18 pointsAfter way too many months I finally can say its done. Gently restored, my originally owned 312. After restoring a 520 I picked up, I thought I should do mine after so many years of trouble free service...
-
11 pointsEverything is getting shut down where I live. We are cleaning all of our campuses starting today and I mean clean them. I am not allowed to respond to any emergency HVAC calls until Monday at the earliest when the schools start feeding kids. I am not allowed to call in sick unless I go to the doctor and have proof I went. And you folks who say you'll do what you want, you can get the virus, have no symptoms and pass it on to others. I am in the high risk group and I'll be damned if I am going to get this because someone else is careless and not taking precautions. I love the show, but I'll stay home first if things are still nuts.

7 pointsI am on the fence about attending based on health problems any way. I don't think we need to be jumping up and down about an event in June when State and Federal regulations may determine whether it takes place. I hope that the BS will take place and I can attend .
-
7 pointsThis next few weeks is crucial to do what they are telling you to do. I would think in a couple of weeks we should have a good idea of what we are dealing with and at that point what we may be looking at for the summer. Common cents...since....sense. and Rock & Rye.
-
7 pointsDon’t speak blasphemy😢. Thank positive! 😂 I hope nothing comes of everyone’s fear! We have made a lot of plans and arrangements! Lots of item and tractors to pickup and deliver! Friends to see! It’s time we all get on our knees and pray!
-
6 pointsI hope the Show will go on, but as previously mentioned, I don't want to risk my health or the health of others. Having had a couple of stents a little more than a year ago, that puts me in the higher risk range. If it should come to it, there will be other Big Shows, I'd like to be at those also. Good Lord willing and the creek don't rise, the Show will go on.
-
6 pointsI have been reluctant to post a reply in this thread because there is some raw emotions this can bring up.In my opinion No one on this forum will determine whether the show will go on or not. If things don't improve the state of PA will not allow the show to happen. There were, as I understand it, 51 suspected people in Kentucky who tested positive and were told to self quarantine.Fifty complied and one guy said you can't make me.I have my rights. The sheriff and a judge saw it differently. He found his house surrounded by armed deputies.I hope they send him a bill.JMHO

6 pointsHas anybody mentioned that we should buy stock in diapers in about 9 months? I bet there will be a baby boom!
-
6 pointsI am in agreement, I feel much is ridiculous and because of the over dramatic shoppers/etc. news, one can't get a good grip on the situation. Had people remained calm and self restraint used there would be a better grip of the situation. My opinion. Example - we are so uninformed with facts. The TP off the selves? Its a respiratory issues! So way TP? That was the first thing people stocked up on!!! Food/water, medication, for example theses should have been before TP.. Just recently people here have been going after food supplies. I believe in JESUS CHRIST and fear is of the devil. I will not be caged like a animal or criminal. Being cautious is always a great idea, using common scents will go a long ways, but like @bottjernat1 (If its your time its your time. PERIOD!) Sad fact but only means we get to move on to our permanent home, where we will never get sick again. With that said I want to live life with out Fear and to its fullest! In NO way was I referring to being disrespectful of others health or safety! I if I was told to remain at home I would. My work isn’t one I can take off from. I was just trying to clearly state that I was not going to live in fear of this Virus... I believe that my God, will see us safely through this by prayer and faith! I was stating that much of the hysterical actions of others to create fear and panic was out of control and that respect and common sense would go alone way. That proper supplies and resources be acquired rather than swarming isles for TP. I think we’re I stand was misunderstood and if not great! If the Big Show is canceled it’s not the end of the world! I wish you all great health and safety for family and friends.. I work around and care for the elderly! There health is important to me as in my field of work many of my tenants become like family I do not wish for any of them to become ill... That said with all the precautions taken if it is your time it is your time...that’s NOT saying go out and live with out regard to others or ones self, don’t speed it alone. I hope this clears up any misunderstanding! God Bless and I pray for this evil to end!

