Wish this was one was still around. My dad got it from a church. We fixed it up and then he sold it off. It was kinda clunky to operate but was super cool looking.

Yesterday we visited Köln, a familiar place. After walking around the Cathedral, we revisited the site that I gave my wife a 10 year anniversary wedding ring 2 years back. Then off to an indoor ski area. What a great idea! The Cathedral was originally started in 1248, took well over 200 years to complete and had to be entirely rebuilt after the war. They were built so tall in that time to be a central focal point for travelers to find church service or the city for food and rest. We have climbed the staircase to the top before, such magnificent sights to see in every direction!

Finished the deck build I "mentioned" in another thread! Thought I'd wrap it up here. To recap, I had a friend cnc plasma cut, and weld up a shell. I replaced my original spindles with aftermarket , replacements for CubCadet 1045-1046 deck. Had to fab up the center DRIVE pulley, and modify the Tensioner design. Cut 1/2 acre of grass today,, Looks to be a success!!!

Figured I’d post pics of what the old girl is made of. My son pulled the engine and electrical system while it was still on death row by the crusher. I started going over the chassis in preparation for the reunion of the 2. I was able to get it to this point with 3 wrenches and 15 minutes. I pulled the pedals and pivots, cleaned up and straightened the pins, greased it up and they move like new. The brake shaft seal is a leaker. I hope I can find seals for this trans. The friction material is gone on the brake band. I’m hoping @rmaynard has a fix for me. I was able to easily get it all apart with just a handful of tools. Someone took good care of this tractor. It’s a very sturdy simple tractor.

312-8 last couple of days , zero response to key start, thought it was a connection issue , because it usually starts instantly, got to it today , checked fuses and connections , seamed to react to trying to start with lights on. opened dash and checked out starting switch, bingo ! one of the plug on tabs was corroded . lightly sanded down all related tabs and used DIELECTRIC GREASE lightly to each connection point , back to instant starting . not a big deal , but when you are used to no starting issues at all , it really stands out . had a very good catch up day , taking advantage of the opportunity to do things , day just flew by , pete

Started working on a 36 inch rear discharge mower deck I got from Florida (by way of Rodney Burger) and an early mid-grader blade. Had another Mid-Grader blade needing paint so started on that too! Nice Kohler Motor Dealer Sign given to me by Rodney today! mostly has to do with the pivot handle.

She lives! Got engine mounted and lined up. Miracle of miracles- the belt is in line, tranny works in all gears for a foot or two, and nothing has blown up, fallen off or broken...!!! Lots of fine tuning to go and then the finishing touches...hint: she is gonna be a “wrecker” of sorts, but with an appropriate flare...more to come! 8A1D3706-6341-4843-8F1F-D7660B07282E.MOV

These can be done with the key in the RUN position. Grey wire goes to brake switch. Switch closed (brake on) sends voltage to the violet wire. Violet wire goes to 1/2 of the neutral switch.Transmission in neutral sends voltage to the orange wire on switch. Orange wire goes to seat switch. With operator in seat the seat switch sends voltage to the tan wire you checked before and had 0 volts. This series of components should give you battery voltage in the tan wire. I suspect your problem is somewhere in here.

'79 C-81 and '62 sickle bar take care of the long stuff when need. '82 C-125 and 42" RD takes care of the rest. Hamlet green and lane verges.

I am not sure, but there is only a little resistance on the compression stroke and it kind of sticks at that point.... I took a recoil off a 5hp tecumseh engine that I have and it fits on the engine, but I will need a cup that will work. I also got this metal guard with the tractor but I am not sure if it belongs to it or not, look familiar?

Bowls are for Cheerios and Chili. I've had some originals and I tore them off. Send me your address Jim and when I have time to dig them out I'll send them to ya. You can send me something cool Packer or Mafia related in return. You can buy replacement screens and gaskets at your local Napa.

With the key in RUN position Check voltage at pto switch with pto switch OFF in this order. That is the path the current takes. Pink, blues and grey should have battery voltage. Now try them again with the key in the START position. Should be same results as above. Garry

Kinda. Lol. The plywood is starting to dry rot and the vinyl has shrunk. I got most of the stuff freed up. It’s in pretty amazing condition for its age. The Kohler is going back in. It runs very well and my son was running it in his WH tonight. Both of the tractors were picked up at the same scrapyard. Iv got to make a new brake band so it’ll stop and go through it yet. We managed to get the deck off. That has to weigh 100#’s. I plan on washing it up and keeping it as is. The X mark (to signify the crusher) on the hood and all.

Wish I could. The previous owner had it repainted and re-stickered at a dealer back in the late 90s. All I can say is it's a pewter color with a subtle metallic look. Not the factory paint.

The most rare Massey that I know of in the states is a Massey Ferguson Elf. It was built by Gutbrod and never exported to the states. To my knowledge there is only one on North American soil & that one is in Canada.

My son says it’s all there including the battery cover and mower deck. He pulled the engine for a replacement for his C85. He feels bad about doing that now since we found out how rare & old the tractor is. Hopefully I’ll be posting pics of it after work today. 😁

Don't remember how many times a car would come into the shop with no headlights and BOTH bulbs ended up being blown. ( My wife had a Volvo that would tell you who was sleeping with who as you drove by a house)!
