I did some cleaning on the rather nasty rusted Brinly 10" plow I plan on using with the WH 1054. Really pleased to find a very nice plow under the dirt and rust.

At this point if someone were to post the authentic original intention for these parts no one would take them seriously!

Looks like you got a rats nest goin on there Cribs Did a little wiring of my own ...definitely gotta have a battle plan going in....'specially with custom indicators. An old set of jumper cables sacrificed their life to provide the 6 ga cables to run to the 70 amp ignition switch. They were made with many strands of small gauge wire and the insulation made them real flexible. I have no clue how they used to do it at the factory with the original stiff cables.

Soldering iron and black zip ties. Groove the crack with the tip of the iron, melt a zip tie into the groove and work back and forth till it is melted into the tank. Being it is on the top, it’s not as critical and you can sand it and seal it

I spent the better part of today working up the garden at Dad’s and planting potatoes with him. When I got home, I used a paint removal wheel and cleaned up the donor seat pan and gave it a coat of etching primer. Sorry, no pics. I also cut two replacement foot rest pads from some rubber matting I had ordered, since there are no replacements available. This week I managed to source new taillights, headlights, ignition switch, and ribbed tires and tubes for the front. I hope to paint the fender pan this week so I can begin reassembly. Hopefully more progress this week.

I decided to put the grader blade back on the 312-8. Crawled under 312 and attached the solid lift link. Pushed the grader blade under the tractor dropped the lift and the solid link was too short. I had loaned grader blade to a friend last fall and just got it back a couple of weeks ago. The 312 has 25 x 900 x 12 Alltrails II on the rear and a few mounts ago I put 16 x 400 x 8 Triribs on the front in place the little 6". I didn't want to fix the grader blade where it wouldn't fit on my other tractors. So I had to make an adapter kit. It's on there but it's not completely finished .

Fixed a leaking wheel seal on the loader. Hub was pretty loose thought I had a bad bearing. Key was loose installed a new one tried some JB weld to make up the small gap. We'll see if that works. Pulled the vavle apart to clean out and new o rings. Opened up one cylinder for rebuild. Plan to do them all plus a few new hoses. Then gonna make a quick attach for the bucket and forks.

Woke up the 246H from its winter slumber and pulled the deck off to clean remnants from last seasons final mowing out of it. Gotta wire brush the underside and paint it before I start mowing this year. Decided I'm gonna change out the battery cables on it as well. Also put the proper drive belt tension spring on the tractor. Previous owner had two smaller springs hooked together on it.

OK, seems you have forgotten about the ill-conceived wind turbine attachment for the battery powered A-65 which would recharge the battery as you mowed the lawn by taking advantage of the wind generated by the mower. Those are the turbine blades!

A few more clean finish touches and I fired her up for the 1st time today

After 60 yrs, 3 surgeries (1 back) and 2 stents I finally decided to pamper myself. Almost a Qtr. million miles on the Tundra and it was time. Picked up this 2013 GMC Sierra SLT 78,000 mi. Only thing it doesn't have is a moon roof and rear defogger. Buttons everywhere. I hit one by accident and the mirrors folded in. Hit another one and the mirrors ,seat , and pedals moved. Really digging the 10 way power seat and Bose sound. Finally had a nice day for some pics. Just waiting for my Weather Tech mats to arrive. I'll be Stylin an Profilin!

Oh boy getting close to putting it back together. Got to paint the rear end and thinking about a coat on engine.

Trina spent some more time today enjoying her new found love of grading the yard with the 867. On the Cinnamon Horse c-160 I swapped out the positive cable that had the fuse in it for a full size regular red cable. Also removed the plow and brackets. Added the trailer hitch for it. Obviously that means we're going to get a foot of snow. I took that tractor out for a short ride into the woods to see how the snow in the path was doing. Didn't get too awful far but I figured out that I had forgotten to fully tighten the attach a matic bracket on to the front of the frame and that woodspath is very very rough and tumblee so you can imagine that the axle was wobbling around a bit like Jell-O in a windstorm. On the Patriot Horse I removed the starter and took off the bendix to clean it. I had borrowed the spark plug wire to use on the Cinnamon Horse when we were getting that running so I made up another one for that from parts off the shelf. Polished up a couple other wire ends and put that all back together. Put a new battery in that tractor as well. That starter is making a bit of an odd noise. I'll try to get a video of it sometime and post it in the electrical section so we can talk about what it is and I can fix it. The top two are pics of the wiring pieces and the tool I use to make ignition wires. Here's the starter from the Patriot horse laid out ready to be cleaned up. We were hunkered down for a couple hours but all is well now Jim. According to the constant warnings at 7:30, we were directly in the path of the storm, but those mysterious blades must have steered it away. All we got was 30 MPH winds and rain.

Tank tracks off the first and only prototype tracked WH... Ended badly when the Ponds had a premonition and realized future WH collectors would have a very odd attraction to tires... Especially big rear tires...Some kind of size thing... really...odd... And so they scuttled the idea and went with regular old tires so future collectors could spend hours posting about how big their tires are...what tread pattern they had...and how they were in the mud...on snow...grass...etc.

