Cleaned my deck using a descaler and now coating it with this stuff I had here left over from keeping my old Toyota truck from falling apart. This stuff works really well. No more rust once it’s applied. It’s almost like an epoxy.

long story short, new neighbors up the road 4 houses away cleaning up the property said they found something in the woods, they were going to junk it. to bad the grill was gone. I have some junk rims and tires that I will mount up to it. it will make a nice addition to one of the gardens unless I get some stupid idea to try restore it

I think we have enough exhaust parts to make us a cool stack! We’re going to stick a muffler in there too.

So this morning I took the snow thrower off the 16 Automatic and hooked up the york rake and regraded the driveway. Tomorrow after it has a chance to dry out a bit I plan on using the grader blade and smooth it out a bit more.

Welcome to the 'hood Jason... mines a bit better shape but still a project. Definitely the odd ball in my herd. I have a feeling it might go down the road tho. The horses I got that need love might be years 'for it's even on the skedule. I did get the K141 to run. @CasualObserver has got first dibs. There's a few manuals on GT talk but not much out there you get the hair to resto. Even a carcass like that is a rare find.

I had to have new septic tank drain lines installed..Oh joy! The contractor started yesterday morning, and my once relatively nice backyard is now a real mess. With 3 dogs, no grass, and lots of rain, it will be a mess for a while. I got the Raider 10/14 out and put the wheel weights and blade on it to smooth out some of the dirt after the contractor left. Apparently when you tell millions of people to stay home it has a direct impact on fuel prices. Here is a picture from my home town. On my way to support a local restaurant in a town 10 miles to the west of me I spied this sign. Plus my Shell rewards card knocked another 5 cents per gallon off. Honestly it has been a long, long time since I've filled a tank on a pickup truck for less than 20 bucks.

You always run around with gals on topless tractors Kev or the other way around!?! Looks like today I and a few others worked on our tractors instead of out joyriding .. I was with Muz on deck work for a special project tractor....shut up EB ....how one can operate without a POWER WASHER not mentioning names....ahemm.. is beyond me.

The plan is to have Rylee laying a bead of weld on her project by the end of the day. Her mother’s idea I think the muffler is backwards, but I have a feeling it’s still just holes and baffles and should work fine either way.

Unfortunately one of the parts that arrived today for the differential was wrong and I'm going to try and find another spider gear. After comparing the one that I thought was good with a new one it's apparent that it is badly worn. On a good note the new drive shaft was finished so I drove to Sioux Falls and picked it up. In this photo you can see the new and old shafts together.

So it was time again to remove cab and blower which went unused this winter. Cab is really a pain by myself both to remove and to store. Not wanting to break it apart again, I thought of lifting it right off the tractor in one piece. Devised this simple rig attached to my collapsible lean-to. Worked really well. Removed cab in minutes. Simply unbolt it from tractor and lift one side a little each time until all the way up. Then simply drive tractor out. To install will just be the reverse. I may move this to a more permanent location eventually so I can lower lean-to if I have to.

Side note on my little girl’s beautiful smile above... I as a wise and honest father, I’ve taught my children to “smile like you just farted on your sister!” It really does great making their “try to smile hard” into a genuine smile

We all know that locking pliers are the junk yard dog of tools, but we would not want to be without them. petersen Vice Grips were the original brand and a well made product until irwin bought them out and made them in China. For less expensive brand, Pittsburg from Harbor Freight is a bargain....until you try to turn the adjusting screw that changes the jaw opening that is. I thought that the threaded portion of the screw maut be garbage, but it really is fine for the purpose. Here is how to fix it.. Unthread fully the adjusting screw and look at how rough it is on the end. take a mini grinder with a well used flap wheel sander and try to create an end that looks like a half ball bearing. Now look at the horribly rough end of the lever shaft that the lever that connects to the jaws and grind a radius on it. If you want to go one step further you can plish both pieces with an abrasive fiber disc. It was a night and day difference on the three sets that I did. Five minutes or less completes the job If you have any kind of skill level, those locking pliers will function as well as the originals. If you try it and like it please take some before and after pictures. Farmer out

Rylee decided she wants a straight up pipe, slash cut all cool and whatnot. What? No flapper like Daddy? Nope. The cool thing is that we’ll be able to utilize the 3 bolt flange on the stainless pipe to bolt the stack on and remove it as needed for transport, etc. on the exhaust outlet, I played a bit on the lathe while she did some chores and cut a shoulder in a real heavy big washer and pressed it on to the pipe. It’ll be welded on, drilled as needed and some backer nuts added.

