10 pointsHi all, I have made a start on my new trailer for Fred. I had an old frame I built to move a lathe so I decided to modify it. I made a new axle by turning two stub axles and welding them into a square steel tube. I have a spare pair of wheels with turf tyres and these will be just fine. I also have a wheelbarrow body which I am going to mount at the rear as a tipper. My intention is to build it so that I can have the tipper and a box body interchangeable on the same chassis.

9 pointsIf anyone ever deserved to be on the cover of "Rolling Wheel Horses" it is Howard. He doesn't attend the party, he IS the party! And after the party one must rest!
-
9 pointsI hit the jackpot! @Vinylguy did a great job on the final signage for the SL & WHN RR caboose...! His elves did fabulous work! Arrived in time for Christmas morning rides!

8 pointsOne evening two years ago as I approached the shop door was greeted by a small kitten that looked barely old enough to have left its mother. The cat people in the Village think we're fair game and about once a year find a stray kitten roaming around the yard. This particular cat being a tortoiseshell was a dead giveaway to her source of whom I have approached and gave notice this practice of dropping off cats has a stop. Cats do not usually last more than six months on our isolated property before becoming part of the food chain and its heartbreaking when they go missing. This one has good survival instincts. She's out the door at daybreak returning after sundown. Pat and I both prefer dogs over cats but would never turn away an animal in need of a home. This cat is an excellent hunter, no more gophers and the squirrel population has dwindled.

7 pointsWe have our first Calendar Shot for the 2021 version of the Red Square Calendar!
-
6 pointsFor several years my wife has gift wrapped any package that arrives in December and puts it under the Christmas tree (unless I tell her it is a vitally important item). Several time she has wrapped things I was buying as gifts for her, saves me a lot of work. Look what was under the tree this year. Some @Vinylguy custom decals for the GT-14 and a pair of magnetic Red Square Supporter signs!

6 points.....but our very own beloved Howard @857 horse made getting to know your members in the the latest news letter of WHCC. For those of you who have never met Howard your loss. The instigator of the Mash Pole and all around good guy. Yes his health has not been kind to him but me thinks he has made lemonade! Pics please...

6 pointsThe boys played “TAG” today. @Coulter Caleb is on his 854 Comanche (thanks to @Sparky once again😉) Judge is on the Mule (his CC100) and ZacMan is on Rusty (my 1054A). it was about 35 degrees outside and we had just finished our Christmas picture and so they decided to drive around a little. Zac figures out that if he got on to that little bit of snow in 2nd and turned a hard corner he could drift the rear end a little... Boys will be boys! I wouldn’t have it any other way.
-
5 pointsStill at Hershey Medical Center but I hope to Be home by then. If so you can park the trailer there. 14 mi. south of the Big Show and 7 mi from Gettysburg...
-
5 pointsYou may never meet another man that outshines Howard! Great guy that loves the Horses and the people who love them. Go to the Big Show and just ask "where's Howard" and you'll get directions. Truly an honor to know him.
-
5 pointsNow... this thread is suposed to be about .... HOWARD you .....LOLOLOL....
-
5 pointsThat's back when he was just a novice. Now he's a hoarder.

4 points@WHX24 Jim ya know I'm just pickin on ya... Like you said they are ALL junk just somes better than others... And if we all like the exact same thing life would be very dull and boring.
-
4 pointsI myself have been musing with the idea of another truck... I went from a 97 GMC extended cab V8 5spd to 2000 Silverado 3rd door extended cab V8 5spd to my 14 Silverado double cab V8 6spd auto... Now looking at this one or one in shadow gray metallic V8 10spd auto... BTW @WHX24 at least the General can build its own diesels and trans ... Plus my chebbie ain't feared of oil bit salt (they use liquid calcium chloride to pretreat the asphalt here, @pullstart I drove a newer Colorado wasn't a fan after stepping up to a full size many a moon ago...
-
4 pointsYeah I hear ya Kev.. you post so many dang pics tho you is blinding me! Gotta tell ya too Dodge ain't been outta the shed for two three months now. They salted the frickiin roads here and temps are in the 40s. You know what salt does and my Baby has gotta outlast me! That's why I got a fish truck with mice in it..... Sides Dino like to spill his wine ... ok and encouraged in the fish truck!

4 pointsSuspense killing ya Jack? The truck in Detroit is available to dealer trade and we are going through with this. Hey, I don’t think anyone can blame me... we never named the Colorado officially! I am just too concerned with this drivetrain noise to stay confident in the Colorado and they haven’t yet been able to duplicate the sounds and feels we’ve had come from it. The savings are not as huge as claimed on the website figures, but they will still reduce my payment and give a bigger truck. It’s a 2020 Silverado RST crew cab “long box” with automatic locking rear diff, all terrain tires and a premium sound system. The rest of the accessories and packages are beyond me but there’s heated seats, steering wheel, blah blah. The back seat has heat and a/c but is not heated of course whereas the Colorado has no creature comforts for the girls in the back.