They were going to become paddles for the new Wheel Horse walking-floor tow behind cart . But the prototype was scrapped due to manufacturing costs .

Big spender Sparky tricked the waitress girl into thinking he paid for lunch. She still wasn't impressed! LoL Max the bike builder was inspired by Matt's article in LAGT magazine. He even had the courtesy to contact me and ask if he could use my ideas to build his own. Of coarse this is not necessary but it certainly indicates what kind of person this young man is. It's great to see the younger generation getting involved with the garden tractor hobby. Especially when it's something creative which forces them to work through any issues and figure out ways to make it all work. I provided some basic information but he was able to build the entire thing including the whole frame. Max wasn't trying to build a clean looking new bike, he wanted the "rat rod" bobber appearance and I believe he nailed it. He still has quite a few more ideas and things he wants to add on to it so I'm looking forward to seeing it again out at one of the other shows. BTW, his bike steers much better than mine. That's the weed wacker display in the back

Small show but it was great to get outside, shoot the breeze, listen to a hit/miss thumping away and the smell of unregulated exhaust! The weather was perfect! Got up in the 70’s by mid day. Met up with John and Wayne @wallfish and @Crazywheelhorseman . I even let John pay for lunch with my $50 bill (or at least that’s what the cute waitress at Ralph’s Diner thinks ) There was a young guy there who built a motorcycle along the same lines as Johns. Nice to meet a guy his age that doesn’t want to park his butt in front of a screen playing video games 👍 I snagged a few pics....

Pat and her tomatoes, she puts a bit of sulfur in the soil and gets the nicest tasting tomatoes ever, now to install the tiller onto the Allis 720 to prepare some ground for a few other vegetables.

For the last few years now, my grandfather has been wanting to start knocking down some invasive brush at his house. Usually we use an old Jari Monarch walk behind, but I picked up a 50" side sickle over this winter, and surprised him by bringing his old Electro 12 back to it's home for the job. Grandfather has owned it for many years before it finally quit and was set for pasture. It's been laid up in my shed for the last few years with a bad rear end and a clapped out engine. A C160 donor engine is in it now, and man what a thumper.. still working on the rear end but I got it going good enough to work all day. Have to say I'm impressed with the little unit. Figured you'd like to see some photos The unit is a 7-1311 50" SMS. Tractor is a 1968 Electro '16' as it was. Fits right up perfectly.

Yesterday we had a black hood... and today we have a black hood tractor Only minor cosmetic repairs needed to the steering wheel...then scuffed upto 600g: a few coats of VHT vinyl dye & the mail lady dropped off a package from @GlenPettitright when I was driving the roll-pin home. Blown away by the quality of the steering wheel cap & keychain Glen!

it's a 100 dollar engine, one thing I would recommend keep your old engine even if it's shot, if you ever go to sell it will help

Please share more of your grandfather's reaction to seeing his old tractor come back to life. Was he allowed to take it for a spin?

It was a great time at Ralph's, John was so nice to buy Sparky and I lunch and yes the waitress was quite the cutie! It wasn't till I sat down to talk with the 2 guys that put it on that I found out that they actually have a lot more room than most people think. Over the years they have ended up with over 500 hotrods and over 3000 bikes for other events there. Yes it's different it's in a city but I don't see any reason why it wouldn't grow more and more

I found a good substitute for a large blind gear/bearing puller. A 6" pry bar and light hammer work for removing the 1533 bearing. With the bar in place you tap on the end that sticks out, rotate it slightly and tap again until it pops out. The pry bar end is against the outer race.

I did find one starter Bob. It does run, but I am not sure what it fits. I'll try to get some numbers to get an ID. Did not see any RRs.

Got it! Slow and steady wins the race. The woodruff key was a bear, too.

Gave the muffler a little love (VHT flameproof). gave the PTO hoop a little shine (sanded to 1000g & polished & sealed with sharkhyde) found a cracked battery tray off of fleabay for 3 bucks + shipping. We have just the cure for that sort of thing. after a few coats of VHT vinyl dye...like a glove: Time to leave the nest

Had to use some of those @pullstart loading skills to get these on yesterday.

Jump right back in you know you need at least one of these GT 14 , C-195 or a 520 H. I'm still working on the 520 H, but I mowed the front lawn with it yesterday. Then I got out the C-120/180 put out 400 lbs. of lime in the front yard and mowed back yard and around the grass field. I got trough blew the dust and grass of the C-120/180 and put it up. Went to get the 520 H and it wouldn't start ( may have flooded it ) but it turned over and that's progress on a 520 H. Blew it off and pushed it into the garage. The 520 H is as fast as a Gezalle, but the C-120/180 is as sure footed as a Mountain Goat. They are two different animals.

Got the hood sandblaster and primed, tonight looks like some wet sanding prep for paint. Made up the bushing for the hood hindge set up on these tractors, 3/8 ID x 7/16 OD with a small collar to keep in position.
