Jay @roadapples needed a brake lining, so he and his brother made the short trip down from PA to pick it up in person. While here, they were the first RedSquare members to see my new pole building in person. Thanks for the visit, and thanks for buying a brake lining.

The newest member of my herd came to me from our very own @Vinylguy. A big bonus to this acquisition was @WHX24 & I getting to hang out with Terry & Lola at their fantastic camp site / Summer home. It did needed a little TLC. After a new flywheel and a couple of minor adjustments to meet my personal tastes it is right as rain. I took my first week of ownership to make the repairs so that I would be able to take my new tractor to a show the following weekend. My future plans for this tractor is to repaint the S/G belt guard and the fan shroud on the engine. The rest of the paint and the custom decals are in great shape so the only other things on the menu are to maintain & love it. Without further ado and a big thanks to Terry, I'd like to introduce "Terrance" my new 857.

Found this 416-8 on Craigs list at $200.00 The seller says or best offer.I respond with $150.00.He accepts and informs me he has 2 other running WHs for sale.I ask what they are and he says a 312-8 with a Kohler M12 and a Work Horse wih a Kohler M !2.He says both run but they need tires and a battery.Heard that before but he wants $100.00 for the pair.We come to an agreement and he delivers all 3 for $270.00.Just what I needed more ugly.By the time he drops off the goods I am running out of daylight so more pictures will come Tuesdaty Two of the machine have Brinley hitches and he dropped an additional 42SD in the yard as well.

Messed around with my '56 Copar Panzer today. Trying out a set of W-H round hood fenders for size. With a little modification, I'm thinking they just might work.

I've had dozens come to me for repair work after actual shops gave up.. 99% of the time they may or may not run semi OK but .. not well. The rest of the time it simply won't run at all. Funny Mr. Miller's name has come up so much recently.. If another member doesnt have one around, I'll check my horde, may have a rebuildable one I'd be willing to rebuild and bush, test out on an engine, and send your way if you were game. Done that a time or two in the antique sled world.

While Rylee raked the lawn... I used Stormy and the ARK 500 to scoop up the trimmings. Jane the Commando 6 came out to haul it all away.

Just to make it clear to those concerned I am not parting all three. The only one that might donate some parts for my other tractors would be the 312-8.

I bought 2 Chinese carbs, one for my C-160 and it was junk. Nothing changed no matter how you adjusted the needles. The one for a 8hp kohler worked fair. I now do my best to find used kohler carbs and rebuild them and bush the throttle when needed.

Seller insisted on delivering them.I got them on the trailer and I don't want to take them to work he says..It took me almost 2 months to get Lil Ugly to get to where I could work it.I became aware of the cost of even he littlest missing parts so parts tractors it is.

Keeping our fields mowed down so they don't get over grown with junk. We just mow it and let go back into the good old earth.

Spent the last few days sprucing up this Schwinn. All original paint, seat, lite grips and baskets. Cleaned up the chrome and put new tires on her. 26"...I think it is from the 1970's. It had the tan side walls on her.

No wonder the seller was smiling when he left! It's ok, it'll buff out.....

No that's better than comedy! I hope PITA doesn't see this!

I’m..... ashamed to even talk about the shape of our garden! Let’s just say... with all the travel the last three weeks, the weeds are as high as the tomatoes! We have however been getting a decent bounty out of the jungle of a plot! We planted way too many zucchini and the cucumbers are a funny breed that grow long but don’t fill out much. The girls love ‘em, I guess that’s all that matters! We’ll be having that spaghetti squash for dinner I imagine.

I remember the day I dragged four uglys home from the auction. I paid $25 for the fist one and got the next three for $5 each. I forget the models, but they were all had K engines and were moving on their own in a week and moved on to new homes in a month. And yes, I also sleep pretty well Jim.

No knowledge of his carbs guy but I have pretty good luck with the China knock offs. After all this is a hobby for some of us so we have to cut corners to be able to buy more tractors. We do appreciate you wanting to stay American tho.

The mower deck on the 416 had me puzzled when I first got it off the machine. All the mounting hardware had surface rust and patina. When i got the deck cleaned up I realized that it recently had a new deck shell installed. The blades have not been resharpened and still have most of their paint as does the bottom of deck.

