This is my first Rustoleum paint job, I was using auto paint but its gotten why to pricey. I read where you can use rustoleum thinned out, seems to work but takes longer to dry but the results aren't bad.

I greased all the fittings I could find and adjusted the brakes. I also turned the clutch rod in to change the pedal travel to my liking. I've been out mudding every day this week and I don't intend on stopping anytime soon. I don't know if it's because it has a steering wheel and no suspension, or because it's low revving and heavy but I find riding my trails more relaxing and enjoyable on the tractor than an ATV. Makes 8 acres seem a lot bigger at slower speeds lol. I guess it's like a hardtail chopper vs a sport bike, one has a certain feel and visceral appeal and the other just goes real fast.

I've heard that soooooo many times, The honey-do list will never be completed because the more promptly you do a task the more things will be added. If you keep her expectations low enough the priority items will rise to the surface and she will sort-of give up on the rest.

The muffler was rusted along the sides but the ends was solid. What I did was to find a fire extinguisher, cut one end off, drilled a hole then notch it for the inlet. It fit tight enough to where I had to tap the muffler in with a hammer, then welded it up. To me it is quieter then a stock muffler because of the thicker wall.

No offense to your FIL but he's SEVERELY misled. Parts availability is GREAT if you know WHERE TO LOOK. Older Wheelhorses will Outlast most modern disposable trash. Get LOTS of weight. Get shoes on the plow. Re-educate the FIL... Here on the mountain side Trina and I use her 1967 and my 1974 to plow SNOW.

I'm going to put in a vote for a 1974 to 1977 C Series such as C 120 or C160 hydromatic. Pictured below, in the foreground, is my Cinnamon Horse which is a c160-8 speed. Same thing but different. Plenty of power. Good ability to add weight for stability. Lots of different implements that can be used from like 1970, up. Simple. Reliable. Repairable. Maintainable. Easily modified.

UPDATE: Right on schedule. At 6:45 a.m. this morning, building materials were delivered. Since it had been raining most of the night, the driver didn't wan't to risk damage to my yard, or his truck, so he dropped everything in the driveway, and under my deck. Construction is scheduled to begin March 5.

Here's my headlight mod, I should have taken a picture of the inside of the hood because I didn't weld or drill any holes so that I can change it back to original. It is really bright, the neighbor calls me to turn on my headlights so he can mow his lawn.

A young man by the name of Barney Lee, is stopping over with Carol and I tonight, while doing a walk round the coast of Britain. Info can be found on his website :- BARNEYLEE.co.uk. or on Facebook :- mylongwalkroundbritain. Well worth a look. In the morning I'll take him back to where he finished today. He'll the continue north towards the Scottish border. His very large and heavy backpack, I'll deliver to his next overnight stop, somewhere around Cargo near Carlisle.

Parts aren't the problem. The biggest problem with these is keeping the herd to just one machine!

OK you could use a D series. Would be easy to set up the additional hydro pump like the one used for my FEL. Then you could run your remotes for the York rake and even your splitter if you got a big enough pump. 3pt hitches were an option on the D series. No limited slip differential but turning brakes were also an option. Would be hydrostatic drive not gear drive....

Here ya go...only tractors not listed here are the Seniors which would have had a Wisconsin. Most would consider these the rarest but other early '60's are somewhat rare. Might be a few other oddballs not listed here so this is not a 100% accurate list. Wheel_Horse_Products_Master_Model_List.pdf Often under browsed, by me anyway... https://www.wheelhorseforum.com/forum/17-wheel-horse-picture-gallery/

4 way plow, log splitter remotes for a york rake, gear drive and diff lock. You should consider an older small farm tractor...

I go one step further by cutting a piece of 3/8" ID tubing to fit once I get the length proper for the correct alignment. I like the idea of heim joints and the nest pair of rods will probably use them.
