17 pointsWell I opened my 2 suitcases to unpack from my MJ trip and look what was hidden in my dirty laundry Even had a TSA inspection tag inside both suitcases. I bet that person just shook there head. The Southwest Airlines backage handlers had to grunt a little loading these. During my NJ travels I stopped at two old WH dealers: MJ,s Small Engine in Califon and JJ Nemes and Sons. Also gots some things at Stevebo,s Meet and Greet. I had hoped to find more goodies, but I was actually just below the free max suitcase weight

11 pointsMounted the restored wheels and fresh tires on the ol-girl. Should have it back in action this weekend to mulch some leaves. It was getting a bit smokey and difficult to start so I pulled the head and found the exhaust valve was pretty crusty with heavy white deposits, also showed signs of galling and wouldnt seat evenly. Got a fresh set in the mail and hope to have it buttoned up Friday. Heads already decked and gaskets on standby.

10 pointsLooking though some cool old garden center industry magazines and came across this article about a research project by the Farm Electrification Council and Lead Industries Association testing the waters of electric tractors. Wonder what ever happened to that prototype! Would be fun to replicate if the batteries weren't so expensive. This is from April of 1969.

8 pointsMy new Kohler motor sign installed today in the garage! Also took a picture of the two wheel horse carts I own. One of the early LTD-24 carts snd the more common stamped tumb cart! Comparing them from the bottom side view!

7 pointsVery nice Lane... almost forgot, I just picked up this double sided one too! Like you...I've got no available wall space to display it though.

7 pointsYou can always look for another one for full treatment... There happens to be a Big Show not too far from you in June every year, at the South Mountain Fairgrounds in Biglerville / Arendtsville. It’s Wheel Horse only and there have been known to have been some good deals! I went with one tractor in my 5’ box Colorado thinking I was full and wouldn’t bring anything home... this is my truck heading back to MI after my first show

6 pointsHello all, I just thought I would introduce myself quick. My name is Brad and I used to own a Wheel Horse. I know, great intro to a Wheel Horse forum. I currently have a 1996 White Outdoor GT1855 that I am rebuilding the Hydrostat on. In trying to find info on the Eaton 1100-057 that I have, I came across this forum and the wealth of knowledge on it. Hello everyone!

6 pointsPicked it up and brought her home. My uncle saw the ad on CL for free curbside pickup of this and it was about 2 miles from our house. He texted me thinking it was me giving away tractors. Lol. As luck would have it my son had the trailer and his pickup at work delivering a wood stove to his boss and picking Up his snowblower to fix. I stopped on my way home to see if it was still there and it was I spoke to the owner who bought it 10 yrs ago as a spare tractor at a garage sale in Florida NY. About 15 min away. He told me he used it to pull his cub cadet back to the house when it broke down. 😂 My son had to work late but Er got it back home for assessment. Lots of notes from the original owner under the seat. I’ll dig in after work tomorrow.

6 points1054/Johnson Loader. I had this 1054 sitting around for the past few years and I picked up the loader attachment this past spring. The loader did not include a subframe so I spent the last two days making the subframe and the weight box. I was a little concerned over rather the unit worked or not but so far so good.

6 pointsToo bad Hoosier doesn’t make big ole AGs 😂 Looks like I’ll have to pick up another tractor to throw em on...... oh darn 🤷🏻♂️😂😂
-
6 pointsWish you could be there too! It would be fun to see you heckling the gang we have to settle for your long distance posting...
-
6 points@pullstart Now that we are way off topic @AMC RULES we had a serious problem last fall with those chipmunks running rampant all over here, the worst part is all the holes created around the foundation when there are 100's of acres out back for them to free range on, its a good thing 22 ammo is back on the shelves.
-
5 pointsTrue...but those are photos that bring a smile to the face every time that I see them! Classic.

5 pointsThem picts have covered more miles than them parts did.

5 pointsShortened my 702 choke cable today. I have been wanting to do this ever since it was installed on a redo two years ago! Just now getting it done! dash looks a little better now and choke works fine. This is probably my best 7 ho Kohler as it was rebuilt and really runs nice.

5 pointsWell, I thought about spacers... but the skinny ag tires are where Frank was heading. Kyle met me at a race track and we spent about an hour watching practice. He saw the race tires and thought they’d look cool on a Wheel Horse. Next project... maybe
-
5 pointsTo think I was hoping to see some superior bucks, instead I get under-barn pests I love this forum! One minute we’re talking about the hunt, next we’re talking about the cost of fair trade metric crescent wrenches!
-
5 points@LengerichKA88 Hey Kyle, it was awesome meeting you last weekend! Here are the pictures of Frank wearing race shoes. Too bad they didn’t quite fit! Next project, maybe
-
5 pointsThanks Eric! I’m not sure I can keep up with this. Lol. We just got the Jacobson Sat and it’s all good just needs correct front tires and rims. I thought between that and the Massey my luck had run out for awhile. Then this beauty falls into my lap! I can’t wait to dig in. I did give the owner $10 so I don’t feel like I stole it. 😁
-
5 pointsNothing on the tractors but something for the tractors. Went on a tire shopping trip tonight. Picked up four more maxxis tires. Two 26-9x15” and two more 26-11x15” for $100. I could pass them up for that. The 26-9’s will go on the gt14 wheels for the wife’s 2054 and the 26-11’s will go on a set of 10” wide custom wheels with gt14 4 lug centers.

