5 pointsYou can order that copy, and copies from 2019 at www.HapcoParts.com or you can call 812-985-0828. I should have put this all in one response but I'm watching the All-Star game and eating blueberry pie so I'm a little distracted!!!!!!!

We need to come out to the big show in PA to do some publicity. Thanks everyone for your support of the magazine. Have a nice evening!

4 pointsYesterday, I did a few things other than yard/house cleanup from the flood. Topped off oil oil and added Lucas additive to 4 tractors headed west tonight. Put a battery in the Commando 6, it has had borrowed cells in the past but now has it’s own energy. Fixed up Frank’s stack, I shouldn’t have cracking problems any more. Frank’s left stirrup would not stay put, it kept dropping down. I ground a flat on the pedal shaft so the set screw has a land to bit on. Putt Putt’s recoil quit grabbing. It happens about once a year. The center shoulder bolt on the back side of it backs out, then the assembly rotates instead of cam action. I cleaned it all up and red loc-tited the bolt in place... after I made sure everything was working well! Gave them a horrible bath, they ended up all muddy by the end of the night anyways! Oh well, they’re good enough for the gang I’m hanging with. Now it’s time to pack up the camper, load tools, load tractors and head out! We’re hoping to land near Chi-town tonight so we can get through before rush hour in the AM. Portage by mid-morning, if all goes well!

3 pointsHello all, Just wanted to give a big THANK YOU to all who replied, to point me in the right direction with my issue! I got it fixed today when I got him from work. Turns out the trigger wire had a bad spot in it. Fixed, and now there is power to everything and the mower starts good every time! Thanks again! Kevin

3 pointsI always found original seat backrest too reclined , making me to lean forward all the time. Used a couple of heavy duty furniture levelers (plenty of that around here) on the existing holes and it now puts backrest in the perfect position for my back. The slight height gain also makes it more comfortable.
-
3 pointsHere is a diagram I have used for three wire ignition switch and starter/generator.
-
3 pointsI'll be up there Friday morning guys. Looking forward to the show.
-
3 pointsYour engine was made in 1985 so not original to the tractor. The pto switch is 2 switches in one. One half controls the ignition with the seat switch. The other half controls the starter with the transmission neutral switch. Pto OFF and transmission in neutral the power should go to the small terminal on the starter solenoid. The switch plastic wire holder does not appear to be overheated so switch may be ok. Click on the picture These diagrams will help you understand how it works. Questions? Garry

3 pointsI ordered a batch of 5, wife said she was gonna give me one to use and stick the other four up my rear so I know where they are. Problem is that I don't like leaving them with the tractor because my kids can get it started, but then if I don't hang them up right away, which I often don't do because I don't go right to the house, I lose track of them.

3 pointsAn old co-worker once told me.... All women are beautiful. Some are just more than others.
-
3 pointsThis might just happen to someone haha 18 jars of apple pie
-
3 pointsThe Achto Bros use that rig for hauling big tractors to shows Mike. As for the rickshaw that ain't nothin... usually ther are four of them stacked up ther including a four seater!

3 pointsWe didn't get much of a "Tailgate" this year. Everyone stayed inside Thursday but Me Steve and Randy. We did have some fun with a mystery guest!
-
3 points@stevasaurus We made the Tailgate of Knowledge too! I was at that bull session at the tailgate. At one point, I thought the cops would be showing up!
-
3 pointsWas on the new horse today and put her to work!!! Trying it out and added weights and fenders as well as a new shift boot!!
-
2 pointsI had the wiring on the 1045 just functioning and charging, but not "correct". I found the C.H. ignition and rewired the whole system to this diagram. I included the light circuit and a spare 12v switch. The warning light works as it should. The lighter is fused (15a).

2 pointsBetter read the reviews on that carb, apparently many of them dont come with the second choke shaft. I just buy one of the cheapo ones and change the choke out from my old carb - just remember that the little screws are 'peened' and need to file that off and the screws should come out easily, also remember to catch the teeny little ball in the carb body when you slide the shaft out, it sure can disappear!!
-
2 pointsI’m pretty sure I have a good lower steering arm from a 160. If Eric can’t help pm me and I’ll dig it out.
-
2 pointsOf course you have the option of bypassing the - aggravating - safety switches, I do! They too often fail or cause problems and can be difficult to replace. However, I am the only person to use my tractors - If you have anyone else that will use yours that may not be wise....
-
2 pointsI had me a habenaro burger the the other day, nobody wants to be anywhere near my rear! I am totally with you on the kids thing... When I bought Putt Putt 6 years ago, my 9 and 11 year olds were curious 3 and 5 year olds... the key lasted less than a day in the switch and it was a non-standard switch. That is to this day a key-less tractor!

2 pointsThat the way it goes Eric, piece by piece, being 52 years old makes it difficult in a few areas. I expected that. Before I started, the tractor looked as though it had seen the weather for a few years. A lot of surface rust, and sun baked paint. The before and after pictures I'm sure will be quite the contrast.
-
2 pointsJim i figured your pile would have a little more captain than that!
-
2 pointsThat's a sharp looking tractor for sure! I love GT-14's. Congrats on making it into the magazine! I'll have to say that I was unaware of this magazine's existence. I might just have to buy myself a subscription!
-
2 pointsAfter 5 more tractors are loaded I will only have room for on more, you know just in case another one decides to follow me home. I threw the 2 seater sulky on just in case some elder or over indulged friends need a ride.

2 pointsL> magazine is copyrighted material, and as such can not be copied here without permission. If permission is obtained, then we’re all good. Since this is the upcoming issue it’s not right to copy the articles and post them here. If asked to, this post will be removed, however it is my hope that this is enough teaser to be considered free advertisement and helps them sell more copies. its a good magazine, with many articles involving Wheel Horses, well worth the price!
-
2 points@ztnoo, it’s gonna take me 3-4 weeks to get my shop organized. I’ll start working on the final touches to the GT22-8 and start posting more this Fall. my hope and ambition is to make it to Minnesota/Wisconsin in Fall of next year for one of the bigger shows or get together’s. i was certain I signed up for two years membership. Time must be really flying. ill get around to renewing.
-
2 pointsI believe there is Steve but I only could post the photo Aldon shared with me. It was sent to him as we don’t have our issues yet. I just was stoked to see he made the magazine.👍
-
2 pointsI found out that the commando 800 has a fuel pump driven by air pulse and not by a lever. Cleaned up and it still works 👍. Wonderful and simple design built to last. One spring two pucks and a diaphragm.
-
2 pointsRick the most over looked thing is tire pressure. Make sure they are to snuff. And if you have a level floor you can take a few measurements side to side to the blades. I have never seen an adjustment for side to side. The draft wheels are connected mechanically and unless the height bar is bent or loose that should not be an issue.
-
2 pointsBeen doing trailer work with mine. Moved our house trailer around a bit. I'm using the light duty hitch which is really too low for the travel trailer - left skid marks in the lawn where the tong jack was dragging around. Also went wheels up ala pulling tractors when the tong jack got a big bite. Put the garden trailer on and hauled cement blocks and dock sections down to the lake to get the dock into the water. Mowing is next on the list. ZXT - I've got a pair of new rear tires. I came up with the same bead breaker idea you used. Glad to see somebody else has had success, so I won't be messing around with an untried idea.