5 pointsA friend of mine knows someone who has this for sale. He says it runs. I'm going to check it out over the weekend. What should I offer for it?
-
5 pointsWow that looks very nice, Here is the 1990 312H I did about 3 years ago. I like the seat you got, it looks more comfortable than mine.
-
5 pointsMy wife and I are also in the high risk group. I agree with squonk - see how things develop and act accordingly. We've not made plans to attend the Big Show yet, but we have discussed doing so. Remember - all of the actions are being taken in an effort to avoid a spike in the number of cases that could potentially overwhelm our health care system. This is a time of great uncertainty. We need to remember to consider the effect our actions could have on others when we make decisions and take actions.
-
5 pointsI don’t have anything to buy or sell per say, but I don’t want to miss seeing my friends and tractors galore!
-
5 pointsI CANNOT FATHOM MISSING THIS SHOW,,,,,AND AS ALWAYS HOPING AND PRAYING ALL WILL BE WELL. WE ARE ALL HOPING PLANNING AND PRAYING,,,THE SHOW WILL GO ON !!!!!!!!!!! HOWARD 857HORSE IN VA
-
5 pointsThis one starts the same as it did when I picked it up from the dealer in 1986, just pump the accelerator 3 times or 5 if it's really cold and the Quadrajet and LT9 small block comes to life even after 34 years without any lights or messages on the dash.
-
4 pointsThere currently is a commercial featuring a guy with an Emu side kick. I have chickens and was wondering what the front seat of the featured Duster looks like? I know it's an odd question but I could use a laugh right now.
-
4 pointsIf everyone would read 2 Chronicles 7:13 and 7:14 and follow the directions in 7:14 we will all be fine. And the show can go on, praying for healing and an end to this enemy.
-
4 pointsI have been praying for a prompt end to this virus and all the fear that has gripped our nation. I feel that Mike's statement is too true. So many of the younger generation seem to think it will only impact the elderly because the news media has been stressing this, they fail to point out the "Carriers" that will spread it to us. As for the Big Show, I am confident that the show will go on and we have weathered this storm by then. I posted that on the other thread about Corona. It will be world wide, just in time for Christmas.
-
4 points@ericj , one of the WHCC board members and a member here as well, posted on another thread. Something like they are at a wait see right now and waiting to purchase show shirts and such for now. Think everyone is still hopeful we can move on with regular life after a short while.
-
4 pointsNo one on the news is talking about the over 50,000 people that have HAD this and their body beat it and now they are 100%.....the news is all about the bad and danger.
-
4 pointsI know your busy Chuck.....send me a PM with the address and I'll pick it up for ya. I'm going to Dover this evening and I'll be going right by your place.
-
4 pointsHad build a wheel puller that screws onto the wheel. Fine threads. 16 tpi so used a boring bar to cut the threads. 2.304" inside diameter. It's fabricated after one that I saw on the internet. The wheels and brake drums on these vehicles are one unit. They are held to the axle by a self-locking taper and a threaded nut on the end of the axle. Wheels and drums came off nicely but someone for some reason had pounded on the tapered part of the left axle. Going to have to clean that up. Brakes and drums look good. The thing that is amazing me about this project is everything is coming apart without a fight. I'm hoping it continues this way.
-
4 pointsI would've used Gorilla duct tape. Use a high speed camera, we want good pics.
-
4 pointsi am an american i am free and i dont do well with someone telling me what to do. You can be cautious but most of what is going on is ridiculous! I agree that we will know alot more in the next couple weeks. I am doing what i normally do. If its my time to go its my time.
-
4 pointsI may be the only lucky guy to have gone to a show this year! Kinda messed up. I went to the one in auburn indiana. I wasnt scared i even took my girls! They wanted to go! It was a pretty good turn out for all the crap going on. Got to live life! As they say the show must go on!
-
3 pointsHe was only asking $300 and my friend said he would take $250. It's only about 4 miles away
-
3 pointssquonk I think you do need to find a diagram on how to fit Dino into that buggy ,
-
3 pointsDo you really feel comfortable driving that thing around like that? It may not come apart now. It may not come apart tomorrow. But it may come apart some day and throw that metal at your face spinning at 3600rpm. I wish you luck