4 pointsI’ve built two hitches for my tractors, and the most recent one for Hot Wheels was the product of a conversation with @PeacemakerJack about low and wide mounting points and utilizing the axle mounts for tillers and snow plows. I saw it fitting to use some three point lift links to start fabbing one to suit his needs, since he led me on the path to my second one. I’m looking forward to seeing how they perform at J&C Stables this Saturday! This black one was my first, a few years ago. This red one was my recent build. Here’s what I’ve got so far. His tractor has a rock shaft and I’ll be working on figuring out an ideal lift point and height to get his Punisher out of the sod for transport and down in the furrow when he’s rolling the dirt. and yes... I have some super hero something or another bandaid on my finger. Big bad Daddy got a dumb paper cut.

4 pointsFor a kid with no money, I have a lot of ideas. Here's a list of the ones I have written down. Wheel horse Automatic frame with Magnum 14, upgraded steering, forward swept axle Wheel Horse Suburban frame with K181 engine Wheel Horse Round hood with biggest engine that fits, 8 speed tranny John Deere 200 series frame with Magnum 14 and Wheel Horse hydro trans Cub Cadet 1282 with K321 and heavier air cleaner The ones I'm liking are are the first 3.

4 pointsFinished up redoing the 36 inch Wheel Horse rear discharge deck that Rodney Burger brought me from Florida. Needed a new idler bar and the two special bushings. Spindles all tight and good , new belt, some new belts and a paint job with new decals over the surface that was picked mark with rust but no rusty holes! I am going to put on my B-80 tomorrow!

4 pointsThis is the one I held out for 2 years ago. I watched him for 2 months from 300yds. Hunted him for 33 days in archery season and only saw him 3 times without a shot. I had him at 22 yards one time, but he just wasn't standing right to take the shot. I passed several 8s waiting for him to show. Bow season ended and I finally took him at 197 yards with the 270. He was in the woods just to the left of where he was headed in the above picture.

4 pointsSo...I finally stuck my head under the Mule last night to find out what was wrong with my clutch. Turns out it wasn’t a broken/missing spirol pin but rather a broken/missing teaser spring. This is a diagram of a heavy duty version of the Cub clutch compliments of Midwest Super Cub. I am missing that little teaser that is sandwiched between the throwout nearing and the clutch arm. So...I ordered a new one of those as well as new Kevlar friction disc, pressure plates, and HD clutch spring. That should keep Judge in good shape for a long time

4 pointsThem are wicked handy. My first full-time job out of high school was at a pallet factory. My buddy Jeff and I applied at the same time and were both hired. I was put on a pallet disassembly machine and Jeff became a yard laborer. The owner of the company had an interesting sense of humor at times. One day I noticed a couple times that Jeff was just kind of wandering around. At one point he came up to me and asked me if I knew where something was. I was busy and didn't really pay that much attention but told him ... no I didn't.... Later on I found out that the boss had let him walk around the yard, factory, office, repair shop... Looking for a board stretcher.

4 pointsBut where would granny ride on the long trip to Cali-forn-ia? Kidding, that's a nice haul! Appreciate the heads up, I'll definitely be going to next year's big-show hunting for a plow and nicer deck.

4 pointsI’m glad to see the shortage is no longer an issue... but my Red Ryder BB gun pops the chipmunks just fine too

3 pointsHi gang, I wanted to report - another one sitting in my garage. The 76 C-120 got her clutch parts last week so is back at it. She's a bit of a wreck but is mechanically strong. The restored C-125 was just getting too dirty while the clutch parts were on order and the ags were digging but getting stuck on the hill - just hopping. Better in the furrows, i guess. The ancient turfs on the '76 are better. That said, the wife wants an auto and I've wanted a side discharge deck in place of the 42 RD. I love the sound of an Onan. No 520s around. Not much of Wheel Horse anything in Georgia so leap when they appear. Picked up a 516H. I know, I know, weaker Eaton. Of course, the engine surges like mad. Has to run on 1/2 choke to smooth so there's carb work ahead. The pump takes her up a 30° incline with mid throttle and max surge and holds speed on the downhill so I decided to hand over the $$. Lots of spray paint but she's a diamond in the rough, at least to me. The 42 SD will do well and has been well maintained. So, three generations sitting here. Couldn't be happier. Thanks to Rich in Lula Georgia if he's out there reading. Now, if I can get through all the honey-dos, I'll be able to dig into the thing - have all winter. Oh, the hood scoop is kinda cute. Functional fan blows down on the engine and is enabled by the light switch.

3 pointsIt's all due to this. Supreme Court case.... S Dakota v Wayfair Most states have use tax as Eric mentioned... and if anyone actually paid it, this never would have happened.
-
3 pointsThat goes along with my new favorite quote I learned while visiting Thomas Edison’s lab last week in West Orange NJ
-
3 pointsLinks to his work, please? @Burnerman if you haven’t noticed yet, we tend to tangent once in a while. Once in a while pretty much means always.

3 pointsIt was great finally meeting you Steve, and meeting you (again) Denny! It was a great day - the 6hr drive home seemed to fly by still having an adrenaline rush and "sensory overload"! I appreciate being the newest curator for these treasures.
