12 pointsI have to say I was super impressed with the 416-H today. I never would have thought it would handle that much snow so easily. 416-H Blowing Snow

10 pointsGave the snowblower and the commando 800 a good work out on Monday around 7 inches of kind of wet white stuff. Had to clean the shut a couple of times, cleaning the wet packed stuff at end of driveway pushed up by penndot was out of the question for the 8 horse and single stage blower. For that had to get out my Farmall cub with the plow. All and all enjoyed the seat time on the little tractor and blower.

7 pointsRichie my friend I hope whatever gift giving spirit you celebrate this month brings you a lump of coal.
-
7 pointsRight here is my 312, just chains and a 48” plow. Just got done plowing yesterday!
-
6 pointsNo snow here yet. This is from last year. The 520-H makes it easy
-
6 pointsI have 5 tons in the barn want me to send him a lump or two???
-
6 pointsJust another day on the E16. I really didn't expect the ST-376 to work as well as it does.
-
6 pointsWell we had another HUGE milestone here today. Trina was home from work and we got about 4 inches of snow. She hopped on her 867 "pigpen" or "otha tracta" and moved some-o-the white stuff..... With the mid mount grader!!! Unfortunately I don't have pics of that because I wasn't home. But!!! She's decided to have us set up that tractor with a 42" snow plow! So we'll be trying out a new thing for her then as well... We'll keep ya posted. Here's a video of me on the Cinnamon Horse she took from the porch as I was cleaning up.

5 pointsI think so. I let my wife handle those affairs. Yes, finally moved in and we love it. All one level, beautiful land and soooooo quiet. I'm thinking you run faster than me. Thank you everybody. Spent the morning at the BMV getting everything changed to the new address and is was actually fun. I never got the restriction removed from my driver license requiring glasses to drive after my eye surgery and had the option to have them test my vision again. NO MORE GLASSES Folks in this county are so much more layed back it's hard to believe we're only about 35 miles from our old place. Nancy is in the kitchen cooking up one of my very favorite meals. Cold beer. Life is good.

5 pointsLearned a few things. Solid link on the plow= awesome for the icy crust from this storm. Chains and turf tires = awesome. I’ve had the chains on the AGs and they stink. The biggest thing I missed was the fun I had pushing snow on it!!😁 Oh! And these monkey grip gloves are the best thing going for hands on snow removal. Hands warm and dry and they might save a finger from a snowblower. 😲 don’t ask how I know.
-
4 pointsYeah it's called a hydro with hydraulic lift... at least from my personal experiences... But on the other hand you could add some extension springs from the front attach-a-matic to the plow frame to help it lift back up.

4 pointsMy friend called and asked if I wanted a generator, it has a broken rod, it’s a big whole house one. I figure I could maybe salvage something from it even if it’s just the cabinet for my 7500w. Lol Story is my buddy’s neighbor had it tuned up by co, a short time later generator does run. Co comes back, valves were adjusted incorrectly and it broke a PUSHrod. Lady gets co to replace generator with new one and they left the old I guess for insurance. It sat for a year or 2 and the lady wants it gone Anyway nobody he knew wanted it cause it had a broken rod. Lol. It cost me $29 for 2 pushrods, a rocker and pivot bolt. Runs great! I did have to replace the magnetos in it but the guy that did the work for me said it’s an older model and the mags are the only think that goes bad other then the starter and that’s been replaced already. 😁 ( I didn’t fix it cause it looked impossible. My sons friend is a generator guy and I gave him a 1964 Onan/Studebacker 3000w generator to do the work. He knew the way to do it and made it look easy. 👍 I got very lucky on this find!

4 pointsHope you guys don't mind some more action shots. 520 with a single in 14" of fresh powder day before turkey day in northern WI deer camp. Busting the initial trail through 2 ft drifts in 30 mph winds was the worst. Got a real quick lesson on keeping the chute turned with the wind! Doing good till I lost the pin that holds the attach keeper up into the front attach. A tie down lashed the blower back to the tractor and ran a 1/4 mile backwards in my own tracks to camp for repairs. Luckily I found the bracket in the snow and a piece of all 3/8 all thead for a new pin and back in business. Finished clearing a 1/2 mile of road plus parking areas. Four hours of seat time not counting down time for repairs. 6 gallons of gas. Guys are right about needing to keep a single loaded up. Onan never missed a beat other than being thirsty.