Ever since I rebuilt my Wheel Horse C-125's engine, I could never get it to run as I'd like it. Idling was the main issue. I've been working on it of and on, but just lately it's been hard to start. Today I decided to swap the carb for a reconditioned one I got off Richard. (Anglo Traction). Getting it going and warmed up, I played around with the mixture screws, until I got it running something like. Still wouldn't start like it should and I found the spark plug dry. It has a primer bulb fitted BTW and usually three squeezes and away it would go. I was having to juggle the throttle and choke till it would fire up. I'm going to try another pump. I also checked the points gap. That was ok. 18-19 thou. The starter motor had started sticking as well and seem a tad lazy. That was removed and I found the gears on the Benndix a bit worse for wear. Also the bearing on the Bedix end, has some play. Motor is now on the bench and if/when I can, I'll see if I can rebuild it. I had a spare starter motor somewhere. Now found and fitted. After fitting it I tried starting the engine. Usual thing. No change. Juggle! Jiggle! Ay up! What's that spark doing there? Where you ask? Engine end of the P.T.O. operating rod. Best check engine to chassis earth. Broken cable found. Tucked away at the back of the engine, below the starter motor. The eye on one end had broken off. New cable now fitted and also more accessible. That's as far as I got. Tomorrow I'll see how things go. If starting is not any better, I'll fit another pump and maybe check valve clearances.

I’ll have to root around in the glove box of my GTO...I know that I have a couple of receipts in there showing the fuel prices around $1.35 per gallon (however—that was nearly 20 years ago). It is weird to see them this low...good for my pocketbook but not for our overall economy. Sure hope this craziness comes to some sort of an end soon...before this country is REALLY in a financial “hurt locker”...

Come on up Jeff!!! That would be a blast for sure...grab @19richie66 and one of his big wheels (with 12” plow) and roll on north stopping short a few hours from Canada! Jim and Cindy sure know how to throw a great PD and it would be awesome to have even more folks from the forum involved. Of course, we’d need even more field to turn...🤔

Excellent find! I'd never heard of Amigo tractors, but i just read up on them some. Formed by a couple of guys at the DEMCO corporation in a small shop, and eventually sold to AMF. There don't appear to be many (less than 100) out there from what I read. I'd ask your neighbors if they've come across any of the sheet metal for it!

bad move - now the tractor can only be run in reverse hmmm ... but that kid looks a tad crazy - maybe not a problem ?

8 speed to 8 speed... that should be a direct swap. Size of the axles might be different but that won't interfere with anything you're doing. Others may have different information. The only thing I can think of would be the inlet for the dipstick being different from one to the other but they should be able to be swapped. If you have any desire to just get a transmission instead of removing it from the C81 I have at least one spare, maybe two.

Hi all. I've been keeping busy during the lockdown. Dug out the floor to the level I want ready to concrete. I'm building a small wall to split the room into two levels, this deals with the slope and makes less digging out. If I can get some materials delivered next week I may be able to crack on a bit. Be nice to finish the lower level near the door so I can use it to work from.

It is amazing... However, while plummeting gas prices may make me feel “good” as I fill my tanks, it is not a good sign... 0.02...

Thanks Jim, yes AGs year round and quite honestly I'll say there is less if no damage to the lawn vs running turfs because I'm not slipping sliding and spinning out plus I live on a rolling hill and I do run fluid filled (rear only) and iron weights as well on all 3 of my horses (last 2 pics inside plus outside weights and fluid).

I started playing with exhaust parts to build a stack for “Steve”. Well, Rylee thinks Screamin’ Jimmy needs one too! I grabbed these stainless hand rails at the scrap yard the last time we hauled a car in.
