10 pointsWhat do you guys think to this? It’s only just sitting in position. I’ve not made a support bracket yet. It’s a universal motor bike silencer or muffler as you call them over the pond😄

10 pointsI'm in charge of the vendor area. We allow people to bring their trucks in if needed to load up big parts, decks, motors, trans, parts tractors. Don Kane usually has his loader there with pallet forks on it. My daughter is running around with my 4 wheeled wagon, if it ain't full of kids, and I plan on bringing my loader. And like said there is almost always a bunch of guys willing to help lift something heavy into the back of a truck if needed. Look me up and introduce yourself. I'll be over in the 1st barn watching my stand with a staff shirt on, another one of the old guys, that goes for anybody on here stop buy and introduce your selves. eric j

10 pointsGo empty handed. Buy a tractor and a cart or wagon. Cruise all the barns and fill your wagon. When it's full, drive to your truck, unload and repeat process. You can sell the tractor anytime if you like for something better, or more to your liking, but keep the wagon for gathering implements, parts, accessories etc. Easy Peasy!

7 pointsSo I found this gem (1964 854) in a barn. Poor thing caught on fire but was put out before it got totally destroyed. The Stearing wheel, seat, and throttle cable all burned. Luckily I came along and rescued her and now she’s getting new parts and a new home! I would like to see some horses you guys rescued and gave a new life!

6 pointsOh, by the way, I'll be bringing a tractor and tub cart for sale. Just trying to help you guys out!!! "Rotten" oldredrider.
-
6 pointsBring a tractor for sure but if don't have room for a tub someone will always borrow you one or offer hauling help! Don't ask the guy with the loader for help tho he will probably have his bucket full of horseapples! Where's that pic when you need it @wallfish !?!?! Found it!
-
6 pointsI bout this one with a knocking K-161 and some sweet car tires. A new engine, transmission, frame and some other unnecessary modifications later, here’s Putt Putt
-
5 pointsFinally got the ole girl out today. She just needs a seat and decals now. She fired right up. I’m very pleased with it!

5 pointsBe sure to come on Thursday or Friday, the majority of us will be walking and buying and then make the rounds with a and cart to retrieve our purchases. By Saturday a lot of folks will be packing up for the trip home.

5 points@dalez! Last year was my first show and this year I’m bringing the whole family. I still haven’t started on my rig to haul the tractors to the show, but we’ll cross that bridge in the next few weeks! I need to finish my wife’s tractor “Frank” still. From my experience, I was in sensory overload. I was prepared to not buy a thing, but ended up hauling 4 tractors home in my 5’ bed Colorado. I warned Mrs. Pullstart that I’ll likely end up with 3-4 more by the end of the show to pack in, so she’s got a better insight already! I had assistance from sellers and walkers by just alike, everyone was more than willing to lend a hand. If you see me and need something, you just let me know too! Hope to see you there, Kevin “Pullstart”

4 pointsIf only I had the wheels finished, this thing could be a roller! The tank got it’s last PC-7 coat today too.
-
4 pointsI had a 16 horse Kohler to haul last year but I figured If you want grand kids I better not throw it in his lap!
-
4 pointsGot it. Bring a 53 foot semi and a load of cash. Thanks I'll be the one dragging my wife and probably a handcart with a milkcrate bundgeed to it. Sounds like it should be quite the adventure.
-
4 pointsThanks @ebinmaine, i owe you a beer. 1st pick after 5 min with 320 grit and a countertop sample. 2nd a little over an hour with 320 and 400 grit

4 pointsHere is my DD: Here is my project: This is the one that is in the garage with the engine out right now.
-
4 pointsI just had that happen on my grandsons Commando. I took a pin punch and carefully tapped it counterclockwise. Much to my surprise it came out easily. Maybe you'll get that lucky.

4 pointsHere is my 1989 square body suburban that me and my oldest son Travis have been working on. It has 66,000 original miles on the truck with a new heartbeat installed a couple weeks ago.I have been driving it daily since then. The engine is a 2002 6.0 LS engine with 35,000 miles. I still have to clean up a little of the wiring once I get a chance to hook up my cruise control - it will be at the big show this year hooked to my show trailer!!!

4 pointsFor my “Blue Oval” buddies... I saw this classic Ford 3/4 ton just down the street from the project that I’m working on. I first glance I thought it was full patina with clear over it. However, as I got closer I could see that it had been “doctored” up to look like this. It still is a sharp looking truck. I don’t know my old Ford trucks real well. What year does this one look to be?
-
4 pointsBy the way @dalez, I realize you’ve been around here close to a year, but noticed after only 7 posts (or less) that you’re a supporter. Thank you for being part of the best website on the www!

