So earlier this year Rylee bought this 1076 with her own money. $65! I told her that when she’s ready to work on it, I’ll show her how to work on it. Some smart kid decided it’s too cold and wet on her birthday to ride the quad in the field. She’d rather wrench instead! ❤️ We started by checking the oil. Now I can see there is a wiring mess, so we’re checking over the wiring before we try to touch the key off..

There is a ton of varnish in the carb and about 1/8” slop in the throttle shaft, so we’re going to look for some donor parts and run some new fuel line. The clear stuff is leaking all over. But first, LUNCH! Rylee took a break to take a birthday call..

I keep forgetting, and other things keep taking my time, but have wanted to post this for awhile... I have wanted one of these for some time (no, i dont have a need, but...🤣), but figured due to cost and being unable to find one locally, it'd never happen. But as of Sept 2nd of this year, now i have one!😊😊 I know, it's rough, and by the time the floor is fixed, it won't be original, but for $20 and a nice morning drive a few towns south of me, it has a new permanent home. Cooler than that, even...on the tounge, is an old school 'FELDMANN' Sales and Service sticker...they are still in business, and also where my 1st WH was either bought or serviced sometime in it's life, too, because it also has, albeit newer, sales sticker on the hood👍 Yea, i like stuff like that😊 That last pic, too...Dad, showing me how to go about using what you have, helping me out straightening the tailgate sheetmetal😊 I know ill have way more stuck in it than it is worth, by the time it is done... The P.O. was deceased and Rylee bought this from his nephew at the estate sale. He only knew it had a new battery, nothing else. Probably the reason it was not in running condition for the P.O. is because I found the coil was only getting power when cranking. The switch is not correct for the machine, but it was wired for a starter solenoid. Next will be getting it to run on it’s own power, now the coil has power whenever the switch is on or in start! After that, sorting the generator charging circuit out...

How about this for a name???

Pretty soon, the tractors will have a place for everything and everything in it’s place! We put up another section of racking and it will allow for some custom pallets at 66” long and 44” wide to store tractors 3-wide in the racking. The closest green upright is 9’ tall, it’ll be a shell for the buggy to rest on top of

Tom—very observant Eye! This car was sold brand new with a YS code 350hp 400CI motor backed by a TH400 tranny and a 3.23 10bolt posi. Other than A/C, it was a pretty spartan GTO. Apparently it lived a very rough life and by 1976 the original mill was blown and it was shoved into a barn near Wausau, WI. It was that alone that kept it from accumulating the stereotypical salt belt lower body rust. Along about 1992 a guy discovers the car and installs a WT block 400 out of a 1970 Manual Tranny Goat, slapped some Maaco paint on it and then it changed hands several times before I found it September of 1998. We began the restoration on it January 2000 and I pulled the 400 in favor of a built 455. It was only a D-port motor but made north of 450hp on the crank and about 525ft-lbs of torque. 20 years ago, that seemed pretty powerful...today—not so much! Anyway, I thought the HO decal was cool and installed it on my air cleaner during the resto. It’s 40x80 with 16’ sidewalls. We really lucked out putting a lot of sweat equity into our old home, then finding this place in a cheaper county. The house is another fixer upper, but the property is awesome! Some day the floors will have room to navigate without tripping over things! Who am I kidding, more stuff will just show up to keep inside! Addicted? That sort of sounds like a bad thing... Too many toys? That’s the product of working to support fun habits and creating a business that benefits from (fun) work tools (toys)!

92-6785 is the correct switch and it is for battery ignition with a twist. This switch controls a kill relay to control the magneto ignition. Click on the picture. On the next page click on the pictures again. Two of them describe the switch functions so you can test it. Good diagrams for each circuit Here is everything we have on your model and they come up in no particular order so look through them all. One there on the clutch and seat switches may be of interest. Where I live in Iowa it usually starts out with freezing drizzle then rain for a base of ice then anywhere from 1 inch to 18 inches of snow, wet or fluffy. I have to use turf tires with chains on my inclined driveway or I would not be able to push or throw snow. My neighbor has a snow blade on his 4wd Ford and has more problems than I do and I am on a garden tractor.......... I have old concrete and gravel so I am not worried about any wear and tear. Just my experience. I also have a Original Cab Snow cab to keep me warm and dry and a cup holder for the hot or cold beverage of my choice......

