10 pointsWhen you are retired you can do foolish things like this. I have the rims painted so I thought it would be cheaper to do this instead of extra set of tires and rims. I will give it a try this winter. I know LOL.

8 pointsSeveral months ago I ordered this Sunex service cart for work. It served me well, but it did have some downfalls, one major one was the top tray wasn’t big enough or deep enough to hold all my sockets. Finally broke down today and upgraded to the US General. So much more room and much better quality. Had to settle for the black one as they were out of red and blue, which were my first two choices
-
8 pointsSo what does Everyone do for storing their tractors for room? I had some time this past Saturday to organize my round hoods to make more room in the basement. Yes that is my little helper too. Now 3 take up the space of 2. Here are some photos. Enjoy

8 pointsI do it the easy way and just don't paint anything! No worries about any scratches or dings and no wiping anything down with a diaper.

5 pointsTook the weights off the loaded wheels that was on the 68 Commando 8 and swapped them over onto the 877 which will be the plow tractor this year. Put the axle bracket on and then the plow. Put the front wheels on that have the weights and roller chains. All that's left to do is put the chains on the rear wheels at some point. Now both tractors are ready for work

4 pointsHave always wanted a Suburban since the early days but because of my trade for the past 43 years I always needed a truck, that Suburban will take precedence over the 420-LSE , I just need to get through this recent surgery and get back to earning a living full time, fingers crossed.
-
4 points@PeacemakerJack Taking into consideration that today is your birthday and you are the one who started this wonderful Vintage Truck topic I want to ask your permission if it would be alright to include a few trucks that are a little newer than vintage. If I can round up some older pictures of trucks that i have owned starting with a 1972 F-100 , 1978 F-150 , 1988 Chevy R-30 Chassis Cab , 1999 Chevy K 2500 EXT cab , and a 2002 Chevy K 3500 Chassis Cab , the 1986 K-20 is already posted in here and any newer I will not post as they are not worthy of this section. One of these trucks pictured here has a crunched front end and @WV Hillbilly gave me the idea to try to put this together, but please be patient as computers are not my forte. And again HAPPY BIRTHDAY

4 pointsWe have plans to do a batch of the smaller ones too, we were just waiting to see how this went. We have another Discontinued piece that I am finishing up and will get pics posted later this week!

4 pointsKnow that Regal Red paint is the one, true "red". Know that the Ponds were not heirs to a facial cream empire... Understand where baby Wheel Horses come from... (lots of them)... and agree to accept them into your home unconditionally...
-
4 pointsHappy Happy Jack! Hey some left a nice pair of Horses and a beat up old trailer at my place the other day and if he don't come get them in a week they stay ... well maybe not the trailer. Good thing I got extra spots in the shed.... it's raining out!
-
4 pointsAs long as you don't have a significant other whose favorite bath towel you just stole, I think it's a great idea.

4 pointsThanks so much guys for you friendship and camaraderie. I’m so glad that I joined this forum five years ago. I’m going to record a couple of vintage photos for posterity... Dad and I—1977 Dad and I last Saturday. I’m blessed to still have him as an integral part of my life! I’m glad that more of you got the opportunity to meet him too! If it wasn’t for him, I wouldn’t be...you get the picture😉

3 pointsGood evening all. Just spent a couple hours with Red Square member Historic Horse. Looked at his treasures, We struck a deal, I went and came back with a trailer, he busted his hump in my absence and made a path for me and my truck/trailer right back to his shed and the goodies. We backed the 417 on my trailer (he did ,I pushed ), the rain made my planked deck as slimy as deer guts on a door knob. Then I found a couple cool ones in the back of my of my rig and we popped a couple. The rotto tiller was next, and then the plow. I think we cracked a couple more open then. The rain got no worse than annoying. Strapped the old girl down, and he came out with the wheel horse spreader,NICE! Into the truck bed with that and three suit case weights . That delighted me, I've been watching for some of them. Then came the rototiller mule, belt and helper spring. I think at this point we needed to get out of the lower twenty and back to his garage. However the tail gate had to be closed, and the trailer gate/ramp as well. Uh oh, that cost me another cold one! Then a final check in the shed and he asked me if I wanted what appeared to be a home made cultivator frame / hitch with no tines. I said sure why not. Then up to the garage to get a bag of tiller accessories he had.Wow! He comes out with the coulter wheel and hardware he didn't know he had for the plow. Then out with another box off goodies he comes. A slot hitch, a sleeve hitch, and pin, New tiller lift chain brand new hardware. A lift cable, clevis,s and more. One more trip, a large wooden box,and in it 8 brand new tines for the home made cultivator and shafts. I.m forgetting stuff I'm sure. You get the idea. Two happy guys with a great deal each. No better way to enjow a sunday afternoon.

3 pointsThat’s the only reason Boomer and I turn around and go back home.We never bring enough snacks! 😂😂 When we make the trip to ME I will add a stop by to shake your hand!
-
3 pointsThanks for the Birthday wishes once again. You will notice that we have a variety of trucks in this thread, many old but some newer. I think everyone has been putting a good vibe out with the trucks (and cars) that they have shared. We all have seemed to enjoy them. I am excited to see what you have and I’ll be patiently waiting...

3 pointsIt's either a Chore Boy Aircooled, or a Busy Boy. About the only difference that can explain that is the igniter trip. They are otherwise the same engine. I have an A/C Chore Boy 1.5 myself. Not too common for sure. ..Today? Put the old tub cart vacuum to work!
-
3 pointsAfter that BANG did you guys have to change your.............. well you know what.
-
3 pointsI resemble that remark! Especially today—must make me a birthday (thanks for rolling them under cover. I’ll be over soon to get them outta your way.)

3 pointsBought a very beat up snow thrower but it had the flag and rod to raise and lower the thrower and that’s the part I was missing. Paid $35 for the whole thing.

3 pointsFirst off, from the Can't help you much with your search, but you've been given a wealth of info from your fellow countrymen. (I normally say colonials but I'm being polite today. ) I run 3 C series tractors, all with manual transmissions. One 8hp and two 12's. Can't fault them for my uses. No experience of hydro's so can't comment on them. Good luck in your search. Be warned though. You get one and soon you'll find you have more. Your lasses will want one each.

3 pointsExcellent find! Wish I could help... I speculate they had these products in the late 60s and early 70s. I have seen that tube before in the hands of another collector. Not the same, but with a similar part number, I have this quart of gear oil and i have seen a quart of 2-cycle snowmobile oil in the same style bottle, and they only did snowmobiles from 69-72. I also have this spray can of graphite. Always wondered what role that played in wheel horse maintenance ... i use it on my locks and garage doors.

3 pointsThat's a typical day for me, but I have Attention Deficit Disorder. Been trying to pressure wash my deck for the last three weeks. The washer is buried in the back of the shop, as I start to dig it out, hey I've been looking for that, another day shot . May be spring before the deck gets done. Nice job on the tractor.

2 pointsEric the AT is close to you? It’s kinda in my backyard. Lol.Some pics from 2 weeks ago. I take my dog Boomer for early morning walks on this stretch before the crowds show up.
