closer to 50%, Short block done, valve rotators eliminated, head milled and unshrouding roughed in, etc... Used a K241 head so there would be plenty of room for mods/material removal and not lose a bunch of compression due to it. Sitting at 9.1:1 currently, so plenty more wiggle room for chamber work. The goal is 8.25:1 give or take a couple tenths.