4 pointsJeff—that 126 is such a sweet and rare find. Reportedly they made less than 5500 of those tractors and that one has the optional headlights with factory bezels still in tact. I can’t wait to see you work your magic on that machine over the next year or so! Merry Christmas! Dells—the Big D series machines already look like a Willy’s Jeep just need the green paint and white star to complete the theme! Make sure you start a thread on that build. I also wouldn’t mind an “after the fact” thread on Emory’s Cub to see what you all did to it in the process...Caleb’s first tractor is a Cub 125 (the hydro version of the 124). I got it for him when he was 8 years old. It came with a whole bunch of attachments including a blade, blower, Snow cab, tiller, and the rarest item a 59M chipper shredder. They were made by Ameriand-Makissic and IH used them for years but for a short couple year window they actually painted them yellow and labeled them as their own product. This one is in great shape as the following video attests to... This video was a demo of it and Caleb’s tractor at my Uncles Farm Day a couple of years ago. Caleb’s 125 has most of the options available that year except hydraulic lift (something I would like to add someday). We have mowed with it, plowed with it, tilled with it, bladed with it, and chipped wood with it. A cool little 12hp tractor for sure! Please show this video to Emory and tell him “Hi” from us!

4 pointsWe have two, we found both of them as kittens in a junkyard. Chances of survival was not good. Today they are happy, healthy and they get along with our dogs. Good hunters to, no mice or moles.
-
4 pointsIf you have to rearrange your shed every season, in order to have the tractors you're going to use, close to the door
-
4 points@prondzy and I will be bringing mine. Might need a motel and a place to drop the trailer to take in the sights. Maybe a trip to the HD factory.
-
4 pointsI noticed the old coot has not been counting lately, run out of fingers and toes and beer cans ?
-
4 pointsHe's this is old coot who used have only a couple of tractors.....

4 pointsA wise woman (no names here Joette - oops!) once told me that you’re a collector if you’re not sure how many you have, but you’re a hoarder if you know the exact number. I used to be a hoarder, now I’m just another collector!
-
4 pointsWhen your Christmas letter has more pictures of than of your Granddaughter. Dick continues his fascination with (addiction for) Wheel Horse tractors.
-
3 pointsI’m honored to pilot Hot Wheels, don’t ever plan to change much on him either... just some clean up here and there as needed.
-
3 pointsReality check time. I know that I have more projects left in the barn than I have productive years to complete them. I plan to build them all, God willing. I'm not throwing in the towel yet, but when it occurred to me that I hadn't driven "Hot Wheels" for over a year it was time to pass it on to a new home. When Kevin @pullstart said he wanted it I was delighted because I knew he and his girls would give it a good home. I am a certified Horse-A-Holic and proud of it, but I am also realistic.
-
3 pointsYou pick all you want Billy ... this is Pullstart's thread we is jackin and he ain't gonna care as long as we is yakin trucks! Maybe the General shouldn't build their own trannies... Kevs Colorado being case in point. The Allisons they used back in the day in the HD 2500s was the best but bean counters at GM prolly put an end to that???
-
3 pointsYou ever pay attention to a picture I post, you’ll see I hang on to most every truck I buy too... But I’m not gonna pay what a new truck runs for, to let it sit in the shop or be weary of driving to... say... WI for a plow day or something... know what I mean?

3 pointsSweet score there @WV Hillbilly! Very nice tractor! The guy I bought Emory’s Cub and cart from has a 124 that he’s wanting to sell me. That’s the first fiberglass dash model and it’s even got dual wheel adapters on the back. There’s just no way I can afford it right now though. I’ve got to save my funds to redo the D160 we have in time for the Big Show since bid D’s are the feature tractor this year. Seriously thinking of going with a military theme on that monster.
-
3 pointsI'm not a huge fan of cats either, but it's almost a necessity to have one or two around when you have a barn and a bunch of old cars. Far better than having mice chew up wiring all the time! We don't have one in town but fortunately there are a number of neighbors who do and they come around all the time.
-
3 pointsI have had some of my tractors on Christmas cards! @WHX24 My 2000 WH, and my ‘65 power king, and my ‘73 WH ( I think!) the next one will be the ‘70 Raider 12!!👍

3 pointsYour a lucky man!! All l got was a new grill! I guess this means ill be doing more cooking?
-
2 pointsPICS! Someday when you grow up and quit buying Chevys and and buy a big Dodge you'll finally figure out they they are all junk ...just somes better junk than others! Seriously Kev Cindy had a '05 Canyon that had some valve issues or something. Thankfully all under warranty as they knew they had an issue. I CRS but we quickly ditched it and was turned off to to anything GMC ever since. Shame too it was a nice little rig. I firmly believe OEMs design and build crap before adequate testing so Joe Buyer gets to be the guinea pig. What's worse is the OEMs blame it on parts from their vendor. Same thing with HVAC equipment. ...ok off my Prolly wise you got rid of the blue truck as other power train problems were sure to crop up. We are going to want know all the gory details on how the dealers had their knickers down tho.
-
2 pointsMerry Christmas to all you guys... Don't forget my 126 has the HI/LO "Creeper" box as well... The wheel/tire combo in the pics were (rear) from my xi score a few years back and (front) a Jacobson Chief we scrapped out last year. It's missing the carb and air cleaner assembly ... Hopefully I can find that and a new grille.
-
2 pointsHi Jerry. What engine and tractor? 1 turn isn't near enough for the larger engines. I've had particularly temperamental carbs that I've cleaned out 2 or more times....