Posted just to give you an idea on the age. The last 2 digits 01 and 02 are parts list identifiers. They must have changed something mid-year. Could be different design or even a different tire supplier. They also started to use the 1st digit to identify the model year so the 67-10DC01 and 02 are different but the 77-10DC01 could be identical to the 67-10DC02. Click on the pictures Garry

I have 2 boys that's technically old enough to drive the BU ,but with what's mostly under the hood and their notion to find the firewall under the loud pedal that probably won't happen till a few more years... Seems like I raised a brood of speed demons including the step daughter

Today I got the Case running and even took a ride around the block my next step will be to work on steering it's loose.

I found these Two 16 Horse kohlers off of Facebook marketplace one of them is definitely a wheel horse motor the other one so I'm told might possibly be a gravely? Ended up paying 220 for them both . The wheel horse one he told me that it was board 30 over. And I'm thinking that I hope whoever did it knew what they were doing.

Anyone know where to find a pdf manual for this K90? It seems that mywheelhorse.com has it but it will never yet me download or even login or register, is this site not working? I seen an old post on RS that shows the K90 manual in photobucket images that will not open up from a 2009 post. Just aquired a 1957 RJ35 with this engine and would like the manual, thank you for any leads.

Don’t know if it will come in tonight but they are predicting a couple of inches of snow. That is my cue to put the “winter blanket” on the Goat until next May... Drove it in to the local fuel station and topped it off with premium and a can of SeaFoam. Zach and judge went with me so that they could ride it in one more time for 2019. Always a sad night but gives me something to look forward to for next spring...

I guess I'll be the odd duck out at the moment... I plow and snowblow (depending on amount) with a pair of 520Hs mounted with Lawn Trac R1 AG tires that are fluid filled along with iron wheel weights and then a custom rear bracket for suitcase weights on the blower tractor... With this particular brand tire I have had NO issues with slippage on our inclined asphalt driveway... Before this brand I had Nankang and Deestone AGs which required the use of chains even with the addition of wheel weights... Also the older a tire is the harder the rubber ,the less flex and less tractive forces... I do believe turfs allow more rubber to force the chain to dig in more effectively than AGs unless you get the diamond or net style chains... So just to reiterate IMPO the Lawn Trac R1 or Carlisle TruPower AGs would be my go to tire of choice but loaded with fluid and additional wheel weights. VIDEO0124.mp4

I haven’t been on much lately in the last couple months. For this that don’t know, I started a new job (after being a stay at home dad fo four years) at the end of August. I am working in a distribution center for a major retailer that sports the same colors as our tractors. Because of that, along with everything else life normally throws at me, I’ve been just too dang exhausted to do much at a time. But, the Charger looks a little different than the last time any of you guys saw it. I hooked up with @pullstart a couple weeks ago and got a fender pan for it to cut up the way I wanted to. I’m slowly but surely cleaning it up. Haven’t decided if I’m going to pull the Techumseh off yet, but I am going to rewire it at the very least. Hope everyone’s doing well, I do miss being around the forum and chatting with you guys, but the babies gotta eat 🤷🏻‍♂️

First off I don't have a fully enclosed garage for my lil "street rod" it sits covered in the carport on the asphalt with the battery disconnected (being in the carport with the sun shining on it. from rise to set no mice) but instead of premium gas with an additive it gets 5 gallons or so of Sunoco 110 octane "racing" fuel (it stays fresh for years at least the 3 the engine was out being rebuilt), I have owned this ride since March of 2001 so a little over 18 years.