3 pointsThe snow took out a lot of power lines in remoter areas of the grids. I’ve been running the 15kw Generac whole house genset I rescued from the scrapyard. It’s been humming along and I started to think about how I’ve been depending on small engines a lot lately. 😁 My C101 has been a beast moving this heavy snow and ice and my old Simplicity 7/24 snowblower can still huck snow a long way. Ive been having a lot of fun clearing out all the old folks in the neighborhood but damn! That stack is too loud. Gotta get a quieter exhaust. I hope they all hang in there and I hope I get my utility service back soon cause making electricity is getting expensive. 😲
-
3 pointsYou guys have a serious problem! The show is over 6 months from now. You want to get ready now??? Whether the featured tractor is a "D" C, B, or A, snow mover, custom or dirt dog, we ALL can't wait for the Big Show!!! I guess I have a serious problem too...
-
3 pointsYeah I have one on my shopping list Eric. I’m waiting for these plow jobs to pay off. Lol. (The old couple across the street gave me a peppermint patty. 😁) I’ve been doing it as charity work mostly for the older folks in the neighborhood and I get to play with my tractor. I’m going to have a few paying customer soon enough. I’ve got to get my other wheel weights mounted up but the chains on my old turf tires is an awesome combo for the driveways I do.
-
3 pointsDat’s “Da” spirit! I’ll be joining you with some Different Wheel Horses... I just don’t know which ones yet!

3 pointsI PUT A DIESEL IN MY 1054. VERY EASY JOB. ANY MOTOR YOU USE WILL NEED WIRING WORK, BUT THAT IS NOT HARD.
-
3 pointsI had a tall chute single for many years on the 520H before getting the 2stage never missed a beat 4"-24" of snow... Onan power hard to beat spinning a snow chucker.
-
3 pointsAre you guys talking about this style seat? If you don't like them and plan to change them out, please contact me and I'll gladly buy you a new seat. These are my favorite seat and yes, I'm short at only 5' 7". I would change every one of mine to these.
-
2 pointsI’ve had people flag me down and waive anything from a wrinkled $5 bill to $50 bills for a drive cleaning. The cheap ones are always the ones who act like they did me a favor. Something about snow removal being cheap in their eyes? Good on you for doing it for the right reason, sometimes I’d rather they didn’t pay me anything...
-
2 pointsWell I got the filler structure all welded up....took me from 7:30 am till now. Its all nice in accurate too whahhh so glad. Sheet metal work I hope tomorrow, covering the structure to keep the dirt out.
-
2 pointsIf you can cut and paste a photo of the snow blade we can let you know if it will work for you. Not all snow blades will fit. Also the attachment bracket for the blade will attach to your tractor's rear axle, be sure it is included. I see you added a picture of the blade. It will work on your 416 (though you may need to put a bend in the lever that sets the blade angle) . You will also need the axle bracket.
-
2 pointsI upgraded this one with a newer 12HP My intention was to have custom decals made, like you did. (1253) just haven't got around to it. Good looking tractor by the way.
-
2 pointsEvery body has to chose there own location, for what every reason. You just have to live with your choices. Richie tough he can take it, even tho he works for a Mickey Mouse outfit.
-
2 pointsI put a newer 14 HP engine out of a blackhood on my 1267 and kept the starter /genny. I used the original engine shroud by removing the stator and the flywheel ring gear .
-
2 pointsRetaining wall drain? That would make more sense than a drain in the wall! I was so confused... yeah, it’s similar to that in a way. This drains to the center and has a rubber seal and a basket to catch hair from clogging the drain. The center just lifts out and the 1/4” gap around the perimeter will catch the water.
-
2 pointsYou don’t know how good that feels to hear! I’ve been dreading this since the days of the design.... but I knew I wanted something far nicer than the crappy kits from box stores!
-
2 pointsThe base layer is mostly complete. I need it to dry enough to be able crawl all over it. Here’s a picture of the drain assembly too. The center of the tray will be tiled and it’s removable for clean outs, etc.