2 pointsAnd in approx. 13 years, we will see the rise of the QuaranTeens! On a serious note, I don't plan to alter my actions much due to this. I don't generally go out into large crowds (other than car shows or swap meets, which have all been canceled), I wash my hands, I cover my coughs, sneeze into my elbow, etc. I've never been one to drink or eat after someone. If I get it, it will be airborne, and there's not much I can do about that. I could get it from walking from my house to my car. I'm certainly not going to over expose myself to my grandparents, just in case, even though they have the same mindset I do on distancing. I just wish the mass panic would stop and people would get a grip on themselves. In 2009, with the H1N1 flu, 60 million people got it and 18k people died in the U.S.. I do not recall the mass hysteria or TP flying off of the shelves. I really don't recall people doing much about it. We currently sit at less than 10k cases and less than 100 deaths nationwide. It would certainly be a shame if the big show were cancelled.

2 pointsPopcorn Sutton. Now, there’s a guy I would have liked to have spent an afternoon with, just to hear his stories. He’s got a remarkable epitaph on his grave stone. Dave
-
2 pointsBeen working long days not getting home until 10pm during the week. I told my friend I will be there Saturday morning.
-
2 pointsAll I know is he says it runs and what you can see in the pics. I was actually thinking of offering $200 myself

2 pointsYou often get screamin’ deals it seems. At least the seat isn’t all torn up and whatnot! Let us us know how it goes...
-
2 points@JCM I don't have a very big screen on this little phone but it looks fairly decent in the small pictures. Those 417 s have some desirability. Personally, I like the way they run and drive at least on a Gear drive tractor. Mowing deck. Rear hitch. I'm not the best with values but I would think if that runs drives and operates okay it should be worth a fair investment on your part. Great workers.
-
2 pointsYou've had much better luck with yours than I had with mine. The two years we owned our 86 GMC we spent more money keeping it running that we spent buying the truck. I never really had any brand loyalty before that, but the 1990 F-150 I replaced it with rolled over 490k miles this week and is still running great with very few issues over the years. Turned me into a Ford man.
-
2 pointsCheap manufacturing is the issue we need to bring back american made!! Maybe then we wouldn't have to rely on everyone else. LOL I agree with you
-
2 pointsI purchased this GT-14 last year and it came with a few attachments, including this 36" Tiller. So I figured why not lets see if it works. It's awesome and has inspired me. I am going to put in a garden plot. The unit itself is a bit overkill for the job but what the heck. I like overkill.
-
2 pointsThe tall shifter with the 8 Ball would have to come up through the steering wheel and kind of limit the steering.
-
2 pointsTHAT is AWESOME, n i wish it was mine; id LOVE to put something like that to use👍!, though my plot wouldnt be very big, lol

2 pointsIn my experience the pain meds are more harm than help.My doctors only prescribe anti-inflamitories.Pain meds do little to heal and only allow you to further damage the muscles. because you don't hurt.Rest and listening to the back muscles will go a long way to your recovery.Take care,Jim.

2 pointsUuuhhhhhh.... Not possible. It fit right? I have a serious tendency to build/make/redo most things kinda on the HD side. I tell people "Overkill is in the eyes of the beholder".
-
2 points@WHX24, sorry buddy had to change one thing - those tilted spindles. Pictures don’t show it real well, but in person and when driving it, the front wheels cambered in at the top like a swing axle bug when dropped down. One cut on each, a little leverage, rewelding, and voila the front wheels stand straight when looking out over the hood. I swear it made me feel like they were going to bend on up and lay the axle on the ground! Think I’m done — for now!