$270 for a couple of 42"SDs, a clevis hitch, a sleeve hitch, and some mule drives. You did OK. Oh yeah, and three free tractors.

I save tractor carbs are not made in USA. i bought one for a K341 never could get it to run right. Have had mixed success/failure with much cheaper Chinese carbs.

Nice work on the scratch built model. Lot of work going in there. No there is no 3d printing, he carves his own wooden patterns and casts them himself. He's quite an artist.

Those cucumbers look like our Straight 8's this year. We are returning home today after having been gone since the 17th..... I have a feeling our garden will be growing a good crop of weeds by now. I am hoping that the okra is producing now.

every time i read the same problem , i usually send the best carb experience i have had , https://isavetractors.com/?gclid=EAIaIQobChMIm7qBh-_v6gIVq9SzCh0gawLNEAAYASAAEgIjC_D_BwE , this is the best carb that i ever gotten from a net site. the carb was sealed in a plastic bag , was installed , and has never been touched for adjustment or running issues. my experience is that for the money , its so worth it , instant starting , no problems , no issues , worth a look , pete

Hope her mechanical skills are better than her painting I bought another mower. Somebody stop me! Its a honda engined commercial unit but the alloy deck is shot. I'll have a good look at whether its a fixer up or a parts donor.

The 8hp will .. just barely pull a 42" at a slow speed. Forget the 48" but it will mount up. You'd be best suited to keep it on the 14hp.

Ok. I usually don't get that much attention about the GT 14 but ....inquiring minds want to know...so happy to comply.... I'm sure you will appreciate this "true rebel" down here in Georgia! The guys on this forum warned me... I now have the GT 14 and 2 - C120's....addiction has struck! Good luck with rebel.

It's amazing how resilient those machines are to death. A lot of people don't want to scrap them and don't know how to work on them and sell cheap. And then you have those sellers that know of something but won't tell. I remember talking to a guy that had one and it was for sale for over a month. I was in the mood to buy something so shouted out to him. After a little conversation, I got it leaks oil at the rear seal on one side but the rest is okay and runs. So doing a little math it was a bargain even needing repaired. Drove an hour and yep it was pretty nice. Sitting in the garage, oil soaked cardboard underneath, (actually looked like a crime scene not in the pics), and a new box store JD just beyond. Got it home, started working on the seal, you could see were he tried to fix it and the seal was damaged from a screwdriver or something. the hub was worn, shaft was okay, and a new seal fixed the leak. Why would he just not tell me the whole story. ??? JA good purchase, if the seller is happy and buyer too, it is all a win!

I do remember reading threads of some members here using isavetractors carbs with no complaints. l myself have not used normans carbs but wouldnt hesitate. I would steer clear of the Chinese carbs. The inlet fittings are metric threads and the old ones wont fit the new one.

I have been fortunate in three different deals starting in early May. I seen a 312-8 A on Cl, ascking two hundred, also a power bagger attachment on a 48 side discharge. Came with the house current owner bought. He thought the transmission had problems, I gave him the two hundred , well worth it, adjusted the transmission, been using all summer cutting grass. Best paint of all my tractors, all the electrical work, 730hours. Then I got a 311-8 from a woman that it was given to her by her father. He passed and she put it in a shed covered it, that was five years ago. I gave her seventy five for it, have not had time for it yet. Then this past week a got a 518-H. With a bad oil leak, for fifty, 1200hours, nice side discharge, pain is good. Quick look, I think someone over filled the oil, came out of carb. Have not further investigated. Same people had a T-1067 running no deck, bad paint, paid seventy five for it. Very cool runs great, needed a bunch of adjustments and cleaning up, lighter works. I also picked up a 520 H 1996 with 2200hours on it, P O said motor was locked up. I did get it to turn over, but been sitting for many years, need to drain gas and oil, clean it up good before I do anything else. Have not had time. Been a bad summer health wise, infected kidney stone, antibiotics for two weeks but still got bad blood inflection when they removed it. In the hospital for seven day's, then three more days of antibiotic infusion at infusion center. Just got out this past Thursday, supposed to take it easy, some follow up appointments next two weeks. Been very hot in the Berkshires, played around with the 1067in the barn, much cooler, running and looking good.

Just an observation, but if you towed a couple plastic slide-a-boggans with @pullstart and the girls riding along with some rebar in each hand... might get the same effect for free...and some great video...