2 pointsI want to just start this answer by saying I'm no biologist. Trina and I "live outdoors" so we know what we need to know to be happy and safe as possible. Other than the ultra rare far distance roaming solitary animal there are nothing but black bears in the Northeast United States or Southeast Canada. Now let me put a disclaimer there. You are absolutely right that... Not all black bears are black. Here in western Mass, New Hampshire, and Maine where I've spent my life I've never even heard of anything other than a black bear being plain black. https://geology.com/stories/13/bear-areas/ I haven't looked it up for a few years now but to the best of my knowledge there has NEVER been an unprovoked bear attack in the state of Maine. The only bear you need to worry about anywhere near around me is a mom with cubs and that's really only if you get between them which is nearly impossible. An extremely large bear in Western Massachusetts is around 500 lb. Here in Maine and northern New Hampshire they regularly reach that... and often go as high as 700 lb. In fact over the last several years there has been numerous sightings right on my mountainside by residents and game wardens alike of a Maine state record sized big bruin. 700+.... Are we afraid of black bears? Absolutely not. I am not a bird feeder or a trash can or a tree full of berries. Do I understand the damage that they could possibly inflict? You bet. But to be honest I could say exactly the same thing about BBT....
-
2 pointsIDK if you've ever seen these fellas on YouTube- they are definitely pushing their tractors to the max.
-
2 pointsAnd what good is a project without a new tool!? I need a garden hoe to mix the mud. I can’t find it. I believe I recall it broke. I found an old broken handle and made up a few bits of steel. Whaaah lah!
-
2 pointsWelcome to Redsquare first off. You came to the right place for information on the 1054. @953 nut is the our expert on this tractor . But if you go with a K series engine this post will help with the wiring. The lights and switches can also be removed or modified to work with the K engines.
-
2 pointsGet no argument here Jeffery Nothin like the sound either you get them on the pipe & working. Something we all kinda worry about Wildman, and all internal engine issues, but cross that bridge when we get to it. Keep the jugs clean, proper maintenance on the rest & consider opening up the belt guard. Jury still out if that helps but can't hurt. I would finish the deuce on a 160....gotta have a backup or so I tell the missus! She generally agrees as she's shoveling Nice pics & video BTW couple of calendar shots ther! Quite easy or so I been told if you can find a donor chute & worm gear. Getting the plastic retainers from TORO might be the biggest ouch $$ but @lynnmor makes nice ones quite reasonable now.

2 pointsSparky that little bugger was throwing that snow 30 feet plus, I would have never thunk it. My father had a good friend that was a one lung kohler guy threw and threw, one of his sayings was and I quote those eight's are the great's.

2 pointsI'm starting to like the Onan power for sure. Still scared every time I run it that the rear cylinder is gonna die thanks to the internet. With how well this thing works I don't even need to finish the 2 stage install on my 161.
-
2 pointsPretty impressive what these little engines will do. Love those Cub tractors too....
-
2 pointsFINALLY getting the final touches on this rig. Put these wheel weights on the 520 tonite on loan from Jack. Kind of pain to put on Josh but will be well worth it we get some snow I'm sure. Also fitted with Hillbillie's mandatory sno chute. Just waiting for Dan to get "grilling" and burn some things for me! Many thanks to Hillbilly Jeff, NEPA Kurt and Brian aka Super C for the lift rod and helping me put this thing together. Best advice to those who want to join the deuce bag club is buy one that is all there!

2 pointsB-80. Without a doubt the easiest machine to work on ever. Only two safeties, fuel tank is easily accessible/removable, minimal levers and rods, and everything is out in the open its so refreshing S16H. still easy (compared to a car) but nothing like a mid 70's Horse