4 pointsHere's the scoop guys. I was working on the regulating disc because it was cobbled up. Sometime during a test fit I heard something hit the cardboard that was under the tractor and I knew something had dropped. Not finding anything I found the parts drawing and saw the little spacer. I searched and searched and I did find the little washer but no spacer and knew something like that could roll to the next county. After discovering that one could be hard to find my wife and I both searched the entire garage floor moving things away from the wall and sweeping with a hand brush and dustpan. Nothing. I also checked the K-161 on my 500 Special thinking I could borrow one but it didn't have one. I was baffled. I didn't think the little washer would make the sound I heard hitting the cardboard so I did a test drop. It did sort of. I did the want ad posting and then this thread. Thank you Eric but read on and you'll see that you can save the effort. I appreciate it. I would be curious if yours has one. I didn't know about the square box around the number. At this point I was beginning to suspect that it was never there and you were one of the experts that I was hoping would respond. I'm now quite confident it was never there and wasn't used. You're the man Paul. Thank you Richard. I couldn't find a part # until this thread was started and Paul posted. You did the leg work for me. Even though I'm confident it isn't needed that part is now on it's way to me just in case. Great idea Steve. Thank you. But at this point I things are under control. I really appreciate everyone responding. I told my wife that my Redsquare buddies would come to the rescue and I certainly got that one right. What a great group!!!! One other good thing came out of this. My garage floor is super clean.

3 pointsTupa was the fourth of 4 puppies. No one wanted to take her as a puppy so we decided to keep her and now she's the only one still alive. She's prone to having seizures every once in a while and earlier tonight was a bad one. She completely stopped breathing, eyes were open, body very limp and her tongue was hanging out long. If you have ever been there when putting down a pet, you will know the look. She had died but my wife gave her CPR for about 10 minutes and she slowly came back to life. She's a bit tired now from her big ordeal but she was walking around and even went out to pee. About a year and 1/2 ago we were told by the vet that it's probably time to put her down as she was very sick with a high fever and wouldn't eat. My wife spoon fed her for 5 or 6 days and she slowly came back as good as new. She still runs around like a puppy every once in while even though she's almost 18 years old. We lost her 17 year old Maltese father about 3 or 4 years ago. Anyway, I'm thankful she made it and proud of my wife for loving her little dog so much. Just thought I'd share a good story about loosing our pets.

3 pointsWHX22, Thanks! I think it turned out pretty good. A long way from show quality, but a darn site better than it was, I had to keep reminding myself this tractor is a worker... It sure is frustrating to be a poor bodyman with a touch of OCD... Danny
-
3 pointsWhat a sweet pipe ! Felix you have me wanting to spend some more money now ! Hope l can slip this one past the female radar!! Tractor looks great too!!

3 pointsIt’s just a cheap one from eBay £33 delivered. Search for universal motorbike silencer. 👍🏻
-
3 pointsA little up date. Paint and new bearings. I like these deep dish front wheels. Cool looking from the side.
-
3 pointsOn my first check I got 13 miles per gallon that’s starting and stopping a lot (no long drives) and me listening to my exhaust LOL so I’m pretty happy with that - keep in mind it has 342 gears and a Turbo 400 transmission I kept my pigtail on the engine wiring harness for the transmission so I can put a 4L80e in it if I want to. The guys that are running that set up are getting mid to high teens for mileage (empty)

3 pointsIt's like I never left Steve. I'm already in the mode where I look forward to Memorial Day because it's the start of summer. In Florida I dreaded Memorial Day because.....well.....it's the start of summer.

3 pointsWelcome , I wear a back pack for small items that I buy. Bring a chair to sit in so you can meet all of us ole coots . For larger items the seller will hold after you pay for them or some one will have a wagon or hand cart you can use to haul your goodies to your vehicle.
-
3 pointsmostly done in cash, bring a tractor and a wagon, and pick up whatever you buy. There's enough people around and they are willing to help. You'll really enjoy yourself.
-
3 pointsFirst off welcome! Love the name - mine is Dell too! As far as shopping, you’ll find folks using their tractors and wagons to haul, hand trucks, kids wagons, etc... I sold last year and had a couple of folks to come in with their vehicles to pick up their big items. Whatever you do, come prepared to have a blast! Oh and watch out for that @oldredrider guy who just posted as I typed - he’s rotten!😂🤣😂

3 pointsIf they are running well there is no need to replace the Walbro. The biggest thing you can do for any small engine is change the oil and avoid gas with Ethanol. Use this site to find ethanol free gas. https://www.pure-gas.org/

3 pointsProject creep... Anyone familiar with that? It is when a really simple job becomes a major project. I did not like the way the hood fit on my 71 Raider 10. The hood had been tweaked a few times by my Dad when he ran into things... I made new brass bushings and a new hinge pin. The hood still did not fit right, as it was a half inch too short. I redrilled the holes in the hinges and slid the hood back. Now it fit great! That is when the project creep kicked in... Now that the hood fit, The dings and dents, particularly in the grill really bothered me. So I sandblasted the hood and started the bodywork. I learned a couple of things: 1) I am not a body man, and 2), do not want to be! I have a newfound respect for those who are! I am happy with the results, considering with what I started with. I spent hours with sheet metal hammers and body dollies. This tractor was repowered with a Techy HH140 years ago, and the hood was cut then. I don’t think it looks too bad with the hood scoop. I ordered a 7” long LED light bar to replace the factory headlights, and made a new aluminum insert to accept it. I made a new Lexan cover to replace the original. The light bar has yet to arrive, but will post more pics when I get it done. Danny
