9 pointsThis is the 1962 702 that I am finishing up and am in need of a two prong ignition switch to finish the project if anyone can help. I hope you guys like this build.
-
9 pointsOld pic, the boat anchore 2 stage has been replaced by a more manageable tall chute single.
-
9 pointsLotta nice rigs! Mine isn’t so fancy but she pushes snow like a dump truck Posted it plenty of times before...it started life as a Wheel Horse Workhorse GT1600/8 speed. Originally it had a Briggs 16 twin. I found it for sale in NY a few years ago with a Kohler Magnum 10 installed. I picked up Karl @nylyon on the way thru Brewster for the ride. Swapped out all 4 tires to something better, added cast weights and a 5 sector 48” plow. This sucker has performed almost flawlessly all these years with normal maintenance.

8 pointsThis raider showed up Friday night outside my Sisters kitchen window and spent an hour destroying and emptying a half dozen bird feeders. He is well over six feet tall probably weighs 300-350 lbs. No one volunteered to go out and ask him to leave.
-
8 pointsMy old trusty 1974 C160 has not let me down since I reworked it from a mess to my number one beast.
-
8 pointsI’v posted this before, my C105 with a transplanted 16hp Kohler Magnum. Replaced the rear wheels this fall with a set off of a 520. New chains on the way.

7 pointsFound these caps off the two charger tens that I just picked up. Wish they were in a little better shape but they are 50 years old! They will fit the patina finish on the build anyway!
-
7 pointsHere's mine, more a worker that spends most of the time in the garage.
-
7 pointsAll electric riding WH's have been a thing for 40+ years now That said, If something came out to retrofit my current WH's, I'd say no. I'll keep running my Kohlers as long as I can.

7 pointsThis is what I use, I added a strobe to the top of the cab this year.

7 pointsHere's a few pics.. Patriot horse when I first got a plow set-up. Worked great but the engine ticks a bit. In order to save that engine I switched to the failed effort of the mongrel mixed up 1267. When Cinnamon horse was done we switched the 42" plow to it. All those tractors were fine for moving snow but the tires I use are oversized all around and I was steering into the windrow of snow all the time. Then we got a 48" plow and it was great!! Sometime this season we'll try out the monster 60" plow made by @wallfish. Believe it or not this is a 48" plow. Trina got a cool angle and it looks enormous....

6 pointsThe 1055 and 418-C with snow blades and the GT-14 with front end loader are ready for winter.
-
6 pointsSorry guys , no attachments for the Wheel Horse . Only the poly dump cart . All I have is this semi-restored and re-powered '66 tank .
-
6 pointsThis little girl is a gem with snow...… worth it's weight in gold......

5 pointsJust finished leaves, loader is ready but the other two will take a day or two, so this is an old photo.
-
5 pointsMy pair, I have reversed the blower and cab onto the 1995 520H. Love it.
-
4 pointsThe anniversary 520 with cab and deuce I bought brand new and the other 520 with blade I bought used is older with less hours. And of course the Kioti for use in WV. Then if I ever find time to convert these orange implements over to my lil red diesel
-
4 pointsFinished up an Eaton 700/1100 swap for friend. decided to put the 56 on the table.

4 pointsNo I renforced them. with angle iron. They are the 300 series spindles for 6" wheels.
-
4 pointsNo - not to an existing working engine, but Yes to a roller! And they already exist. Have for a long time... Thinking of doing that right now If / / when I find another Black Hood roller that I like... Yes battery cost / life is issue, but I think it Would be pretty cool, relatively easy, and would be way less intrusive on the neighbors when I cruise the neighborhood pulling nieces and nephews / kids / adults around...
-
4 pointsNope! I do 3 flat driveways and really have no issues. I do it in lifts so during storms I do it a couple times. Tried chains and ripped up the asphalt...scratched the concrete... Benefits of this approach are: no drive damage, way more seat time exposed to the snow, wind and cold, less set up time in the fall, and did I mention way more seat time?
-
4 pointsmy snow mover (Scarsdale NY - just north of NYC) he was my snow mover driver on the 312-8 when he was younger
-
4 pointsRodney Burger and I are In Plymouth, Indiana picking up an RJ 35 and four wheel wagon for Clay Brooks destined for Ringold, Georgia!
-
3 pointsHe got the new pulleys and belt. Driveline is back together and adjusted. He also picked up a key switch and rewired the tractor. I was able to tweak the throttle linkage and by bending the choke tab back the other way it becomes a stop at WOT. I connected a cable to actuate the choke separately. Just have to get a foot throttle connected and he can take it for a test drive.

3 pointsWe like it here quite a bit. Although we went through a 2-3 week period hovering at 100 degrees in summer. Whether dry or humid, 100 is freakin HOT. Bunch of health issues I’m putting to bed but those would have been an issue no matter where we reside. Getting the shop about ready to tackle the final tear down and final finish assembly on GT22-8. Then I plan on installing aluminum gas Tank that @19richie66 son made up for me on my GT16 restomod. Gonna install bearings in the tunnel uprights and replace bushings while I’m at it. Then I will start looking for an old muscle car or truck to restore.
-
3 pointsI just got off mine five minutes ago sucking up leaves!
-
3 pointsIf you are rewiring a tractor that has a Starter/Generator then the mechanical voltage regulator for the S/G is probably the best/only option. The K301 that came with a S/G on a had no internal charging system. This diagram should be helpful in understanding what each component does.
-
3 pointsI Love Blackhoods!😊👍 But i gotta ask...no weight(s), or chains, or anything...?
-
3 pointsExpensive batteries have a limited life, I wouldn't want to replace them based on years instead of actual use. There is a reason that the Wheel Horse and General Electric models were discontinued. Batteries may have improved over the years, but the price is high. I like the fact that tractors powered by an internal combustion engine can be fully recharged in the time it takes to fill the tank.

3 pointsSomething you will never see again in your lifetime folks! A New Old Stock Ride away Jr 1955 brake band!
-
3 pointsOk the first real "fix" to my 1989 312-8... one of these is a transparent Lego cylinder capped with a transparent round Lego tile. can you tell which one? Total cost to fix= free because I raided my kids' Lego bin. I think online these are under $.10 apiece but the shipping is kind of rough.

2 pointsGlenPettit (one of our vendors here on RedSquare) makes high quality reproduction hub covers that might work for you, depending on what your plan is for this tractor. The logos on his are a good bit larger than the originals, and they aren't what I would call cheap, but they are very nice. He also makes much less expensive plain hub covers that you could use if you wanted to keep your originals off and safe. And personally I would also recommend his upper spindle covers, very reasonably priced, and they help a lot in keeping dust and dirt out of the spindles.
-
2 pointsI believe Ritchie, @19richie66, probably posted a pic of same when he did his Skittles restoration.
-
2 pointsSo the pin 29 is sti attached and 16 into 14 is still there it's the other end that popped out it looks like I just need to slide it back in some how
-
2 pointsOEM belt is 7473, Get it here for about $25. It is 82" x 5/8" https://www.psep1.biz/arinet.asp?aribrand=TO#/s/TO//7473/1/
-
2 pointsNice work. From time to time I also like to fine my shop a good cleaning and spruce up a few items

2 pointsThere's a thread on the site about someone using a brass piece to weld around to fix the keyway. Once you've achieved a good key, keyway, and decent hub to axle clearance a second set screw is a huge additional help. All of our builds and restorations get them.

2 pointsI would consider it. Maybe install the electric conversion in an engineless roller?
-
2 pointsI spent "Black Friday" finishing up this year's leaf pick-up, got about six hours of quality seat time!
